Whenever I type something in the URL bar that starts with the word "amazon," instead of getting a Google search for what I typed, I get redirected to Amazon.com with whatever I typed as a product search. For example, if I type "amazon sucks" in Firefox's URL bar, instead of getting a Google search for the phrase "amazon sucks," I get an Amazon page with the word "sucks" pre-filled in Amazon's product search (and a screen full of socks).

I don't have a search keyword for "amazon" in my Firefox settings. As far as I can tell, no other magic word does the same thing. (For example, if I type "yahoo sucks" or "walmart sucks," I get the desired Google searches. I don't get redirected to a Yahoo or Walmart page.

How do I turn this behavior off?

How do I have all my bookmarks and folders sorted by name automatically and permanently? When I open Bookmarks I want to see the folders sorted and the bookmarks inside each folder sorted, automatically so I never have to manually. In other words, behave like Windows File Explorer.

I'm almost certain I had it working that way on a previous installation of FireFox, but I can't get this new installation of Firefox to do the same.

After Firefox upgraded from 114.02 to 115 menu and tabs background color changed:

These are screenshots of active window. When window of v115 becomes inactive, background color changes to lighter, but still no visible horizontal line between menu and tabs. I don't use any additional themes, "System theme — auto" is selected.

From release notes for FF 115: For users with a Firefox Colorways built-in theme, the theme will be automatically migrated to the same theme hosted on addons.mozilla.org for Firefox profiles that have disabled add-ons auto-updates. This will allow users to keep their Colorways theme when they are later removed from Firefox installer files. I guess it is relevant somehow, but i never installed Colorways and don't know what is it.

How to make FF 115 look like it was in 114? I can see changes in `browser/themes/` in sources between 114.02 and 115. Is it possible to "extract" default theme from 114 and install/apply it to 115?

I use Firefox under Fluxbox window manager in Arch Linux, if it matters.

I have multiple monitors and most often have Firefox windows open on each. Lately, I've been noticing that the Desktop Window Manager process is consuming a huge amount of RAM. At the same time, consumption completely disappears with the closing of Firefox windows. I don't know if sites affect behavior, but most often I have https://music.yandex.ru/home open

OS: Windows 11 (Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.22621.1928]). Firefox: 115.0.1 (64-bit) Screen setup: 1 - 3840 x 2560 with 200% scale, 2 - 1920 x 1080 with 100% scale.

So I'm using firefox on my old PC and want to export the login data to my new PC. Firefox has export passwords to CSV but there is no import CSV in firefox on the new PC. There's import HTML but... firefox exported to CSV not HTML so I'm really confused, why would it export to a format that cannot be import?

When enabling the PiP player window for say a YouTube video from the YouTube website - pressing the 'pause' button on the PiP player window followed by doing any forms of multitasking like opening another window, or opening another program/app or file etc, and then a few seconds later pressing the 'play' button on the PiP player window - it doesn't actually play the video.

You can click the 'play' button over and over and over again but the video in the PiP player window will not play. In order to get the video to play again you have to exit the PiP player window by clicking 'back to tab' and then clicking the 'PiP' icon again.

Using Firefox version 115.0.2

Anyone else experiencing this?

Alle behaupten ich hätte die neueste Version.Hauptproblem ist, daß seit dem 1.8.2024, 17.16 Uhr auf dem PC mit der Version 115 die Symbolleiste und alle Lesezeichen verschwunden sind. Hello. I am using Firefox 115.0.2 (64-bit) on FreeBSD 13.2 release.

A few minutes ago, I logged in to (amazon's) primevideo. When I tried to play a video I got following error message:

Your web browser is missing a digital rights component. In your web browser's address bar, type about:addons, press Enter, and then on the left, click Plugins. For the Widevine Content Decryption Module, select Always Activate, and then refresh the video's page and try watching the video. If the video doesn't play, go back to Plugins, click the gear icon at the top of the page, and then click Check for Updates. When the plugins have updated, refresh the video's page, and then try watching the video.

I tried to find, and then download that "Widevine Content Decryption Module", but it seems like it does not even exist anymore. How can get it? Any suggestions/help will be appreciated a lot.

Any extensions I install suddenly don't show up in my toolbar or the customization menu anymore, so I also can't drag them there manually.

Deleting the extensions and re-installing them didn't work, neither did deleting the extensions folder itself.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? I've attached a screenshot of the customization menu and extensions menu below.

Firefox is displaying a smaller font on some websites. It only does it new windows, not in a private window and other browsers are fine.

Screenshots attached show the correct size (first attachment) and the incorrect smaller size (second attachment).

It's not windows accessibility aka ease of access, as nothing else is affected. All pages are on 100% zoom. I've gone to settings -> font -> advanced and the "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above" is ticked.

Any ideas please?

just updated to 115.0.1 on the Mac yesterday and now tradingview website isn't working - i tried adding it as an exception in EnhancedTracking and CookieSiteData like i did with ebay to get it working again but no luck with tradingview... any ideas ? thx

I updated Firefox on July 1, 2023 and the dark mode stopped working. I used to be able to have all website and pages dark, I've been looking for a solution or work around with no luck. Any forum questions that I've read has all sounded like a "canned" answer with no results. The questions asked were never answered, and it's been very frustrating. I have glaucoma and have great problems looking at a white screen. Even this page is bright white and hard to read and I'm unable to change it to dark. I've been hoping to see an update solving this problem but there hasn't been one. Please send me a real resolution for this problem. Thank you

Long-time problem: Running Firefox 115.6.0esr (64-bit) on Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (64-bit). Viewing "CNN live" in one tab. Mutes if I open any another app/window [Login to website #1 [CNN live] and view/listen...Open anything else; CNN mutes] (Note- This happens in both Firefox and Chrome) Any ideas/suggestions for how to avoid this behavior? When I go to youtube from firefox the page is WAY to large for the screen. This started last week. I can't figure out anyway to get the old screen back. Today I tried going to youtube from google and everything worked normally. How can I fix this? I wasn't doing anything in firefox to try to manipulate youtube. It just started misbehaving on its own. HELP, I don't want to need to use google.

The solution for the original Disable F11 (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1255696) is no longer working. When the solution is executed from the Browser Console...

The return is a reference to "HTLMDocument chrome://browser/content/browser.xhtml" which can be opened up and displays more information.

It used to just come back with something like "Undefined." and then it worked (F11 was disabled for the browser instance). Looks like it just started to not work with this latest version of 115.0 64-bit as this solution has been working for over a couple of years now.

Is there a way to enable this to work in the latest version?

Ever since I update Firefox a month or so ago, every time I open the browser it wants to restore my last session. I've went into setting and check it to make sure I did have it on. I even turn it on, rebooted and the took it off and rebooted. Nothing seams to work. Any help?

I'd like to be able to prevent a specific address from appearing in the Firefox address bar (as a suggestion) when I start to type in the address bar. I tried deleting the cookies associated with a particular address, but the address still appears as a suggestion in the address bar when I start typing its name. Thanks a lot for any help.

Firefox 115.0b7 is not correctly handling my system timezone, and using GMT instead. This only happens in specific pages, such as when accessing a website, or in `about:home`. It doesn't happen in `about:config` or `about:profiles`, for instance.

`privacy.resistFingerprinting` is set to `false`. The problem persists in Troubleshoot mode. The issue isn't present in Firefox ESR 102.12.0.

For a while now (can't remember when it started) rendered graphics and text on FF is fuzzy. Examples of this can be see on Google maps, Miro, Powerpoint etc. On Chrome, Edge etc the rendering is sharp at all zoom levels but in FF its fuzzy until you zoom in.

Viewing on a 4k monitor, running 115.0.2 (64-bit), using the Windows store install Hardware acceleration is turned on. Tested on multiple PCs, all Windows 11
