My system • Windows 11 on a Dell laptop. • Firefox Version 157, my default browser. • Norton 360 Standard. • Two Firefox profiles; the warning appears in both. • Firefox Troubleshooting Mode does not eliminate the warning https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/sslkeylogfile-warning?utm_source=chatgpt.com
What I have observed
The warning appears on Firefox network-error pages, including when the internet is disconnected or I enter an incorrect URL.
A particularly reproducible example occurs after I successfully log in to Kotak Net Banking and select Help → Raise a Query. Firefox then displays a connection/privacy warning associated with the embedded page. I do not see the same behaviour in Chrome or Firefox Private Browsing when performing the equivalent Kotak steps.
Troubleshooting already completed
1. Norton Safe Web HTTPS scanning was disabled and re-enabled without resolving the issue.
2. QUIC/HTTP3 scanning, WebSocket Protocol Scanning and DNS/DoH scanning were individually tested without resolving it.
3. Firefox Enterprise Policies are inactive.
4. I found no SSLKEYLOGFILE entry in either Windows User Variables or System Variables.
5. Norton and Dell malware scans found no malware.
6. The warning also occurs when I connect through a mobile phone hotspot rather than my usual BSNL connection.
Questions for Mozilla's technical contributors
1. Does this warning establish that Firefox detects SSLKEYLOGFILE, or could another mechanism produce the same message?
2. Can the variable be inherited by Firefox from a parent process or injected into its running process even when it is absent from the Windows User and System Variables?
3. What is the safest way to identify which process or security product is setting it on Windows 11?
4. Is there a known interaction between Firefox 157 and Norton 360 Standard that could explain this behaviour?
5. What evidence should I collect to distinguish a Norton issue from a Firefox issue without disabling security protections or modifying Windows settings?
I am not looking to disable security features indiscriminately. I want to identify the actual cause and, if Norton is responsible, determine the precise setting that needs attention.
I would particularly appreciate a response from a contributor with Windows networking, Firefox TLS or security-software diagnostic experience.
Thank you.

Hello!
I'm a Japanese user who recently started using Firefox, and I have a question.
I've noticed that Firefox's built-in translation feature is somewhat less convenient than those of Edge and Chrome, especially when I want to translate pages into my native language (Japanese) regardless of the language Firefox detects.
For some reason, when Firefox identifies a page as Japanese, it doesn't offer the one-click translation option, even if the page contains a lot of English text.
To work around this, I have to click the ≡ menu on each page, change the source language from Japanese to English, and then change the target language from Japanese to English.
Does anyone have any ideas for making this translation process smoother?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Greetings, I am on the spectrum with aspergers. I have issues with organization, lining up objects, etc, but I am highly intelligent and present well. I have no doubt society is aware of all the tropes that surround folks with my......difference. I have an incredibly hard dealing with change, and it sometimes wrecks my mental health. The changes are constantly throwing my health and welfare for a loop, and it is really harmful.
Everytime I get firefox setup to where I am comfortable, something new gets shoved down my throat. How to stop the constant feature change diarrhea abuse is inflicting on my health? Recent example. I only use 2 search engines, and I cant deal with the rest, its a colour thing sorry. I have had my search engines set up like this for 14 years.
Recently, firefox decided that I should go for another life rollercoaster, even though I didn't ask for it, and that I should permanently have things like history bookmarks tabs and actions as search engines, and they shouldn't be removable.
I don't have a history, as I value my privacy. I don't have bookmarks, because I remember everything and it sucks, and I type about 350 wpm. Tabs information is within history, so I see firefox as duplication idiots in this case, and I don't do any actions, not even sure what they are and I really don't care at all.
My parents are considering a lawsuit against firefox for accessibility issues like this, as 1 of my dad's best friends is an accessibility lawyer.
How can i stop firefox from constantly flipping my autism world upside down? I don't want my parents to sue them because it will bring a lot of attention on me.
Please help me re-normalize the internet for spectrum users.

I've been using firefox for a little while- maybe three months now. I'm no expert on any of the config options. I run firefox using the built in VPN that my friend showed me how to enable, and I've been using it since. But now, as of roughly today, whenever I enable the VPN, no websites will load. At all. When I turn it off, they load instantly. But whenever I turn it on, it just gets stuck loading forever and ever, never actually getting anywhere. I tried enabling network.dns.disableIPv6 in the config page, because that's what I saw on a mozilla support page- nothing. Didn't do anything. The browser.ipprotection.enabled is still on, and I didn't change anything in settings. There was a firefox update very recently, but everything still worked with the VPN on. I just updated my computer, but I don't think that's it either because it wasn't loading things earlier today either. Not sure how to fix this. Please help?
I have to copy the link and manually open Firefox and paste it Search. This is a new and unwanted change. I do not think i caused it.

The browser color changed. It appears to have changed after a Windows 11 Update. Now the top part is a light lavender color except that on the right side it gradually changes to a slight orange tint. The bar on the left is also a light lavender color. As I recall the borders were a gray color before. Why did the colors change and how can I get the color back that I want?
Thanks

For the last several weeks, one of my computers when it updated to the new settings menu (version 156ish?), it has lost the ability to maintain some of the synced profile settings. For example, I have a couple websites that I list in the exceptions to not have Firefox clear the cookies, and I additionally have the clear cookies and site data check box enabled so that every other website I visit clears upon exiting. This is the setting combination I have utilized for years to keep the cookies from only 2 websites and clear out everything else.
On one of my computers, I'm able to add the exception, and as long as I do not close Firefox, the website exception settings stick. However, as soon as I exit Firefox, and open it back up, the settings clear themselves again, and I have to manually enter the exceptions again. This is very frustrating because one of the sites that I keep the cookies on the exception list has multiple different logins saved so that I don't have to manually re-login to every time I open Firefox.
I have attempted a refresh, and that did not fix the problem. I have fully uninstalled Firefox, manually deleted the %APPDATA%\Mozilla\ folder contents, reinstalled foxfire and this too does not fix the problem.
The weirdest part of this whole issue is my laptop, does not have this problem and the exceptions are sticking so I know that this setting combo works. Additionally, I have tried unchecking the clear cookies and site data box and this too is not allowing the exceptions to stick.
I have also tried re-syncing my account to pull the settings from my laptop and this too is not working.
This experience is on Firefox 157.0.1 (64-bit), Windows 11 Pro 26H2
Thanks for your time and please advise as to how to fix.
In the various settings screens the default color is purple. Is there a way to change the purple to another color?

This morning when I logged into my computer and opened Firefox, I received pop-up after pop-up message warning me that my computer had been infected with 3 viruses. When I clicked on one of the pop-ups, it took me to where I would have to pay something like $160 to fix it.
I immediately ran a virus check on my computer which showed absolutely NO THREATS. Since I these messages do not appear unless my Firefox browser is opened, I believe it is malware that potentially has invaded Mozilla.
I am reporting this, asking that you fully check this out. I am VERY careful what I click or do not click, and my system says there is nothing. Please help.

How can I remove CoPilot from my FireFox browsing? Microsoft recently installed Windows 11 Pro on top of my Windows 10 Pro. Now when I do a Firefox search, it's full of useless suggestions by CoPilot AI and I can't find the simple answer I'm looking for. When I can figure out how, I'll uninstall CoPilot. Meantime, I just want Firefox search to work the way it used to.

My Firefox automatically updating itself to version 157.0.1, which is a normal thing, but the unnormal one was that my tab groups are gone entirely. Like there are none left, which is weird knowing unwanted updates happened in the past with no meaningful changes to me, but this one did, albeit more displeasing.
Is there a way to restore all of my tab groups back? Thanks
How do I restore a session in firefox; used to give that option.
My Chase Bank site crashes Firefox. I'm logged in. I have never had a problem before- this is happening the last few days. It works fine on Edge.
