Usually when I start my browser for the first time, I have the Firefox homepage only. For two weeks ago, suddenly an extra tab show up when starting: A page with a commercial for installing "Avast Online Security & Privacy (Add to Firefox-button)".

I use Avast, but I don't want this add-on. And I certainly don't want that extra tab every time I start my pc.

I have three times searched for a solution all over in the Mozilla & Avast settings and on the net: I should go to "Add-ons and themes" - "Extensions" - and on the list "Manage Your Extensions" I should remove this add-on - but it's not there of course, because I didn't install it.

So how do I remove this tab from showing at start-up? (Google Search can't help) Appauling that someone put this tab on my pc in the first place. Both Avast and Mozilla have other ways to communicate with me about that add-on, if needed. Now I had to shut it down every day for two weeks, because I was way too busy to write you until now.

Suddenly i keep getting this error code. After trying things like refreshing Firefox, using No Proxy option and still getting this error. I dont know what to do, except for changing the browser.

Well, this is not much support question, but I didn't found better place to ask.

Why is this nice feature disabled by default? It is disabled by default not only in Firefox, but also in other major browsers like Chrome, Edge, or Opera.

If I wanted to activate it (Because it is nice feature), then I must press F7, or click on checkbox in settings.

If you don't know what I'm talking, then it is the "Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages" option.

Since Ebay changed their format for auction ads the photos that are part of the ads open as faint negatives that can barely be seen. However, if you right click on one and save to a new tab they are fine.

Ive tried down loading all the required packages; I have the latest FireFox available ;but still get the message on you tube to update to latest Fire Fox. On Ubuntu 18.04the same message but includes a error code 99,999.

I recently got help (thank you, Cor-El!!) and was able to put Firefox into compact mode. It's still not enough. Is there anyway to make even compact mode smaller? After websites add their own headers and all, it now leaves me about 2 inches of working space; it's better than one inch but isn't enough to see things.

I've been trying to keep going back to version 99 (darker attached screenshot in blues) but it isn't being allowed. The other screenshot (lighter, in oranges and pinks) is the current version in compact mode. It's a bit better, but still is not good.

Is there any way I can change the height of the headers myself? Or can I ask someone else to do it? I'd like it about half to 2/3 the size it is now, even in compact mode. Can I do that? If so, how?

Or, can I switch things around so the headers are at the side of the screen? This is a standard 15" diagonal screen laptop currently running Windows 10.

Hi! My windows suddenly encountered problems and I had to reinstall it, but after reinstalling win and Firefox and logging into my account, none of my data loaded to the new Firefox. Please help, for me, loosing that much of bookmarks and passwords, is just like a matter of death and life.

With my last version of firefox I was able to right click and select take a screenshot. However, the item is now missing from the context menu? I am unable to bring back the feature or find it in the customize toolbar items either?

After the recent update, the display of my gmail is now so wide in the display window, I have to scroll to the side & back & forth etc. to view the contents of the email on that page. It is too wide to display properly. This is an issue I had with Google, which was why I was using Firefox. Now you are as annoying as they are. I can't just make the whole thing smaller & hope it fits, as I have vision problems & cannot read smaller print if I do that. Can't I just go back to the previous version? I don't know how to do a screen shot of my email inbox page to show you.

Hello, I'm looking for help with these crashes, it happens from twitter to Youtube and Facebook; I've tried with Troubleshoot Mode and still happens, I've erased cookies and didn't work.

6/30 - I GET RESPONSES BUT NO LEGIT EMAIL ADDRESS TO RESPOND

I had 20 tabs open on one screen. I moved one tab off the the 2nd screen so I could see info between two pages at the same time. When I was done, I closed the browser with the 19 tabs so I was left with one tab browser on the 2nd screen. Unfortunately now I lost all 19 tabs because when I click restore Recently Closed Windows (tabs) the only thing that listed is the tab I already have open.

This has been an issue for a LONG time. I have to remember to close the temporary browser tab 1st then close the main browser with all the other tabs open LAST. I HATE that I lose everything if I don't close the split browser in that order.

I'm amazed, just AMAZED I can't find the answer to this with a simple google search, or searching the questions here, and I re-worded my search several times. All the answers I could find, even chatGPT (I know it's not alway sup to date) told me to use this option even though I specifically told it it wasn't there, is anyone aware that sometimes the option isn't there? What gives? Not blaming anyone specifically, but this a really simple question, I'm I the first person it's ever happened to?

I'm trying to fix a sound problem where videos will not play, and this is a suggested step. The sound on youtube videos plays with Google Chrome, so it's not my sound drivers, just with firefox it doesn't play. One of the steps as well was the clear my info, I cleared everything except history, I wished there was a way to back those up, I'll look it up.

Starting firefox in safe mode doesn't fix the problem either.

This happens only on Firefox and Firefox Developer Edition on one of my PCs and not the other. Firefox is version 113.0.2 (64-bit) and DE is 114.0b9 (64-bit)

I'm using the latest version of firefox, at the moment i had a trouble. Text of timeline zone of my facebook hidden, first timeline unhide but other timeline hidden. I'm restart my firefox, remove and resync ... but this error continue. I'm try other browser as chrome, brave no error. How to fix it? I'm the fan of Firefox but user experience too bad with this error I'm upload some images screenshot with error and no error with chrome browser. ++

Hello! I have a problem that i can not solve, my setting bar and many more things are being whitened out for no reason. Please help me resolve this! Take a look at the Screenshots:

Website loads fine in Chrome and Edge. Certificate verified as valid. Website hosted on SquareSpace. This is a known issue with Firefox as there are many reports with Firefox falsely reporting this error with websites hosted on SquareSpace. Occasionally happens with major sites such as google.com.

Cache and all site data cleared. No Proxy set. Endpoint protection security software disabled.

As this is a known Mozilla Firefox issue this needs to get fixed now!
