I used to be able to ask a question on Firefox and get an answer. Now when I ask for information all I get is advertisements pertaining to the question I am asking.

I am running macos 15.7.2.

Bought a faster external drive *named EXT3* and I copied my Firefox Profiles from EXT2 *previous External* to EXT3

I have added the location for the profile in /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Firefox/profiles.ini

So far so good, but when EXT2 is NOT mounted the profile won't start, but only when EXT2 is MOUNTED then the profile will start.

Also connectivity is broken then, with that I mean I can't open any sites, not even a local one.

When I look in About:profiles I see that the profile in EXT3 is active and in use.

Any idea what is going on?

On a new computer, I entered a new Mozilla password, and Mozilla on new computer won't sync with my old bookmarks, which still are on old computer.

Sync doesn't add these bookmarks.

Both computers now sign in with new PW. I can't go back to old PW (doesn't have current standards).

How to get sync to work, and get my bookmarks on new computer?

My credit card payment methods are missing from Firefox's settings. I tried enabling every relevant setting in about:config and still they won't appear. My current relevant settings are shown in the attached screenshot. any suggestions?

i have a firefox account on my old windows 10 computer. Firefox is having trouble "finding that site" for some sites I've used for years. I've checked internet settings in Firefox, reset my WIFI router, etc. with no response for connectivity. But I really guess I don't know what or where to check... Thought it was a VPN setting, not fixed. What should I try to find and correct my problem?? Ray ([edited email from public forum])

Good morning, the "Payment Methods" section has disappeared. In its place, I see a link called "Manage passkey in system settings," which takes me to the Windows 11 Passkey section, which I've NEVER enabled!

If I create a new profile, the "Payment Methods" section appears as normal, but when I link it to my Microsoft account for profile sync, the "Payment Methods" section disappears and "Manage passkey in system settings" reappears.

How can I fix this? Thanks

How do I set up Firefox to remember my login security approval for websites (for instance JPMorgan Chase Bank). Chase Bank used to remember, but now I have to verify my identity each time I log in to Chase Bank.

Hi community The option to set, how many rows of shortcuts should be visible on the Firefox start screen, is a good idea. E.g. I set 3 rows and fill them with relevant shortcuts. The shortcuts in the bottom row always changes when I visit several websites. My understanding is: Setting the shortcuts as necessary and that's it! Wtf happens, that the last row changes all the time, that makes me fussy. regards wolf

I downloaded firefox desktop for my imac 27" none of the passwords I had on file would work so I changed the password and tried it. It appeared to work but after a while the incorrect password came up again. I continued to try using the code you sent via email several times and even though it appeared to. accept the password it still rejects your code. I have tried both caps and lower case characters but it still rejects the login

We have a URL that is linked from various sites within our institution. For two of the sites that link this URL, it works fine in all browsers. One uses 'http' in their url and the other uses 'https' in their url. Our web server automatically updates to https either way. For two other sites that link this url it works fine everywhere but Firefox. In Firefox it gives 'The page isn't redirecting properly' error. If you click in the URL and then refresh, the site will reload properly. It's only when accessed via the link on the outside pages. This is happening to anyone that tries to access it, so individual browser/cookie settings don't seem to be the culprit. I've cleared the cache, checked my privacy setting, and tried other options I've been able to find online. Any ideas??

Like the title says. I've removed this (see img) page from history and tried hitting SHIFT + DEL with the suggestion highlighted, but it just persists. How can I get rid of it?

My Bookmarks are missing. I see backups under the profile/bookmarkbackups folder but when I manage bookmarks, they are not in the restore dropdown. I have followed the steps to delete the places.sqlite but when I reopen firefox, I do not see the bookmarks have been restored. I thought it might have been related to Norton Utilities so I renewed a subscription but no luck. I also have a json file with my bookmarks but I cannot choose it from Manage Bookmarks, either

Printing will not show up when I select print, only save shows. What can I do? When I use a different browser it works fine. Only when I use Mozilla, I can't print.

It's a helpful feature I'm sure for some users to be able to drag a tab onto another tab and have it auto-create a tab group for you.

However I have been dragging tabs to reorganize their order in the window my whole life. Now, they are all of a sudden creating tab groups.

Example (one of many) I order my amaz*n shopping tabs by item price to compare.

I would like to turn this "drag to create tab group" OFF (back to the old behavior).

Note: it can be confusing: there's a new feature detailed in the blog: https://blog.mozilla.org/en/firefox/tab-groups-updates/ which is dragging a tab onto a tab GROUP. I am NOT asking about that. I'm asking about dragging one tab on top of another which are NOT YET IN A GROUP and having firefox CREATE a NEW group triggered by that action.

In about:config searching for "drag" the only things I can see are
