I am desperate to remove Delta Search from my new tab page. What do I do after I open about:config? I have done at least a dozen resets, have removed DS via add/remove, am running a virus scan at present...this is TERRIBLE, and there HAS to be a way to get rid of it. When I do a reset, the new tab page is what I WANT...my previously saved pages. However, when I CLOSE FF and reopen, the new page is, once again, Delta. Can you hear me SCREAM? Can you see my TEARS? Many versions ago I customized the background color if none was given to a brown to go with the skin I was using then.

Now I find displaying a simple text file is unreadable with unbolded black against the brown, but I cannot find in today's version where to set it back to white (or at least a pale color).

Any help appreciated.

I've tried everything I can find and nothing works. When I print from Firefox it is centered in the middle of the page at the top and very small. Doesn't matter which printer I use. When I print from another browser it prints fine. I did not have this problem with firefox before. I will switch to another browser for now due to this problem.

I can't open anything in my Downloads list. I've tried resetting firefox and I've also tried everything in your article "What to do if you can't download or save files" but nothing helps. I tried to upgrade to the latest firefox to see if this helps but once I've hit the Download button, 1 minute later it appears in my downloads list and... same issue... I can't open it to run it! It's like it's crashed, because no amount of clicking on a download will activate anything. It seems like the Downloads list is dead! Also, (and I think this is linked), I cannot save web pages. I go though the motions and it looks like it's doing the right thing but the pages don't save - they just disappear into the ether! I'm on Windows Vista and have been downloading things happily for years, but suddenly this problem has occured and I've run out of ideas now... Please help!

My remote monitoring for my security ( My-Q see) worked fine until I updated to 20.0. Now Firefox pops up asking me to install web plug in kit. when I do, it still does not work even after restart.

I am using windows 7. For the last few weeks, almost every time I click on a website I get a survey popup. I've tried all the normal ways to get rid of them, but still they popup. I've downloaded Spybot and Malwarebytes, and still no good. How can I stop them?

With Firefox 20.0 I don't get the window to "open with" or "save" when I click on a file to download. I want to option to open the file automatically. I know the new download button on the toolbar is there, but that adds a few steps to open a file. Any options?

I am still not able to figure how to get to the Firefox general page. I do have a menu bar but nothing there helps me. I am using Linux platform. Web browser is Firefox. Whenever I open my face book the USERNAME and PASSWORD is visible in the respective column. How could I clear this. I have tried several times by clearing cache and cookies but there is no use of it. Kindly help me.

Lately, there have been video advertisements on this site that will automatically play with sound that are obnoxious and distracting. I would like to prevent these. The webmaster for the site claims that they do not allow these ads and yet, I get them. He says they cannot replicate the issue and suspect its a problem with my settings. I do not know if the same thing happens with advertisements on other sites or not.

On a related note, is there a way to prevent "roll over" ads from playing?

Not able to find userChrome.css file for customizing the Firefox browser. I just installed 20.0.1 Firefox browser version. I want to disable/remove navigation bar from the browser window, making the browser to work like kiosk mode.

How can I print a whole email document and not a "screen shot" like I get in the Print Preview option. I'd like to print from "file" and print" like I can on other browsers (IE, for example). When I try to print from Firefox it grabs all my info (file folders, etc.) from the left side of the page. I need just the email information, not the entire screen information. Thank you!

Win7 64 bit Firefox20 Adobe flashplayer 11 plugin

when streaming, Task Manager notes:

Flashplayerplugin__11__7__700__169.exe *32 -- uses 50% of CPU and higher

plugin - container.exe*32 -- uses 40% of CPU and higher

Using 100% of CPU results in choppy video. I do not believe this heavy CPU use was not the case before I upgraded from Firefox13 and Adobe flashplayer 11. I tried downgrading but this did not seem to make a difference.

I've got the feeling that I've been here before!! I logged on this morning, and my Roboform toolbar was missing (again)!

Eventually, I discovered that Firefox had updated from V21 to V22 overnight. A quick Google search has led me to discover that V22 does not work with Roboform. Therefore I need to get back to V21. I cannot find anywhere how to get back to V21.

I have found in my downloads folder the V20 link, so I now have V20 reinstalled (= Roboform is working again), but I would rather have V21.

Anyone got any ideas about how to to this???

This has been going on for years. When I have 3 or 4 tabs, especially facebook open, and am watching a youtube video Firefox freezes up a lot. I just dealt with it but I'm starting to get sick of it. The only addons I use are DownloadHelper and AdBlock Plus. I have a lot of plugins disabled. I don't know what is causing this but I just checked on my CPU Usage and Firefox was using 266,000+ K and that's not counting Flash, which was using 70,000+ K. Someone please help me fix this extremely irritating issue.
