firefox on windows 11, keeps blocking my camera and Microphone despite express permissions to allow, i look in permissions and the site is clearly marked to allow camera, but when i goto sitye, no camera or mic is allowed until i delete the permission that is supposed to allow it.

I allow my camera and mic.

I return to the site and it tells me camera and microphone blocked.

I goto0 settings>Permissions>Camera

It clearly states that the website is allowed to use the devices, but when on the website the devbices are blocked. Whats messed up is, if i delete your settings>Permissions>Camera, it allows me to use my camera and mic, until i refresh the webpage and its blocked again.

This makes zero sense and is every reason for me not to use Mozille Firefox as a browser at all.

when i use Chrome or edge to access yahoo email I can write & edit. when using Firefox browser; I cannot write & edit/highlight/change text colours etc before sending. tried deleteing & re-installing Firefox . please help. Driving me crazy rsvp

Recently I had to install a new windows, and I signed in to my Firefox account and found all the data from the previous windows including the open tabs, I could find them from "Tabs from other devices".

But now can't find them any more, although that device name is still there in my account page, under " connected services", please advise.

Attached are images showing the performance settings and the active extensions in case any of them proves to be responsible for the problem.

Yesterday I noticed a horizontal screen tear when scrolling down through sites like X(Twitter), YouTube, GMail, Reddit etc. I immediately checked my performance options and they were deselected. I activated them again, but this did not solve the problem, I also tried to active some layers in about:config but those were already activated. Checked Nvidia settings too, vsync is on, Edge is not affected, Chrome is not affected, even installed Waterfox to see if only Firefox-based browsers are affected, but that one was OK too.

Last resort was to refresh the Firefox installation from the uninstall utility. After the refresh and all settings/extensions got auto-reinstalled, the screen tear got fixed. I left the PC running over night and when I accessed Firefox again this morning, the screen tear problem was back. However, now, the performance options are disabled, and if I try to enable them and restart Firefox, the options get disabled again.

Would really appreciate it if anyone could provide a solution that does not involve refreshing Firefox daily.

My Firefox created a new profile and reset everything. I was able to go back and locate my bookmarks and restore them, but my menu bar is reset, my history and saved passwords etc are all gone.

After the most recent Firefox update all my bookmarks were scrambled. For example, when I open one marked Bank of America, I get Go Daddy. How do I restore my bookmarks to what they were before the update?

Why am I being blocked from a site I use for work for 4 yrs now!!! UNBLOCK or I move to Duck duck go where I can sign in!!! What the Heck ....get off my computer!!

Looking... Given everything you've tested, I don't think this is your LG or audio drivers. Especially since YouTube works in Firefox and ChatGPT voice works in Chrome on the same machine. That combination screams Firefox-ChaGPT compatibility quirk. My hunch is, for now use Chrome for voice, Firefox for everything else. And if you want, report it to Firefox support. Include that ChatGPT voice plays no audio but transcribes fine. Mention Windows 11, Firefox version, and that Chrome works. That's useful for them. And yeah, no shame in sticking with Chrome for voice until they fix it.

Hi, I'm having this problem on 2 PCs and I'm not sure what in the world is going on. It's not only this browser but I'm trying to get Firefox sorted.

When on sites like Walmart or Costco I'll be scrolling down, click on something, hit 'back'...and then it won't return me to where I left off.

I'm really at wits end. I don't know if I have viruses on both causing aberrant behavior.

If the internet were in it's infancy last century, this would be understandable...or again maybe I have two compromised machines. I'm on the Malwarebytes forum doing all kinds of things to no avail. Defender and Malwarebytes don't find anything.

HI All Recently purchased a laptop and want to have FF sync with my desk top. I am signed in to both devices with the same account and have checked all settings on both and they are identical. Why are they not syncing?

Playback works correctly usually, but if I jump forward or backwards in time it sometimes never loads. This also completely bricks the whole brower, all other tabs etc, until I close firefox and restart it. This happens on all vods of twitch, and also livestreams where I am able to rewind (subscriber function). I thought I was updating firefox today but the process lost the order of my book marks and makes them extremely hard to find. Some I used several times a day with one click. Now it takes me five clicks just to get to them and then a search. The old system worked perfectly for my purposes. Is there anyway to get back the old bookmarks tab and my old bookmarks in relatively decent order? The text promised me all my bookmarks,etc. I never would had clicked refresh if I had any idea this would be the outcome.

I use Firefox in Windows 11, but when I close it and reopen it, my three open tabs are gone, it is supposed to open them, as checked in settings. I see the same thing happening in the MacOs, but no answers for Windows either.

After reinstalling Firefox due to it being slow, no matter what settings, Firefox always opens and focuses on a new unwanted tab. But only if there are no extra tabs open except for my 5 pinned ones.

This behaviour started before I installed any Extensions.

How can I stop this?
