My laptop died but I have been able to rescue the SSD and turn it into a USB connected external drive. I can see all data from my old PC.

I have tried to copy all of my User, Local Apps Data Mozilla Profile data folders to my new Laptop but the data does not appear when I fire up Firefox on the new laptop.

The old laptop folder was c:\Users|Phil, the new laptop is C:\Users\Phill {setup of new PC added a second L to my name}

Is this an issue ?

I don't like Firefox videos showing up in my media player controls, so I turned off media.hardwarekeys.enabled, but it doesn't seem to do anything anymore. I'm pretty sure it used to work at some point, don't know when it stopped working. Even though I have it turned off, videos still appears in the Media Player on my panel, and I can play and pause them with the play/pause button on my keyboard. I have also tried disabling dom.media.mediasession.enabled, but that doesn't help either.

KDE Neon 5.27 Firefox 113.0.2

I am running Linux Mint 19 and when I tried to activate the container extension some options were not selectable and a msg appeared at the top of my settings: "Your browser is being managed by your organization" I am a home user and never had anything to do with any corporate PC. The policy it lists is: disableappupdate true. Everything I see in the help database for this pblm pertains to Windows. As I said above I am running linux mint.

With the latest update to Firefox (116.0.1) typing anything in the search bar looks as though my keyboard is mapped to everything - every keypress does something different. This only affects Firefox, no other program behaves this way (Word, Excel, Discord, etc.).

Currently running Windows 10, AMD Ryzen 7 1800, DDR4 RAM, Malwarebytes, and ZoneAlarm Extreme Security version: 15.8.139.18543. Had to revert back to Firefox 113 to type this via downloading it via Edge.

One of the main reasons I use Firefox is the ability to enter the address bar and press "Tab" to go to the next option instead of pressing the down arrow like in some other browsers. The problem I'm encountering is when I want to get to something further down the list, it's all of the sudden tabbing to this little 3 dot menu that has "Remove from history" and "Learn More".

I use this feature a lot to visit past pages for researching, so I'm wondering is this 3 dot menu new? Is there a way to disable it? I've attached a screenshot to hopefully more clearly describe what I'm talking about.

Hi, By accident I changed a setting somewhare and now I can't share screen when using Google meets. I use a MacBook Air M2 2022 and run version Ventura 13.4 and Firefox version 113.0.2. I have googled the problem and had help from Apple support so I have already; - checked settings in my Mac - checked settings in Google Meet - deleted cash memory in Firefox - rebooting my computor - run Google Meet in Safari and screen sharing works

I don't dare to reinstall Firefox because then I will lose lots of data. What have I not done that this community could help me understand.

I have a 2020 Mac Mini with Ventura 13.2.1 on it. I have four virtual desktops which are part of the OS. I place various apps on the others like stocks and weather etc. to diminish clutter on screen. Firefox shows up on all 4 of them. I want it on only one desktop. Safari works on only one and doesn't show in the other 3 desktops. I have searched the net but haven't found anything that speaks to this in particular. Thanks for any help with this and I hope it's just a simple setting. Regards, Jim Stephens

I am using Version 113.0.2 (64-bit) and trying to access a home camera system, mydlink.com. When I go to log in there, it tells me "You are using an unsupported browse.....We recommend you use Firefox 12-51/52 ESR on Windows" Can I get this version? What options do I have? Thanks, Ed Corcoran

Suddenly i keep getting this error code. After trying things like refreshing Firefox, using No Proxy option and still getting this error. I dont know what to do, except for changing the browser.

This happens only on Firefox and Firefox Developer Edition on one of my PCs and not the other. Firefox is version 113.0.2 (64-bit) and DE is 114.0b9 (64-bit)

With the latest release of Firefox the Extensions are no longer viewable above the toolbar. One in particular ScrollSave needs to be set (turned on) at the exact scrolled location and now this capability has been lost.

Any suggestions.

My preferred languages are set to: en-us, en, ja My preferred fonts for Japanese are set to: proportional: Sans Serif, Serif: IPA 明朝, Sans Serif: IPA ゴシック For web pages that set the language to Japanese (using lang="ja" or similar), the correct (Japanese) font is selected. However, for web pages that do not indicate the language, Firefox selects a Chinese font, ignoring my preferred language and fonts.

5eagle: Is there any possibility that the question 'How do I turn OFF FireFox as Default Browser' could be answered? This thread was archived, without conclusion, it seems cor-el Top 10 Contributor Moderator was/is unwilling/unable to provide a solution/answer [2021 ish]. Like 'Shucks ' I would like to 'Turn OFF FireFox as Default Browser' I did not enable via settings so must have missed the opportunity to deselect when installed. If not possible to turn off please advise and I will uninstall and use another. 05 June 2023.

Ive tried down loading all the required packages; I have the latest FireFox available ;but still get the message on you tube to update to latest Fire Fox. On Ubuntu 18.04the same message but includes a error code 99,999.

With my last version of firefox I was able to right click and select take a screenshot. However, the item is now missing from the context menu? I am unable to bring back the feature or find it in the customize toolbar items either?

i've facing this issue for weeks. i've completely abandoned windows server 2019 as daily os and installed windows 10 with latest patches. installed firefox and firefox developer as usual and did my same settings for years. but videos can't be played on reddit, twitter and linkedin. i tried to refresh browser, disabled addons (only ublock and enhancer for youtube is installed) to be sure. but still got nothing. in my laptop with same addons and same privacy & security settings could play videos.

I just got an add-on called LMMS Music Studio. But every time I click on their icon I am taken to something else called "https://www.offidocs.com/edit-lmms.php?username=810908&fileurl=newfileoriginal" Any ideas?

Since Ebay changed their format for auction ads the photos that are part of the ads open as faint negatives that can barely be seen. However, if you right click on one and save to a new tab they are fine.
