After an update the new Firefox does not show the line above the browser Firefox, I used to have items like clear cookies or check if Firefox is up to date but such lines do not show in this past August 7, 2024 update, how do I bring them back

Firefox will not allow me to login to my mail a/c which I have had for more than 20 years. Because of this I cannot access a code to access my MS Outlook a/c This message shows:

'Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to webmail.mercuryin.es. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.' AND tells me that there is nothing I can do about this.

I lost power today and when I had it restored, had a message that the Firefox versions were incompatible (I think it got interrupted during an update. Anyway, no internet access through Firefox, so I deleted Firefox thinking I could reinstall and all might be good. So far, not so good...

I was able to Google my way to install the extended release version of Firefox for dinosaurs but I lost all of my bookmarks. Is there a way to get this back? I would hate to start over finding the places I visit and also recalling old spreadsheets, documents, etc....

Any help would be appreciated.

'When I try to sign in to Facebook on my laptop, it says that I am using the wrong password. But that password works for Facebook on my iPad and my iPhone. I'm wondering whether simply changing the password is a solution or whether this situation indicates something else is going on.

Ever since Facebook started infesting the chats with end-to-end encryption (random chats get "Messenger upgraded the security of this chat. Messages and calls are secured with end-to-end encryption" without my permission or asking if I want this), any encrypted chats have audio and video calls disabled. I note that I have ONE friend for whom it didn't do this, I can still do calls with her. If I receive a call, I get a pop-up saying that to receive this call I must download the Messenger app (no way) or a browser which supports it. If I check what browsers it thinks supports this, it only lists Chrome and Edge. As far as I know Edge is just Internet Explorer renamed, the biggest black hole in security, I've never touched it. Chrome ignores industry standards, so I don't use it. Making Firefox the best, top browser available. It's the only browser I wish to use. Mozilla needs to look into how to get Facebook to stop blacklisting Firefox like this. Note that this E2EE garbage has only been infecting things for the last few months, before that I was perfectly able to do any calls I wished in Facebook Messenger.

If watching any video in full screen, upon restoring Firefox back to "normal view" the entire program changes its position on my monitor. In regular mode (IE; not full screen) the position of the program on the screen - flush with my top and bottom panels - but NOT full screen is unaffected when closing and re-opening Firefox. The change in screen position is only when going from full screen view to non-full screen mode. OS: Ubuntu MATE 22.04.4 LTS 64 bit Firefox Ver: 115.14.0 ESR 64bit

Up until the latest Firefox Nightly release, I could click on the '+' to open a new tab and immediately start typing the URL. Now, however, I am required to select a container type, something that is useless to me. Is there a way to disable this?

UPDATE: Never mind, I found the setting for Enable Container Tabs, which needs to be deselected. Why is this an opt-out?

i run Firefox Version 115.14.0esr (64-bit) on my older MacBook with OS 10.12.6, which I must use only to run Quicken for Mac 16.2.4. My other MacBook runs OS 14.6 and I would like to update Firefox on that machine, but keep all of the existing Firefox info. Can I update Firefox on the new Macbook and still keep the ESR version on the older machine, without losing all my history?y?

On FireFox v115, on Mac system High Sierra, 10.13.6. Autoplay setting will not let me remove this 'about:welcome^privateBrowsingld=1' or this 'about:welcome' no matter how many times I try. The version on my Mac laptop,129, does not have this or anything. What is this?

Secure connection cannot be established

When a website that requires a secure (HTTPS) connection tries to secure communication with your computer, Firefox cross-checks this attempt to make sure that the website certificate and the connection method are actually secure. If Firefox cannot establish a secure connection, it will display a Secure Connection Failed or Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue error page. Secure Connection Failed

A Secure Connection Failed error page will include a description of the error and a Try Again button. There is no option to add a security exception to bypass this type of error.
