As of 5/3/16, what is the most current version? Weather.com is stating I need to update my browser and FF shows it is up to date. They state the latest is 47.0b2. My setting show 45.0.2. Thank You.

I accidentally unpinned a tab. And now can't right click it to pin it back. I've googled solutions and the firefox tutorial for pinning a tab does not work with my Mac.

Suddenly, firefox started automatically opening tabs non-stop. I had to stop the computer. After restarting firefox, the tools/options started opening in a separate tab and not in a box as before. I tried to follow your instructions, but saw that browser preference inContent was already set at false. So the problem did not come from there. Then I refreshed firefox. Since then in configuration page, browser preference inContent has disappeared. And tools/options continues to open in a tab. I would like this to open in a box as before. Could you please tell me what to do? Thanks.

I cannot find any release history. Has this product been kept up to date, and does it work correctly with the last Firefox version ? Can it be used in parallel with the regular Profile Manager ?

My problem is, both my profiles are shown as locked (see screen grab). A locked profile, as I understand it, is currently in use, and should not be used by another instance of Firefox, in order to avoid corruption.

However, my profiles are always shown as locked, even when Firefox is not open yet. The same happens after Firefox is launched : the profile that's not being used is still "locked".

Since recently, I am using and syncing FF (full sync, including seetings) on several computers and several platforms (Win, OS X, Ubuntu, and iOS). And I have a problem on OS X only (with FF 43) :

A few days after the initial setup, FF stopped remembering the passwords : all the saved ones were forgotten, and FF was no longer proposing me to remember new ones. In the settings/privacy, the box "remember passwords" was still checked, but with an empty list of saved passwords and no exception. All my other machines were OK : the problem was on OS X only.

I couldn't find a solution, so I decided to completely uninstall Firefox, the preference files, my profile, etc... And then I reinstalled it and enabled sync. It solved the problem : FF was now remembering and syncing the passwords...

But a few day later exactly the same problem came back...

Any help appreciated...

Jeanny from the Netherlands here. I have used FF 42.0 with my Windows 7 laptop happily each day up until today. Yesterday I received a Windows Update and installed it overnight. Today, I am trying to use my Firefox 42 - but the entire program is nothing but black screen, glitched components and all the text is gone. I can't even access any menus or get to any options. Also experiencing several artifacts around the screen, which might indicate on a graphical bug. Have tried to use Chrome, Internet Explorer and Opera to see if the same problem persists, but all these browsers work fine. Of course I would still prefer to use Mozilla simply because I like the program and all my settings are stored here. ;)

What can I do to bring my Firefox back to life? It's kind of hard to explain what FF is showing me, so I uploaded a screenshot for you to see instead. Hopefully you can help me, as the weekend is around the corner and I would like to do some browsing! :)

I use Firefox on a desktop, not a mobile device. A previous question and answer solved my problem before the update to Firefox 42, but that solution no longer works.

Now in about:config, setting <browser.preferences.advanced.selectedTabIndex> to <false> does not open a pop-up window, but rather a new tab.

I have a persistent problem with the yahoo mail page reporting the HTTPS connection is not secure. The green lock changes to a grey with yellow lock symbol as soon as I open an email.

It reports that: The website contains content that is not secure.

I can view yahoo mail website on IE without problems, but equally so, I have zero problems with any other HTTPS site when viewed via firefox. It seems there is some specific problem with yahoo mail on firefox and wanted to know if anybody else has seen this problem.

I have played around with disabling add ons, no effect.

Not sure what else to say, tried installing it both from the site and through the link provided from this game: http://www.kongregate.com/games/artlogicgames/epic-war-vi Neither worked. It shows up in my installed programs/features, but not in Firefox. Also been having some issues with Flash player instantly crashing on seemingly random video sites when I try to play a video. No idea what causes it. Sent a few crash reports. Can't say I browse many video sites to really compare on, but definitely all videos on the porn site: xvideos.com all cause instant crashes.

I don't remember putting any Pinterest extensions of add-ons onto my browser, and I can't seem to find or somehow delete the source. I don't have a Pinterest account, and no desire to create one.

It appears as of 42.0 you can no longer have a proper pop-up for "preferences", unfortunately this means that it opens in a tab.

How do you set it to open in a new window (not in a new tab)?

Also, where is the alternate color set configuration for the preferences tab so it matches your normal OS color set instead of the default firefox color set, without interfering with the default color set for the web browsing?

My Firefox has some weird behavior when I open Facebook and start scrolling down, I atached two images, first image is when I open facebook, everything is ok (I blured the contacts), second image is when I start scrolling down you'll see masive black square with blue navigation. This only happening when firefox is "maximized" and not windowed. I also try disabling all addons or run firefox in safe mode also I reinstalled it and problem is still there. Have any suggestion what might be wrong, also if forgot to tell you any additional information fell free to ask it and i'll provide it.

(Sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language) Hello, it's been many months that I have a problem with automatic scrolling Firefox Maintain pressure on the mouse wheel can slide in all directions of the web page, very useful for long pages and also for very high resolution pictures.

Off for several release (from 40.0.0 I think but not certainty), scrolling stops and / or is extremely slow and choppy until the page is not fully charged. This is all the more painful if we wait for loading a heavy image on a slow site.

I tested with the Firefox Safe Mode and it changes nothing. Disable graphics acceleration nor solves this defect. Test a new blank profile ... Remove and reinstall Firefox ... Namely I met no automatic scrolling problem on Internet Explorer or Chrome.

As I visit large high resolution photo galleries, is often sucks having to wait finish loading before dragging on the page with the pressed wheel. I leave then your knowledge to help me determine the source of this defect.

P.S. Windows 7 x64 with ATI HD7870 2go

why can't i open squaretrade.com, keeps showing up with black screen and tab above address shows GIF, 1x 1 pixels

I have been trying desperately to install facebook purity add on/ extension, and on chrome, had no problem, works great, but firefox keeps giving me the dreaded pop up that says " Firefox prevented this site from asking you to install add on" I went into the permissions and listed this website as an exception, there is no box that pops up and says/asks me to 'allow ' it, i went to about:config, and the signature thingy is already set to false, as per prior articles questions, and so none of these possible fixes work, how the heck do I get firefox to allow me to choose for my self and my own reasons, the add on and not stop me??? please tell me what steps to use, i have toldyou what i already tried, now i just need some help as this happens all the time. OMG when I hit the button at bottom of page to automatically add troubleshooting information, the same pop up came on and wouldn't allow it, here on ffmozilla!!!

I created a website, hosted at Wikispaces.com, which is locked. Only users that are granted access to the site by me are able to view my site. For 5 years I have not had a problem accessing this site; I use it daily while at work. Today I received the attached error message when I attempted to access this site. I'm able to access all other websites on Firefox. I do not have any add-ons that block sites or pop-ups. Firefox is not giving me an option to say this is a trusted site. How do I get it to let me access the site?
