Can I use om Mac 10.11.16
I want to setup firefox on a 64 bit laptop with a ubuntu linux distribution. Firefox is on the machine, I just need to know how to set it up. Thanks in advance.

Otherwise, I am never quite sure and likely to miss the final steps/requirements, etc. for example, hit the wrong button, misunderstood details, etc. I find the internet complicated and hence unclear with many aspects which can end up wasting half of my day (and yours) as I carefully read and note as best I can.

There are four (!) instances of Firefox now in Default Apps (Windows 11). From what I can glean from searching online, the fixes either involve messing with the Registry or uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox, but even these measures do NOT prevent the multiple instances from recurring with further updates. The Control Panel only shows one instance of Firefox.
What is the best approach to this problem? A "fix-it" tool would be most welcome.
