Having just used Windows Update (on Windows 10), the screensaver lock screen comes on with my chosen picture AND four large buttons for weather etc. I didn't ask for the buttons, and don't want them. Is this a Firefox issue, or maybe a Windows issue? Do you know how I can stop them coming on please? (Firefox v. 132.0.2 current)

Hello, I have an issue with installing other extensions. Every time I have been trying lately it keeps prompting me to check my internet connection. I have checked it, it is fine, going strong, supporting constant gaming with no lags or spikes, I have no VPN active when trying to install. Are extensions no longer supported by newest mozilla version or something? It is the only browser with this issue and I will switch the main browser if I cannot get extensions to make life easier.

Your article about the expiration of Windows 10 says that anyone that has FireFox on the Release Channel doesn't have to worry, that updates will continue to support Windows 10. I don't know what that means (Release Channel). And how can I check if that's what I have?

I just downloaded the latest FF having had an old account. Working fine but I continually get a message that I am on windows 10, which is wrong. I am on Windows 11. The message has worn out its welcome. Is there a way to fix this.

When I signed into my computer this morning, a pop-up asked me if I wanted Firefox to update. I let it do that, and then a pop-up came up letting choose among some photos and art for a desktop background. It even let me upload a photo of mine. I chose one of yours, now I can't change to any other photo I have on my computer. Please help.

Running Firefox on macOS Sequoia 15.0. Afternoon of Tuesday, 8 October, Firefox abruptly ceased loading any pages. I eventually learned of the malware incident and downloaded Firefox 131.0.2 last night and overwrote the existing file. It worked for a brief moment, then also ceased functioning. Have downloaded 131.0.2 several times now, with no further success. Currently dead in the water with Firefox, and stuck with Safari. :(

Is there any Add-on that will shoot a scrolling screenshot (full page screenshot)?

For reference, there's an excellent extension on Chrome/Brave called "Go full screen" which has simple but perfect functionality, one-click automation, saves as either .pdf or .png format to your downloads folder.

Hi everyone

I used Refresh Firefox option and it created "Old Firefox Data" folder on my desktop.

Awesome stuff. Sadly I cant get rid of it, here is why:

1. At first it said that the folder is used by another program and I cant delete it because of that. Cool, I decided to uninstall Firefox and make a clean install, so I have space to delete the folder too.

2. Long story short, it didnt work. I removed Firefox and tried to delete that folder, but wait for it, yeah I cant because I need permission from MYSELF. Awesome stuff.

3. I decided to use safe mode, so I used run command to run msconfig and I changed it to boot in to safe mode. But wait for it! YES! Its bugged and I cant login in safe mode, because pin is useless and it doesnt give me option to use password, so after hour of various things I got back to my normal mode via CMD commands. THANK YOU MICROSOFT.

4. So now Im stuck with the lovely "Old Firefox Data" folder, which cant be removed normally, neither in safe mode and wait for it! NEITHER WITH ADMIN CMD, not even the takeown /f "Old Firefox Data" /r command. THANK YOU MOZILLA!

So is there someone knowledgeable enough to help me to get rid of that folder pretty please? Like really a lot please.

I am not sure what to do first. I already paid for the VPN subscription. I reinstalled Mozzilla VPN but have not yet put the sudo lines in that are listed in the help on Firefox. Can you send me an email with instructions and any special sudo lines I need to intall so I do not get charged a second time. I heve the recovery code. I am new to Mint. Windows 11 started knocking out my hardware with power surges. Had to come from the operating system itself since the machine is hooked to a power backup that smoothes the current out. When I started up Windows 11 on my new laptop, I had to connect to the web via Edge to be able to install Firefox. I foolishly went on to install Firefox via Microsoft Store. I have now installed Firefox from the Mozilla website via the Microsoft Store version, but I cannot uninstall the Microsoft Store version. I don't have access to the folder where it is installed even though I log on as an administrator.

I can no longer watch videos on Amazon prime, those included and the ones I pay extra for through an added subscription to mgm+ since the last update. What is going on? Is it the VPN data limit thing? If so, how can I turn it off?

After last update Firefox ESR 115.23.0 the menu on the website: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/homeis not displayed correctly. Could you fix this? Second question - can you disable reCAPTCHA when logging in to this site?

I'm trying to install Mozilla VPN but it won't install. The error message is as follows: the installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail.

After an update of both macOS (to macOS Sequoia 15.0.1) and Firefox Developer Edition (to 132.0b3 (aarch64)), the Bookmarks Toolbar stopped working. The same issue appeared on my Windows PC.

Bookmarks toolbar is visible, I can show and hide it but it does not display any of my saved bookmarks. Luckily, they were not deleted and I still can access them via Bookmarks Menu, which is less than optimal.

The Drag&Drop functionality does not work either. When I grab the opened Tab, drag it on the Toolbar and release it, the Tab gets opened in the new browser window and it's not saved.
