I got tired of the shenanigans with the latest "upgrades" to firefox (132 & 133) so I rolled back to the last working version (131.02). In doing so, it required me to create a new profile, which I did. Doing so WIPED OUT ALL OF MY BOOKMARKS, SETTINGS, ADD-ONS, OPTIONS, HISTORY, EVERYTHING!!! I now have a blank version of firefox.

How in the world can I get them back???

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Running Firefox on macOS Sequoia 15.0. Afternoon of Tuesday, 8 October, Firefox abruptly ceased loading any pages. I eventually learned of the malware incident and downloaded Firefox 131.0.2 last night and overwrote the existing file. It worked for a brief moment, then also ceased functioning. Have downloaded 131.0.2 several times now, with no further success. Currently dead in the water with Firefox, and stuck with Safari. :(

Also FYI, I indicated that I was continuing to use Firefox V 94.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 7 Professional. This is because all versions later than 94.0.1 modified settings which had to be reset after an update. This was not necessary up to and including V 94.0.1 Cheers Graham Garden

After last update Firefox ESR 115.23.0 the menu on the website: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/homeis not displayed correctly. Could you fix this? Second question - can you disable reCAPTCHA when logging in to this site?

After an update of both macOS (to macOS Sequoia 15.0.1) and Firefox Developer Edition (to 132.0b3 (aarch64)), the Bookmarks Toolbar stopped working. The same issue appeared on my Windows PC.

Bookmarks toolbar is visible, I can show and hide it but it does not display any of my saved bookmarks. Luckily, they were not deleted and I still can access them via Bookmarks Menu, which is less than optimal.

The Drag&Drop functionality does not work either. When I grab the opened Tab, drag it on the Toolbar and release it, the Tab gets opened in the new browser window and it's not saved.

I have a IP intercom that only works with Firefox 127.0.2 Now Firefox automatically upgrades to the latest version and I'm unable to prevent this. I'm unable to manage my intercom with the latest version. How do I turn off automatic updates.

I am sure that this is a 'known issue' but, when I attempted to update the browser just now, it failed and directed me to install it manually.

Is there a time estimate when this glitch will be fixed?

I already have "Automatically install updates" and "When Firefox is not running" enabled.

But after each Firefox update I still get the "Do you want to allow this app to make changes..." prompt and "Firefox is installing your updates and will start in a few moments" window. These are inconvenient as they require user input and take up time.

I don't get these on all other browsers I use (including Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, Opera, Vivaldi, Brave), which all update in the background seamlessly.

Is there a way to prevent these in Firefox and just have Firefox update seamlessly in the background like other browsers?

I am not sure what to do first. I already paid for the VPN subscription. I reinstalled Mozzilla VPN but have not yet put the sudo lines in that are listed in the help on Firefox. Can you send me an email with instructions and any special sudo lines I need to intall so I do not get charged a second time. I heve the recovery code. I am new to Mint. Windows 11 started knocking out my hardware with power surges. Had to come from the operating system itself since the machine is hooked to a power backup that smoothes the current out. Latest update, 4. oct. Using Firefox Developer Edition. Closed the browser window for the day, and then on opening again it had updated, my entire toolbar, and also icons where the tabs are, are just gone - including the "+" icon for creating a new tab, along with the bookmarks bar having vanished. Picture added below.

It seems like the bookmarks bar is still there, you just can visibly see any bookmarks. Tried adding a new bookmark, but nothing appeared.

How can I fix this?

I installed chatgpt, but I've found it more of a nuisance than a help. I've tried on-line to find out how to remove it but none of the suggestions seemed to work. I'm using the latest version of firefox on a Macbook Pro. Any ideas welcome. Charlie

I'm trying to install Mozilla VPN but it won't install. The error message is as follows: the installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail.

I have a macbook air laptop (late 2010) and have been using the latest version of Firefox browser for browsing. It's one of the few browsers still available. Google is popping up with the message that my browser is no longer supported. Do you have any suggestions about a browser that may work (other than a new computer please)? Will Firefox be coming up with a new extended version that will work? Thanks!
