I have noticed few problems using history with Back and Forward Button.


Firstly whenver we use back button my website to the hiistorical visited website in that same tab. However i have noticed that it keeps forgetting the count or number of historical sites visited in the same tab.

For Eg: if i navigate to several pages on the same site. Firefox will only remember few clicks upto 2-3 back.

Surprisingly when i click back button i am not able to come back to the last visited page by clicking forward button. Once i click back button then i wont be able to come to forward sites as the forward pages are fully lost.

I dont know why is this happening

The amount of space for Cached Web Content is still restricted to 1GB.

Since the time they have introduced to clear cache size this size is still the same. I reported this to firefox that in these modern age and introduction of heavy sites and faster pc there is a need to increase this cache size of firefox to atleast 10gb.

Within a day this cache size of 1gb gets filled fast and then every day i have to clear cache all the time.

Why cant firefox make necessary changes which is so back

There is an element with id "titreChapitre_-5776306477855185115" in the page (chapter "Personnes ayant un test de dépistage positif" which means "People who test positive to Covid", Chrome will scroll to this chapter (well, at least 60% of time it auto scrolls to the element) while Firefox will always display the top of the page.

Firefox is slightly better and more similar to Chrome on the english version for some reason : https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/actualites/A15610?lang=en#titreChapitre_-5634635573997558496

Dear Firefox Support,

as an Manager Service Provider I use Firefox on a daily basis to access our management platforms. Just recently one of our providers launched an new platform to submit supporttickets, get information and sorts.

The issue I am facing is the following:

  • start Firefox in Normal Mode
  • login URL is https://me.n-able.com/s/sso-login
  • upon entering my credentials and 2FA (which are 100% correct) I am presented with an error from SalesForce stating 'We can’t log you in because of an authentication error.'

When I start Firefox in either Incognito Mode or Troubleshoot Mode and following exactly the same process there is no issue all.

Of course I checked add-ons and extensions:

  • between Normal and Incognito there is no difference
  • between Normal and Troubleshoot I so no differences also

Please advise

I recently migrated to a macOS 13 laptop and now, when I watch video or listen to audio online, the space bar no longer consistently toggles play. That is, for some sites it does, and for some sites it doesn't, whereas before the migration, toggling worked on all sites. Is there a Firefox setting I can use to have space-bar toggling work on all sites again?

Hello. I have been having problems in Firefox recently, which I think may have started since recent updates.

First problem: I use Mullvad VPN and now pages won't load...the browser seems to get stuck, especially when I google things but also when I put in actual URLs. Mullvad support says that something is trying to set the DNS and this is interfering with the VPN but I don't know what this could be. I checked the DNS setting in Firefox and it says it is turned off. I am having no problem like this when I use Safari.

Second problem, which may or may not be related: a teaching interface that I have used for many years, now suddenly won't let me drag and drop files into it or do other routine manipulations. Again, I am having no problems on Safari.

I'm very comfortable but no computer expert so please advise in very user friendly terms. Thank you!

First of all, let me tell you I LOVE FIREFOX! IS THE best ever browser.

I am having problems with a specific login SHOPIFY, after months of working well and setting up my store, around 2 weeks ago, it started going in circles, returning me to the login page every time I wanted to edit something, I deleted the cache, history, passwords, everything I can think of, and still the issue persisted. I contacted yesterday Shopify, and since I have no problems accessing and doing whatever I want from Chrome or my tablet, they said it's a browser issue (which I hate to agree with). Months ago this happened with another site I have a subscription with Wordtune, but since I don't use it that much I just open Chrome whenever I needed to log in (after doing the same thing of cache/history/passwords etc. and still wouldn't recognize me and keep me in). I hate to think that I will need to migrate to other browsers as more sites are having issues with Firefox :( nooooo! What else can I do to just work as usual? I'm attaching a screen video (can't doesn't accept mp4, attaching images) , it's simple, I login, enter, when I try to do something I am sent back to login again and again. Can't do anything there. Is there anything I can do besides cache/history/passwords? Please help I want to keep using Firefox. Thank you! Diana

For example, if I add Amazon.com to my Win 10 computer, sync and then check the Win 11 computer the Amazom.com entry is not in the Windows 11 machine > Settings > Privacy & Security > Manage Exceptions entry.

I just switched to Firefox from Chrome, because Chrome was crashing all the time.

All I want to do is sync my computer, laptop, phone and Ipad's reading list. I want to be able to see an article on one device, add to the reading list, and have it on all devices.

I'm logged in under the same name on all, and it says sync is on, but the reading lists are different.

Can someone help me? My phone number is [removed phone# from public support forum], email is [removed email from public].

Hello,

I am in the process of trying to fully migrate to Firefox from previously using both Firefox and Chrome. I wished to remove the secondary email on my primary Firefox account so that I could create a new, separate account to use with a second Firefox installation, because I would prefer to keep all profiles separate as well as sync them across different devices.

After removing the secondary email from my account however, I am unable to use it to create a new account. I keep getting the message that I simply need to "log in", and when I try the reset password option it tells me I must use my primary email to reset my account, indicating that my emails are still linked in the system in spite of my supposed deletion of one.

I would sincerely appreciate if anyone could help me with this issue.

I searched this question first through reddit and the support site and found similar questions with no updates asked between 4-6 years ago, wondering if there's been a method implemented yet or if it's still not possible.

While making donations on various sites, suddenly the "confirm" or "continue" button no longer works when you want to move to the next page to complete credit card info, for example. It works just fine when using other browsers. And this is not just one donation site. I've seen the problem on at least 4 sites now. The buttons used to proceed are grayed out (inactive) for some reason.
