Hello. I un-installed Microsoft Edge and Office 365 and now Firefox has stopped working (on another computer not this one).

This is the same problem that someone reported in 2021, but that thread has been archived.

The advice then was to re-install Firefox and to download Visual C++ \ Visual Studio files ( especially VCRuntime1401.dll).

My problem is that I don't have a browser on that computer, I am completely cut off from the internet and can't download anything.

Is it possible to download the necessary files on this computer and transfer them to the one that has the problem? Thanks.

It works on librewolf and brave, and im running on fedora 37 (using the flatpak package) i have tried every fix including but not limited to: reinstalling, troubleshoot mode, making a new profile and clearing cache. also the openh264 plugin always says preparing to install or smth but never does, thought id mention it in case its important.

There is an answer about holding `Alt`, but that is a workaround.

Is there a way to fully edit a .pdf file in the new Firefox browser? I know how to annotate, but I don't see any way to copy and/or paste. This originally came up when I wanted to copy one sentence from of an entire document. Thank you.

I noticed this first when I had to force Google to go into dark mode even though firefox was already in dark mode.

I have searched through some issue reports and have seen a lot of people mentioning that their system theme is not being detected properly. This is not that issue. I can set the firefox "Website appearance" to dark or automatic at which point the UI of firefox itself does do into dark mode so no issues there. However if I go to a website that tries to query 'prefers-color-scheme' and set its theme accordingly it always returns 'light'. This is the case even if I set the 'layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override' to 0 in about:config.

The issue persists when opening a website in a private window.

A few days ago, I tried to log in to yahoo mail, and started getting this after I clicked okay: "Redirecting . . ." (print screen below). Now I get the same problem when I paste links into the search bar. I think this started with the new March 31st update. It isn't just one site or application, which seems to suggest that FF is the problem. https://prnt.sc/dIc_AerJtR7g The tab gets stuck there.I cannot view my mail on ff at all, but I can on my phone, probably because I wasn't forced to log out and back in. I cannot paste links. FF is basically unusable for me right now except for sites that I use frequently.

When I open "Extensions" (about:addons) by clicking the Extensions icon, I want it to start on my own extensions, not Recommendations. How can I make "Extensions" open to the actual Extensions tab? Or can I remove the "Recommendations" tab entirely?

I already saw [to remove 'Recommendations' tab in about:addons]. But about:config

 extensions.htmlaboutaddons.recommendations.enabled = false

only removes recommendations from the Extensions tab. And adding

 extensions.getAddons.showPane = false

does not work, the Recommendations tab is still there.

When I try to log in to tradestation.com, I get a 403 Forbidden message. I have gone to Settings - Clear all History, and checked all the History and Data boxes, and clicked OK. Also, I only use Private browsing, which is set to remove all history, caches, etc. whenever I close Firefox. I have been logging in to tradestation 4 or 5 days a week for months, until today. Please help fix this.

I have an on-line subscription to the Sydney Morning Herald. Recently, every time I try to read an article, Firefox freezes. I can read SMH okay on my iPad. If I transfer the SMH Article URL into Edge everything works okay. What have they done to Firefox?

Firefox always brings up the saved password for a particular website, but the password is old and wrong. Going to the Logins and Passwords management page, I enter a search for the website as it appears in the address bar, but there is no associated login in Firefox. There is no password associated with any part of the website's name or URL in 'about:logins' . Yet still some password shows up with a saved login. How do I find the password for this website and correct the password?

I have installed the Multi-Account Containers add-on. When I right-click on a link on a page, I am missing the Firefox Multi-Account Containers element shown in the Multi-Account Containers KB article (see attached screenshot KBContextMenu.png).

My context menu looks like the attached screenshot MyContextMenu.png.

1. Has the Multi-Account Containers add-on been updated, and the KB article needs to be revised?
2. Is there a setting that I need to do to show this context meny element?

Trying to open kossyderrickent.com I was suspicious of its safety. I was offered the option shown in the attachment. Is this legitimate? I am not familiar with the site and I think it may be unsafe. Pls advise.

hello guys I need help with this problem in firefox developed edition

Specifically, when I use the Inspector panel to inspect elements on a webpage, the selected elements are outlined with a blue border instead of being filled with color. This is making it difficult for me to visualize the layout and styling of the elements, and I would prefer to have them filled with color instead.

I have tried to find a solution on my own by searching online, but have not been able to find a clear answer. Could you please advise me on how to change the settings in Firefox Developer Edition so that the Inspector panel highlights elements with a fill color instead of just an outline?

I've recently been strugggeling with Firefox (got latest version installed, System is running Windows 11) in terms of not being able to use the "Sign in with Apple".

On Chrome it still works, but after typing in my Apple-iD credentials, Firefox doesn't let me finish the sign in. It doesn't work if I want to sign into an Application nor a website using the apple sign-in option.

I know there are different ways to sign in but I tend to use this one thanks to it's simplicity and would therefore be happy if anybody knew the issue or even better, a solution to it.

The web page, for my bank, won`t open. I have been using their web page, for a number of years. When I go to the web page, and try to login, all I get is a screen, with a circle, that keep circling, as if it were buffering, and never gets to the login page. Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome seem to work, but not Firefox. My bank is Security Bank Of Kansas City. https://secure.securitybankkc.com/login

I've installed a new version of Ubuntu Linux and - as recommended on this page's FAQs - backed up my firefox profile, than copied it into the profile folder on the new os. Now Firefox tells me "You've launched an older version of firefox" and forces me to create a new profile :( Also loading the old profile in "about:profiles" leads to the same result

How can i restore at least my passwords? (When i try to copy only 4.db and logins.json from the old to the new profile, i get the same result)

I can't find an "import old profile"-function anywhere...

IF I CANNOT GET BACK INTO MY FIREFOX AND/OR GOOGLE ACCOUNT I CANNOT GET MY EMAILS TO SYNC. How does someone get ACCOUNT HELP? I'll pay for the blasted help if just to get my emails out of FIREFOX? Such BAD customer service -- oh yeah, we aren't CUSTOMERS cause Firefox is FREE. Right now that is EXACTLY WHAT FIREFOX and MOZILLA are worth -- NOTHING, NADA, ZERO, TRASH! And now it will cost me $$$$$ to get my computer completely reset to eliminate ALL TRACES OF FIREFOX!!!
