I did open the developer console and tried to to find "preference=example" Could not find the option.

• Clear History - Site settings & Offline Website Data with firefox.cfg • Customize Firefox Toolbar with firefox.cfg (add Settings and Addons icon/shortcut) • On the Homepage if possible use a custom image instead of Firefox or otherwise remove it.

With Firefox 91.0 update, the DREADED double-spacing of bookmarks is back--despite the volumes of complaints when it occurred with previous update(s). At least then, the fix to toggle off the "proton.contextmenus" code worked (as shown below)** NOW IT DOES NOT. With 50 million once dedicated users abandoning FIREFOX, why is this happening? How do we fix it NOW? (and no, I have no intention of becoming a secondary programmer every two weeks to fix these upgrades--nor I think will many others) Firefox Support, where are you?

For testing purposes, the developers left a preference in Firefox 89 to switch between new style and old style menus:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste browser.proton.contextmenus.enabled and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the preference to switch between true (new style) and false (old style)

Updated to Firefox 91.0 (MacOS 10.13.6 High Sierra) ==> UI issues with fields showing no color, inappropriate color, window transparent/skeletal appearance where under-window is visible / inability to use selection buttons. Normally I could solve this by deselecting graphics acceleration but in 91.0 FFx this doesn't solve the problem. If FFx Team Members are reading: Please fix, thanks.

Using FF 91, I'm unable to remove autocomplete entries in the url field. I'm following the instructions from this page:

On a Windows 10 PC, I've tried using both the Delete key and the Shift+Delete but the entry I'm trying to get rid of keeps coming back. I also removed all cookies associated with this url.

Would greatly appreciate your help.

For 1 week, perhaps since August 17, 2021, all of my usernames, passwords and main password have frequently disappeared.

This morning I closed the browser and launched it again. I have, a priori, lost nothing.

I restarted the computer. Again, the usernames, passwords and master password were gone.

I didn't changed any settings before or after the last update.

Any solution ?

When i click on some link sent to me by Quora/reddit I get message "page is not redirecting properly" and the option to click on "try again". After clicking on try again it works no problem. Why is this hapening?? And the page it is trying to load is a HTTPS page.

A very brief blank window appears before the Firefox home screen finally comes up. Home screen is yahoo.com. This has started recently.

I have a PC with Windows Seven, and a local network 1Gb/s (wired, no Wifi) with a NAS. When Firefox is open, the speed of my local network slow down. It takes about 30 seconds to open a big picture on the NAS when Firefox is open, and 0.5 s when Firefox is closed. Same thing for video. I can't read a video when Firefox is open. With Chrome or other browser all is ok... Firefox version is 91.0.2 64 bits, but same issue with previous version.

I have made a new profile, a new install of Firefox, shut down my firewall and Antivirus, Opening Firefox in safe mode, repair Firefox, but no effect...

Any help will be extremely appreciated!

Firefox is frequently crashing after having tried most of the general troubleshooting steps and crash specific troubleshooting steps as well (but not every single one). Next one to try is updating Mac OS because I am one version behind. that being said, the update takes a long time and just wanted to see if anybody can quickly identify what may be the issue before upgrading Mac OS. It seems to mostly crash when clicking on a link or button.

Please note that from the very beginning when I started using Firefox close to a year ago, I had a specific bug that has never been solved (but it never caused crashes in the past). What happens is any type of pop-up menu does not open properly and the pop-up itself "crashes" when you try and open it (e.g. auto fill pop up when you focus an input, context menu pop up, drop-down menu for various Firefox actions in the toolbar, etc.), but it does eventually open with several attempts. Would greatly appreciate any help, thank you.

Ever since FF v89 when I go into FF Settings in either system none of the options I have selected display an 'X' in that option's checkbox. In previous versions when I clicked in an option's checkbox an 'X' would appear and disappear when clicked again.

No more.

I've tried changing the theme to Dark, Light, System . . . no change to this issue in either my Mac or pc: I cannot see an 'X' in any option's checkbox in FF Settings.

Please see attached screenshots. They are with "Dark" theme, but its the same no matter what theme I choose.

How to get my Settings choices to show that I have checked off this or that option?

I'm a web designer, trying to move away from Chrome because of privacy/security issues. I'm also 63 years old. My eyes are old. The text size on the tabs and bookmarks is very difficult to read. I don't want to increase the size of everything else - ***just the tab and bookmark text***. I've tried the fix seen elsewhere in the community for this question, but that doesn't change the size at all. If I increase the size, say by Zoom, that's a problem with my page layout. Can anyone help, please?

I'm on a Mac, but using an LG monitor, so no Retina display.

31-August 2021 . Hi all, recently the Australian government , “Bureau of Meteorology” weather and radar – website has stopped working under HTTPS and FireFox – it does work under Microsoft Edge though (Yuk). . Unfortunately even if under the FireFox internal settings - you disable the need for a HTTPS connection – the website still kicks you out anyway – and any direct call to the site (http://www.bom.gov.au) – will just kick you to an endless loop of no achievement – by basically constantly telling you “you cannot use HTTPS” and the HTTP link provided just loops you back to the same place. . For now – the only solution I have found is to leave “HTTPS” on – and create an exception for every single page (very zzzzz). . So for me , I am only excepting and viewing the local weather radar page and getting all other info from other sources. . Machine specs - Win10 Pro , Firefox Version 91.0.2 (64-bit) . I have also (via Edge) – reported this to the “BOM” in Australia, . I hope this helps someone , as I cannot be the only person in Australia trying to access this site – but having to sign up - to report the problem here, I did find more than a bit off putting.

I am going through a project now to update my email address in my hundreds of online profiles... all because I'm changing email service (from earthlink to a combo of icloud and mailfence) and am anal about updating my records/profiles. I'm also trying to clean up any multiple-account/multiple-username type situations I'm coming across. My Firefox account email address update is making some issues surface. Here's what's happened . . .

So far, on mozilla.org, I was able to change my alysenet@earthlink.net email address to alysenet@icloud.com wherever that field is in my profile. I can't recall what my USERNAME was for that case. I THINK, somewhere along the way, I also DELETED my "alysenet@earthlink.net" account on mozilla.org, though I wouldn't bet my life on it. All I know is:

1. I'm able to LOG IN aok to mozilla.org using alysenet@icloud.com and a password. Yay!

2. BUT . . . ANNOYING: I am seeing that when I get onto mozilla.org (such as on a Firefox Forum Support page) using alysenet@icloud.com and my password, the upper right part of the screen shows "alysenet1" not plain vanilla alysenet.

3. AND . . . ANNOYING...and what I'm trying to SOLVE is: When I go into my alysenet@icloud.com profile and try to CHANGE my username from alysenet1 to alysenet, I get a "username already taken" message.

I think MAYBE the "username already taken" is due to *MY* originally having an alysenet@earthlink.net account and maybe the system still considers it "active" even though I (am pretty sure) I *deleted* my Firefox alysenet@earthlink.net account on 07-26-2021.

Would the system say "username already taken" even if I was the one who had that username and deleted that account? Dunno if that's what's going on; I'm trying to understand what's going on.

BOTTOM LINE: Can you please:

(1) look into whether the "alysenet" as well as "alysenet1" were/are BOTH *ME* ??? Alyse Simon, in San Diego? If you need additional identification to make sure that "alysenet1" and not just alysenet, is Me, just let me know what you'd like to know.

(2) fix the system so I can change my username from alysenet1 to alysenet?

v91.0 dated 8-10, caused all Dark Mode add-ons to stop working, it stopped exactly when the update was installed. Also, dailog boxes do not accept entry... seems this update messed up a lot of funcionality Anyone see this?

I cannot log in to my Google account with Firefox. I get this message: You appear to have no security keys registered on your account, and won’t be able to sign in. To sign in on this device, ask your admin about registering a new security key or choosing another second step for verification.

I am the administrator of my account on Google Workspace. I have no idea what the problem is. I have MFA turned on and I am able to log in to Google with Chrome and Edge. I don't see an option on the Google Admin security tab to create a new security key. Please advise on a fix. Thanks

I am on arch linux with firefox version 91.0 and I recently left firefox (i think at version 89) tried out some other browsers for a while but came back to it and now it was version 91.0 and now I am noticing some lags/frame rate degrade at random times and I didn't found a relevant solution any where

I also tried h264ify as I read about the video codec youtube uses but that didn't fixed it and also tried a solution on the forum that said to disable H264 plugin and enable h264ify but that didn't worked as well

I truly hope the developers at least refer to this site for concern requests for fixes.

It seems every about:config fix for the spacing of the bookmarks as well as the photon/proton fixes are doing nothing on Firefox version 91.

Is there anyway to get a simple checkbox that fixes the views for desktop? The whole world is not working on tablets or phones and this is so frustrating to see functionality continually broken with updates that are obviously required because of security issues that plague the online world.

Can any developers please respond to when users can see a fix to this issue? I know this is far from life ending but it breaks the visual aspect of the browser so badly.
