I use Firefox 132.0.1 under Fedora 14 Linux. Whenever I click an urls in another application (e.g. Libreoffice, Keepass...) a new tab is opened in Firefox (according to Firefox's settings), but Firefox itself does not pop up in the foreground, it remains in the background. I highly appreciate the setting 'open links in tabs instead of new windows'. But FF only comes to foreground in case I deactivate 'open links in tabs instead of new windows'. How can I prevent FF to stay in the background in case 'open links in tabs instead of new windows' is enabled?

Firefox 139.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 11

I occasionally increase the zoom level of websites (usually forums) with Ctrl+mouse wheel if the default text size is too small. However, if I forget to set them back to 100% (Ctrl+0) before closing the tab, the next time I open that URL, it's at the former adjusted zoom level -- not 100%. Really annoying.

How do I force Firefox to open all URLs at 100% regardless of the last custom zoom level? I have default zoom already set to 100% in Settings and Zoom Text Only is not enabled.

Is it possible to remove the border/frame lines around the Menu Bar and the Context Menu in Ver. 131.0.3 to make it look like Ver. 100.0.1.?

Experimenting with userChrome.css only seemed to change some things such as background color and padding size of the context menu, but as a css noob it’s no surprise it didn't work when trying to remove borders, remove margins.

Attached is a screenshot of Ver. 131.0.3 (upper) and which parts of the menus I'm looking to customize or revert back to the style of Ver. 100.0.1 (lower).

After the last Firefox update, my bookmarks list only highlights the thumbnail image. The descriptive text which was previously in white colored text is no longer colored but faded and not readable. How do I resolve this problem? Zak

It would be great if FF could support multiple dictionaries depending on the detected language of the typing. More and more of us are using multiple languages, and I think it's a real benefit for FF to support this feature.

I'm digging up this topic because I'm very interested in this feature (and I think many are).

Hi community!

For some reason, the short description of an email is now under the subject instead of besides it in the overview. This does something to my head that, atleast for me, makes it cluttery and hard to hover over who sent me email. I want a column with who sent me mail, then I want right of it a short description, the start of the mail, just like it always was. It takes vertical space so less email is visible and my head has to switch from "from" to "content" to "from" to "content" which is for some reason very tiring. It's one of the reasons I hate outlook... Please don't tell me Thunderbird changed into outlook -_-

How do I change this back to the way it was?

In the previous version of Firefox I could install a multiple language keyboard layouts in the upper right row. I had to reset everything with a new HDD and Ubuntu 24, which comes with Firefox for Linux as well. Now I can't find how to install those shortcuts that I had before. I need to use Slovenian, Italian, Spanish, German and US keyboards (UK is standard with UK English as primary choice). Thank you for your help.

As you can see from the screenshot i provided and as you can read from subject of this very annoying issue Firefox new 130 update has changed my URL bar and now stuff are missing to the point that links to Outlook and some other stuff that were in address bar URL because i wanted them there and now they place has been taken by namely foxovizija.blogspot.com and watchonlyfoolsandhorses.com and ajax.nl/shop just because i watched few episodes of fools and horses on that link same goes for foxovizija and browsed some items in ajax fan shop! I WANT DOES LINK GONE FROM MY URL so i can put links that i want to be in there and FF 130 address bar being populated by only the links i want to be there and stay that way! and one more thing i want to get rid of that ugly search with google thing because i don't even use google,further more once all of a sudden in FF 130 MY BROWSER IS MANAGED BY MY ORGANIZATION ? That was never there before this update ,so with all that has been said and screenshot as proof i beg you and plea on your kindness and knowledge to give me guidance how to fix this URL thing first,then how to remove THIS BROWSER IS MANAGED BY YOUR ORGANIZATION and last but not least how to block further FF updates because every new update is worse then the next and just keep pushing the whole browser down the drain ! Recently I've upgraded from Kubuntu 24.04 to 24.10. I'm almost sure that the minimize/restore buttons were available in my Firefox after the system upgrade. For the last few days I can see they are missing - please see attached images.

I can partly fix the problem by going to Settings->More tools -> Customize toolbar and selecting "Title Bar" checkbox. In that case I have the title bar displayed with all 3 button (minimize, restore, close).

But I would like to have the default behavior: title bar is turned off and the mentioned 3 buttons be visible in the tab bar.

How to have those buttons in the tab bar when the title bar is turned off?

The latest version of Firefox (115) always launches at fullscreen size in linux. I rarely use any application at full screensize because I like to have other windows open on the desktop at the same time. Virtual desktops are not always convenient. I have tried using the -geometry option at the command line, which is usual honoured by applications running under X11, but this is ignored. Nor can I grab the bottom right-hand corner and drag it diagonally to resize it dynamically. Maybe there is a setting somewhere for initial size?

How to disable the Enterprise Roots preference-have tried everything I can find on this issue. In summary, deleting certificate via reg edit but this does not work, have to delete certificate every time I re start windows 11 desk top pc.

I have run across threads with similar questions in both mozilla support and reddit, but as they are old and archived I cannot add additional info or request clarification, so here is (yet another) new one- I understand you can go into manage data in settings to delete what you want, however in mine it only shows a handful of most recent (opened today or currently open) since my settings clears history and deletes cookies upon exiting ff.

Cookies and Site Data section shows only 40.7mb of data is stored and in Manage Data only shows 8 sites... Clear Data area, with only these two boxes selected (attached) and 'everything' (time) still only around 50mb. My storage/default folder has 1005 folders and the data is over 1.5gb; I would like to manually delete all of this and as others have tried to ask, am wondering if this is ok to manually select them and delete in windows, or using windows %appdata%(?) and if so, will the sync feature (if I just clicked 'sync now') still retain all my bookmarks when I relaunch ff? Not concerned about any browsing/form history or passwords, only bookmarks.
