I have tried and tried to remove the Ad BLocke for PCH, but cannot do it even with "un" clear instructions given. Can you help?

As in the theme, when I follow the various websites, that always only recommend one change in setting - the little shield at the website address to uncheck - well that does not work. I do not think i ever installed an adblocker. I have no such sign anywhere. But i would like to read emails again.
