I have "Open tabs in links instead of new windows" checked.

I have no plug-ins that would cause this.

I have experimented with the various, conflicting "about:config" directions given online. (Nothing works, so I have reset about:config to default.)

• It is also worth noting the Firefox Support page is immune to its own Dark mode. WHY.

I am going to switch to Opera, since it has none of these problems.

Before commenting or responding on this post, make sure you actually READ IT first. I am so tired of these online MANSPLAINERS being all, "Go to about:config and do blah-blah-blah," or, "This is what you do: Go to Settings > General > Tabs > make sure you check the box that says "Open tabs in links instead of new windows."

Seriously, way too many people online are like customer support agents on the phone: "Try unplugging it and wait 15 seconds, then plug it back in; try closing it and restarting it."

If anyone has any real solution, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Every now and then, Firefox downgrades itself to version 121. In order to change it back, i have to update it to 127.0, and then to 137.0.1. After doing so, a couple hours will pass before tabs stop loading, and i have to close Firefox and open it again, for another error to show saying i was using an older version, and i need to update. this sends it back to version 121. The errors i get, I've attached !! There's also a troubleshoot data thing, not sure how that works though.

having trouble getting into url from Fox News. after entering my email to receive a link to sign into the page I want, the little circle just turns and does not move to the website I asked for. It was working and now it doesn't. Jim

Continuously being logged out of Mozilla on Firefox on different PCs (same account). Mozilla will not accept already saved password. I keep getting prompted to change password. I "change" it to the original password. That usually (but not always) works. How to fix?

i share my computer and when someone else uses the browser they see the last page I used. Emails open and they can see my private emails. how do I stop this without erasing history everytime I use it

As of today, when I launch firefox, all of my tabs (which have been working fine for the last several days) crash.

By disabling all of my addons, I get this to go away - and by testing addons one at a time I am able to determine that: -Ublock Origin -Kaskpersky Password Manager Cause all of my tabs to crash.

Whereas: -Sponsorblock for Youtube -Youtube Nonstop Both crash if I visit youtube, but don't affect the browser otherwise.

So it seems like ALL addons are currently broken when they try to affect a tab?

Hello, I have not been able to upload my video to YouTube for a month. I have been waiting for several hours and the video upload progress is zero. Another browser freely uploads videos. I have uninstalled and installed the Mozilla browser several times. Please help with the settings.

When I creat a new bookmarks they are not automatically put in alphabetical order but instead are placed in the ned. Why not put them in order when they are made? Anyway, I tried to use the option that allows me to sort bookmarks alphabetically but nothing happens. This used to work but not now. I am using 137.0.1 (aarch64)

I just rebooted my computer, and when I opened Firefox again an hour ago, all my extensions were gone (I've re-added those) but so are any bookmarks older than about a year. I'm logged in, and I don't have sync on. I'm not sure where to even start looking for them to get them back, but this is a huge pain.

OS: Xubuntu 24.04.2 Apache: 2.4.58 Firefox 137.0.1 and earlier

In general Firefox is working. However, after every update, both major as well as point releases, where Firefox updates and then restarts itself, it almost always starts up and displays the homepage (local page on my machine) but is completely unresponsive. It will not load a locale or a remote page. I can kill all running firefox processes and then manually restart the browser -- with the same behavior. I have discovered that if I wait for around 10 minutes or so, then the browser starts working and continues to work just fine until the next update. Once past this initial update wait, I can kill/restart the browser, reboot, etc. and Firefox is responsive. It is only immediately after the updates that this problem occurs. This has been going on for at least the past six months or so, but is new behavior that didn't exist prior to that. This isn't a show-stopper, but it is very frustrating.

Any suggestions.

I cannot get supporrt.mozilla.org pages into dark mode. My eyes are not good and I can barely read these pages. I have Dark Reader enabled, but I cannot find any way to enforce dark mode. Is it possiblle and, if so, how do I do it, please?
