Hello!

I recently got a new computer with Windows 11 freshly installed. I downloaded Firefox, went to take a screenshot, and the usual shortcut of Ctrl + Shift + S does not work. I can right click and Take a Screenshot, and I can use other Ctrl + Shift shortcuts, like Ctrl + Shift + T to reopen closed tabs. The only one that doesn't work is screenshots. I can also put Screenshots in my top row Toolbar and use it, just not the keyboard shortcut.

I refreshed Firefox, uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, as well as checked the about:config extensions.screenshots.disabled preference. It has been set to false, so I have set it to true and false again hoping it would "reset" it but nothing. Thank you!

Desired behaviour: In Chrome, I can paste or type an email address into the address bar, hit enter, and it Chrome will "Google" that email address.

Firefox behaviour: In Firefox, if I paste or type the email adderss "happy@gmail.com" in the address bar, it takes ages to do anything then says "You are about to log in to the site “gmail.com” with the username “happy”, but the web site does not require authentication. This may be an attempt to trick you."

How do I stop it treating emails as a log in and simply search the email address? Thanks

I have used a custom html file as my homepage for years and while I can get Firefox to accept it as my homepage, I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it so when I open a new tab it goes straight to said custom page. I've tried multiple different add-ons for Firefox and none have worked, and I've checked multiple different support questions here and am still unable to figure this out.

I tried to log onto Youtube so I could make a few comments on a football game. They had to send me a code to my email (HOTMAIL) BTW I never received a code to LOG into YouTube. I used "Snip & Sketch" as I have many many times before but now I open a photo to edit it and Microsoft has taken over my photos. I mean as far as my editing capabilities. I've tried all the "OPEN WITH" options but can not get to the basic photo editor. Need some help here... Thanks in advance Steve

When logged in to the Shopify Website (admin page) using Firefox browser, attempt to click any link on the page automatically makes the page disappear and re-loops to my Login Page. I've worked with Shopify's Tech team and their investigation suggested...1st-remove cookies and cache on Firefox (did not work), 2nd-they tested their site and came back with no problems, everything works, 3rd-Try using Google Chrome browser to see if I would experience same problem of re-looping to my Login Page, everything works...no-re-looping to my Login Page and every link on the page works. On Shopify's Tech team recommendation as well as my desire to remain with Firefox browser, I need to get this problem of "page disappearing/re-looping to Login Page" on Shopify website fixed. I don't know how to do this. Login - 0b799d.myshopify.com I have reviewed some of the voluminus content on Mozilla Firefox's site and am totally confused with all the jargon/technical nomenclature. When i go to google.com and enter search query the tab "hangs" for about 10 seconds before the next page starts to load Same issue on 2 separate machines (1 intel laptop, 1 amd pc) both on newly installed windows 11 pro

what i've tried: safe mode, disabling hardware acceleration, disabling antivirus (kaspersky, without any browser plugins or safe browsing) , but the issue persists

As per subject. After i close FF - and it is no longer showing as an app in Task manager. When i try to restart it, it says it's still running and i have to ask it to close FF before it will open it again. AFAICS It happens randomly.

It may be relevant that when using CCleaner, it often (randomly) hangs when cleaning FF internet cache and says FF needs to be closed when it is already closed and does not appear in task manager. If i ask CCleaner to close FF, the application hangs.

Less likely perhaps to be relevant: i got a rogue change of Favicon on one site. I eventually deleted the relevant file hoping the Favicons would repopulate. Most have, but many haven't including hotmail and protonmail sites.

There seem to be many causes/solutions to FF hanging but i thought these specific circumstances might make it easier to suggest what the problem is exactly and how to fix it.

But Firefox keeps starting automatically when I restart my computer. Attached is an image of how the settings are now.

What should I do? This is a bit annoying. I don't use Firefox as my main browser but I work as a customer success manager for an online platform and always need to do some tests on Firefox, but I don't want it to start automatically when I turn on my computer.

I'll for instructions.

Firefox won't let me save new password because it "is not a common password." what does that mean? Aren't passwords supposed to be "not common?"

Embedded videos play on Safari but not Firefox. When I looked at the previous questions about this they were addressed in June 2012. Apparently it is happening again, at least in my case. Maybe it happened with the last upgrade, I don't know, but I never had this problem before. Would appreciate any input. I haven't changed any of my settings. Thanks.

I have used Firefox for a long time, and it is the browser I prefer. Unfortunately over the last 6 months I am increasing having problems opening up webpages I normally view on Firefox! When I switch over to Google Chrome (NOT my preference!) those same pages open with no problems! What's up with this?

I recently migrated to a macOS 13 laptop and now, when I watch video or listen to audio online, the space bar no longer consistently toggles play. That is, for some sites it does, and for some sites it doesn't, whereas before the migration, toggling worked on all sites. Is there a Firefox setting I can use to have space-bar toggling work on all sites again?

I accidentally saved a login with the user name blank and the password filled in. of course it does not appear on my saved password list. When I go the website and try to enter my user name on file with the password, Firefox rejects it.

How do I either delete the saved login or edit it to include the correct user name?

I don't use McAfee. I recently downloaded Adobe Reader and it appears it comes with. How do I get rid of these constant pop up messages that appear to come from "Mozilla Firefox"?

I noticed that in the last update, Firefox displays the list of login information options, in auto-fill mode, in alphabetical order and not according to the most appropriate address. For example, I get an authentication window for articles vpn.xyz. The first alternative I get is related to the address teach.abc (which does not fit at all) while the alternative for the address vpn.xyz appears in sixth place.
