Today's 105.0 Firefox update rendered my NYTimes Wordle page unusable -- a big empty [ad?] space has been inserted at the top of page, forcing the game halfway down the page (https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html). The PC keyboard is still connected (I can enter letters in the puzzle grid) but the mouse is not connected so I cannot scroll the page, cannot bring the pictorial keyboard into view.

How can I uninstall the 105.0 update?

Any advice returned by Google seems to be obsolete or only worked perhaps in older versions of Firefox. The main idea of using userChrome.css to override the default styles for Reader View does not seem to work. My userChrome.css file does work on other items though (like removing the sidebar width restriction).

Whatever advice I find via Google perhaps cites outdated CSS selectors, but current selectors do not seem to be documented anywhere by Mozilla. Moreover, I cannot find any file on my local drive named aboutReader.css when using find or grep commands in bash, those this file name is alluded to when viewing a page in Reader View and then in turn viewing source on that transformed page.

Moreover, addons that would allow me to change the colors seem to be restricted in Reader View.

It does seem like something has changed in recent Firefox updates but I can't remember when I last saw, for instance, links in dark mode Reader View that were still pink (whereas now they are blue, and impossibly dark to see, especially when you are disabling as much blue light as possible through your operating system). I need a higher contrast color for links in dark mode Reader View so I can actually see them.

I can alternatively use the Tranquility Reader addon and have custom colors, but A) that addon does not work with the Automatic Reader View addon, whereby I can always have various sites appear in some sort of "reader view" whether the native one or Tranquility Reader, and B) hitting refresh when in Reader View will defeat some soft paywalls but this does not work with, e.g., Tranquility Reader, so I still would prefer to be able to custom colors in the native Reader View feature, rather than rely on an addon.

1. Where are the current styles for Reader View even documented? 2. Is overriding them now restricted? 3. Why did the link color change from pink to blue in newer versions of Firefox (this is a terrible accessibility bug)? 4 .Where is the alluded to aboutReader.css stylesheet actually stored on my computer (it doesn't seem to be a file on the filesystem in the Firefox profiles folder, it seems more like it is embedded in the Firefox binary/executable)? 5. Will Firefox settings ever allow us to set colors specifically for Reader View (I don't mean the override settings for all web pages, particularly web pages not being rendered in Reader View ... that setting does not help in Reader View, nor would it be the desired preference for pages not in Reader View)?

I've read the forums, i've tried adjustments for days on Win 11 and firefox. Zoomed in zoomed out, adjust font sizes Either it's way too tiny to read or the page is fine but text over laps i've tried the zoom in on text only as well Basically tried everything. enclosing a youtube page for reference

I recently deleted some email from my Yahoo.mail account and asked for it to be restored by Yahoo yesterday. Today the time stamp on all of my incoming mail is wrong. I contacted Yahoo and they said that I needed to enable my location to Yahoo from within Firefox. Yahoo is not listed as requesting permission so I am not able to enable the location for them. I switched to Chrome and the time stamp in Yahoo was correct. I exited Firefox and tried reloading yahoo.mail, but it did not fix the time stamp problem. They suggested I contact Firefox. How can I fix this?

My muscle memory has me constantly clicking just slightly to the right of where the furthest right tab is. It feels weird stretching alllll the way right or alll the way left. I've tried both spots and it just feels unatural to me. Obvioulsy I'll get used to it after a while its just I'd like it to be back to where I'm used to it being.

The timezone on my Gmail and a few other sites automatically changes to Africa/Abidjan time on Firefox. This is not an issue with my device as I've checked the timezone on system preferences and it is correctly set to my local time. Additionally, the timezone appears to be correct on other browsers. I checked Firefox on another device and found the same problem.

When signing in to my Barclays On Line account,the 2nd page of the sequence is distorted such that one vital box can only be seen my reducing the page to 65%. This happens on two PC's both are using Firefox. Browsing with Edge gives no problem! One PC is running win 10 the other Win11 - both have Norton 360 AV. Is this a FF or Barclays problem?

Hi all; once again and seemingly too often, a Win 10 BSOD and Firefox was reset and where are my bookmarks ? Normally I had them on the LHS of the page but this is getting too much as I cannot find them anymore. Can someone give me a nudge to where I can find them ? rJ

When I'm on a web page, I'd like to be able to drag or copy the URL, with its associated name, from the address bar into Onenote. When I do that now I only get the URL in Onenote. I can get both the URL and name if first I drag the URL to the bookmark bar and then I drag the bookmark into Onenote.

Does anyone know a way to get it done in one step?

Moving from Windows to Linux and in the process moving from Chrome to Firefox. In Linux, there seems to be an issue where Firefox isn't recognizing that I have installed Chrome. No problem, I went into Windows to do the move instead. But since the data isn't saved and you have to have an instance of Firefox running (?) to actually sync, I decided to download Firefox on my iPhone, get my passwords from Chrome, then sync to my iPhone, boot back to Linux, then sync on Linux with the data on my iPhone, and somehow in the process locked myself out of logging into Firefox on my iPhone due to how many times I've had to log in to Firefox to figure out this convoluted and broken process. People are wanting to switch to Firefox due to ad blocking support, and this is a massive barrier to entry. Can we just fix importing from a csv file?

After opening a new window in Firefox, it automatically enters and selects everything in the address bar. this has been happening since I downloaded the latest update for Windows 10 (64-bit). I can't find any option to prevent this from happening. whatever is happening there, it's not useful to me.

Today the autofill feature for passwords / username stopped working on Protonmail login. Windows 10. Specifically the username option. I have two accounts and formerly could select which account. Now i have to enter the username manually, however the password tab still works for password autofill / selection. This is the only site I am having this issue with.

Hello, I use Firefox 105 on my PC. I have embedded various YouTube videos on my website. I've had the following problem for a few days: I can see my videos on both my smartphone and tablet without going to YouTube. On my PC (Win 10 Pro Vers. 21H2) the display wheel "rolls" without opening the video (... "an error has occurred, try again later"). But if I click on: "Watch on YouTube" plays the video via YouTube correctly. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? Is there a wrong setting in the Firefox browser? Hello. My Windows 10 suddenly crashed, so I reinstalled on a new hard drive, with the latest version of Firefox. My old Firefox, was completely up to date but still used the Key3.db file for my saved logins, and it will not work with the newest version. I tried creating a new profile and pasting the logins.json and key3.db files, as suggested by an old Firefox KB article, but that doesn't work any more. Is there any way for me to get the saved logins out of the older JSON file with the Key3 file? I desperately need help with this, and would appreciate any that someone could give.

i have a problem with Rightmove.co.uk webpages. On the webpage where you can see house plans, I zoom into the plan, and the plan just cannot be moved anymore and zoomed as well. I entered Firefox in troubleshooting mode without any extensions enabled and the same issue happened still. I tested the Brave and Chrome, no problems there. I tested Firefox latest version and also the ESR version, both had the same issue. In the past, I have not had problems logging into PayPal via Firefox on Windows.

Today, I can get to www.paypal.com but when I try to log in (takes me to https://www.paypal.com/us/signin), my browser window just shows the circling image.

When I tried another browser (Chrome) I got to the login just fine. My Firefox is up to date (105.0.3)

What changed to give this issue and how can one resolve it?

Cannot access banking website - get page that is all type-written down the left side, credit card site says I need to up date my browser, computer says it is up to date; downloaded and reinstalled firefox - no change i don't know what to do next

The process manager tells me which window/process is hogging memory. But I have multiple windows open on multiple workspaces. How do I switch to that window so that I can see what it is and decide what to do about it?

Until recently, clicking on a window listed in the process manager would bring that window to the current workspace (ubuntu/xfce). That changed recently. Now clicking/double-clicking does nothing and there only seems to be the option to kill the process.

I guess I can kill it and then look at recently closed windows to see what it was. But that is a bodgy.

Can I fix the process manager so that when I click on one of its listed windows, I get taken to that window on the workspace where it resides? (It always was inconvenient when previously, double-clicking on the window in the list, brought that window to the current workspace. You had then to work out where it had come from if you wanted to put it back).

Firefox's window/workspace management is otherwise excellent. It's the best in my opinion. When it starts-up, for example, it puts all the windows back on the workspaces where they were when it was last closed. Very nice.

I can change the color of links and background in Firefox options. But i want only to change the colour of visited links on all pages and NOT also the colors of background and text. These 2 options are connected which is not practically i mean.

Are there addons who could do this? thx
