Why is the Bible.com picture blurred on my home screen but non of the other websites are? This is not very inclusive.

i noticed there are many unwanted shortcuts on my firefox home page each time i open the browser can you instruct me how can i get rid of them ? these are not those shortcuts that i added by my self these are just unwanted history webpages that just pop up without my permission i attach the screenshot here .

I'm trying to find out how to keep all the shortcuts I've selected for my Mozilla Firefox Home page. I've filled all 4 rows with shortcuts I've selected, but some keep getting automatically replaced with shortcuts to any new website I've visited, which I DON'T want new shortcuts to !, especially when they're replacing shortcuts I actually DO want !

Again Firefox? Again? Third time the charm or something? Stop this ridiculous handoff from Search bar in page to URL bar for searches. It's not safe, helpful, or anything other than confusing. Give us the Option. Seriously, it is why we use FF in the first place, Despite tons of companies not supporting it well for website access. I am mad and literally after decades of use am making my first formal complaint. Fix This Please. Add a bunch of appropriate curse words here please. Thanks and keep up all the other great work.

I set the about:config settings when I got the new computer early last year. It's been working fine. Suddenly, searches are popping up again to the urlbar.

browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar is still set to false. Keyword.enabled is still set to false.

I see a couple of site references to browser.fixup.alternate.enabled, but it doesn't exist.

How do I get FF back to proper search in the search bar?

I have a situation - which I had previously researched and resolved - that has come back to haunt me.

I use an ultra-widescreen monitor and searching/browsing obviously necessitates a center-screen search box which, up until now, Firefox has provided cleanly and with simplicity. However, I see that (once again) despite cursor placement in the center-screen box the search text is being entered in the address bar which is wholly impractical for me since I have to look about 60 degrees left and upwards to see what I am typing.

I say "again" because when this happened previously I was able to make a config change and resolve it but despite that still being in effect - the ".handoffToAwesomebar" is still set to FALSE - search text now has moved back to the address bar.

A brief search of this community yielded no answers. Is there any other known fix or has this now be thrust upon us permanently and thou shalt adapt?

Hi, I'm trying to stop search from jumping to the address bar.

browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar is not working.

Nor is keyword.enabled.

Cleared the cache etc. Odd time it works but goes back once restarted.

This is the 3rd time I have had to post this. I am getting very frustrated. I DO NOT want the search engine within my address bar. Nothing anyone from you "community" helped to disable the search engine in my address bar. Opera, Edge, Chrome, the user can disable the search engine in the address bar. Why is Firefox so different? And difficult?

Hello. i noticed that my shortcuts are missing. i went to settings to check if it's enabled (check mark) and it is in fact enabled. tried to reset my computer and the shortcuts are still not there. on the main firefox page there is actually no shortcut icons on there...at all. all of the options in settings work with the exception (of course) the shortcuts. i would like to know why this is happening...thx

Dear Firefox:

My Firefox New Tab Page will not load properly in normal mode but it will load in troubleshoot mode. The new tab is the normal typical Firefox start page. It has multiple sections with links to many sites. These "links" just flicker. They do not fully load.

When I turn on troubleshoot mode, everything loads fine.

Recently, my blank new tab page isn't blank but has an "Say hello to Firefox profiles" message/ad on the first session after I start up. I would like never to see that or any other notifications on my new tab pages. I want them to stay blank. Is there a setting in about:config? thanks!

When I logged in this morning my FireFox screen had changed. The window for searches had disappeared and the "pocket" selections were all about India and its events. None of the previous options were there. What happened and how do I get back to where things were?

not really a request for help since release 147.0.3 searches handoff to awesome and can't be changed by using about:config dropping back to 145.0.2 allows prevention
