I use Firefox (94.0.2) on a Macbook Pro (using MacOS 11.6.1) and went to log in to Twitter this evening and had a strange result. I only occasionally view Twitter using my laptop and I use my email address and a password to log in. When I clicked in the field that reads "Phone, user name or email" I expected to see the Firefox autofill to show my email address, but instead it shows the name "Farha Hussain" (see screenshot image).

I checked my Firefox preferences for Saved Logins and I have my email address and password for Twitter saved there, but no mention of Farha Hussain (my name is Keith). I tried other websites to see if I could recreate the issue and couldn't. I visited the Twitter login form using Chrome and Safari and neither suggested Farha Hussain as a user name, so I think that this is something specific to Firefox on the Twitter website.

To make this an even more unusual situation, the only "Farha Hussain" that I know is a doctor in my city who I have been meaning to contact to see if she is accepting patients, but haven't yet done so. Her name is in my Mac Calendar and that's the only place I can think of on my computer (not in contacts or anywhere else). How this would be connected to a Twitter login is beyond my understanding.

I changed my account password last week and it worked properly for several days. Today, however, I had to use my previous password. When I went to the Change Password dialog, however the new password is showing up as "current".

I am highly distractable by screen movements of any kind, and prefer that nothing on my screen moves unless I ask it to--no autoplay or running ribbons of text or even slideshows with pictures slipping past each other unless I specifically click to make something move. during December. I'd like to stop them in my viewing but not be the killjoy that demands they be taken down for everyone, because lots of people actually like them.

Any suggestions on what setting to tweak for this?

My Mac Book Pro crashed so I could not download the bookmarks before buying a new Mac and I cannot retrive the old bookmarks from excisting profiles. (How) Can I get the old bookmarks on my new Mac?

Firefox has been my favourite browser for years but I am about to uninstall and kick it to the curb!!!

Every time I want to attach/insert an image (on many different sites/platforms/apps) it freezes ~ I have to shut down and start again, losing whatever I have been working on. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and have checked ~ all is up to date.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I cannot log into aa.com (American Airlines) with Firefox but Chrome works fine. Error message that their site is down for maintenance but it is up and working just fine with other browsers.

I have cleared cache, cookies, history, etc. HTTPS always is not enabled. Firefox is at the latest version. I have restarted the browser.

Any thoughts?

When I'm using the Firefox browser a small pop-up box often appears saying "Must provide password." If I type in my actual password and hit Enter, the box just pops up again. If I hit the Cancel button it goes away and doesn't seem to affect my use of the browser. Is there a way to get it to stop popping up?

I have Firefox 96.0.1. As of this morning, images will no longer load on any websites. The only thing that has changed since yesterday is that I followed some advice from the Washington Post on how to prevent scam emails. I have spent nearly two hours searching for and following advice to restore images on Firefox, but nothing has worked. I need more direct assistance!

I have tried many times and many ways to delete cookies but the little blighters won't delete. I have used the option "manage data" and cleared each one individually, I have tried "remove all' and I have tried clearing all history. I have tried each option many times and have shut down firefox and my mac repeatedly but the cookies won't go. I know it has done something because it logged me out of all my accounts and all the form data and browsing history [which I would rather have kept] is gone....but those rotten cookies are still alive! This must be a bug. I am using Mac Big Sur. Any help would be very much appreciated please! Thanks muchly.

Whenever I go to Facebook website, the Facebook page goes totally blank. It's happening for a few days now... Facebook is working fine in Chrome without a glitch. It's extremely frustrating. Feel like ditching my beloved browser. Please advice. thanks

Hello, i have build a wordpress blog. it shows up without any issues in other browsers but in firefox the gallery in this page https://www.madamenoumb.fr/coiffures/ doesn't show. after refreshing several times it works. same thing for the home page. i am at a loss at what the problem is since it might work one time and not after refreshing. Now, in the old Firefox, you used to be able to select "Email Link" to send a URL to someone by e-mail in your favorite e-mail client. I used to do that routinely, sending links via Thunderbird. I'm now using FF93.0, and all I see is "Share", which, when you point it to "Mail" it dumps you in Chrome. Now, in my FF prefs, I have specified Content Type->mailto->Use Thunderbird, so why it's dumping me in Chrome makes no sense.

How do I use Firefox to share a URL in Thunderbird like I used to be able to do?

This is a problem unique to Firefox. Even a page that's been supposedly formatted for printing turns out with missing text or text overlaid on other text. And it's a problem that has been occurring over many iterations of the Firefox browser.

What is the problem, and why can't/won't Firefox fix it?

I'm confused by this issue as Firefox worked fine until recently but an older version doesn't fix the problem. At first I only had issues with LibreOffice and Firefox. LO would only open in safe mode, Firefox opened but did not working correctly. The fix for LO was to disable skia so I suspect that is the cause of the Firefox issues, but it could also be a driver issue. Weird thing, Google Chrome also uses skia and although I had an issue with Chrome suddenly not loading, an uninstall/reinstall fixed it. I am aware skia is a Google project so it may be that Chrome and Firefox use different versions of skia.

Issues: Firefox opens and I have my extensions etc across the top but the main window is blank. No websites display. Switching tabs doesn't work. If I open a "More troubleshooting information" tab for example, I can only access/view that tab by closing the first tab. A few menu options work (help menu - Troubleshoot Mode and More troubleshooting information both work fine) but Settings doesn't work. I tried Firefox in safe mode but it makes no difference. I tried refreshing Firefox but it makes no difference. I tried clearing the startup cache but it makes no difference.

This is on a dual boot with Windows 10 and Ubuntu Studio 21.04. I also have Firefox v93.0 (64-bit) installed on the Linux partition and it works fine.

How to disable First party cookie isolation for one site.

I have an exstention that talks with the site, but it cant talk to it unless I have first party cookie isolation disabled. How can I disable it for one site only?

Also, what is the difference between not having first party cookie isolation and having it on.

Can someone help me fix recent frequent crashes ? This is just yesterday. I tried troubleshooting mode and it didn't happen there, although I didnt give it a long trial. I deleted all extensions, and I reset Firefox. Any ideas?

I've been using Firefox on a new laptop for a few days now. I didn't have an account yet, added bookmarks and all that stuff.

Today I out of nowhere got the notification that "Firefox got updated in the background. Please restart the browser to continue". I closed Firefox, tried to reopen it and get a message saying "You are trying to start an older version of Firefox. In order to protect your data, please sign in with a new account." (All messages freely transcripted as I didn't screenshot them).

So here I am, browser reset, bookmarks gone and I have no idea what actually happened. I now created an account in order to at least save my bookmarks to the cloud and prevent such unnecessary loss in the future, nevertheless I'd like to know why this happened and if/how this can be prevented?

Did Mozilla withdraw the update to version 94?

I need to know how to stop the menus from opening -and keeping me from working with what I'm on - including bank statements. The subjects on the menus are not unlike those I see on the Firefox pull down menus! I can't explain it - do you know what I'm talking about????? THANKS!
