The firefox container tabs no longer have the container name just the color. I've looked at the setting, but nothing is there. Hovering over tab does not help. It used to work up until a few months ago.

This is difficult when different containers only show color and not what type they are ex. Personal, Banking...etc

Not sure if Browse is the correct category but it seems to be close so hopefully can get some much needed input.

The bookmarks manager and history manager are horrible and wanted to know if there was a replacement option for either or both.

I dont need online sync but would like something for example that would test bookmarks to see if they were still accessible or something that automatically arranges bookmarks and folders alphabetically, or a way to edit bookmarks that isnt painfully cluttered.

As for history manager something that when you open an item you arent taken away from the date/time where you found a link and taken back to the top of the history page at the current date and time.

If you have tried to use either for intense searches of previously visited sites when the browser crashed and didnt ask if you wanted to restore a previous session or tried to get a handle on an unruly amount of bookmarks you know what I am talking about.

Any hints or suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

I am in the pharmaceutical industry and using ectd program, which is producing an xml backbone (directories) containing pharmaceutical information (pdfs). Only internet explorer can show this. Chrome has recently lost this ability. Firefox shows only some headings, like reading the index.xml only and not detecting the other directories. Is there an option/addon so I can view the contents correctly? I cannot attach the export of the ectd program (index.html & backbone/directories) so you can see to what I refer to, only the pics.

Google search quit working a couple of weeks ago-. When I try it nothing happens. Bing search works ok. Google search is ver 132.0. Win 11 ver 23H2. Firefox ver 132.0

Every time I try to go onto any site, I'm asked to solve a puzzle by sliding the missing piece onto it's spot. Every time I'm blocked from these sites.

What can I do to fix this?

Good day, Last update of Firefox "131.0.2", I faced an issue mentioned in the attached below. Lines of text or numbers are overlayed over each other. I downgraded to Firefox "128.3.1esr" and the problem is resolved. Now I'm staying on the older version till the issue is resolved. Hello, I keep deleting Google search as I want to use DuckDuckGo my main web search browser. There is a nuisance as Google search keeps coming back even if I deleted Google from my Search engines.

Please help with a definitive solution otherwise I should move to another browser. Cheers.

When I browse now using Firefox, I seem to be coming up with results out of Canada, not the U.S., where I reside. This has only been happening recently. How do I fix this?

That's pretty much it. Not entire web pages but a few words up to an entire line of text rendered in such a way as to be illegible. Most frequently, it looks like letters are superimposed with other letters. But also letters can be missing (e.g. baby becomes bab) or even occasionally rendered as what look like superscripts. Oddly, if I move the cursor over the bad text, it changes to what it should be. Or sometimes I have to select the text. Very rarely, nothing fixes it. This started with a system crash recently that required rebuilding a substantial chuck of hardware and a clean reinstall of Windows. A few days ago, I also did a clean reinstall of Firefox but the problem persists.

since a few mins ago, 30/11/2024 12 Am IST i have observed that MSN webpage specifically : https://www.msn.com/en-in?ocid=wispr&pc=u477 auto opens every few mins, i have no idea why, can anyone help me?

I beleive in the recent versions of Firefox, shortcut keys have been added/changed such that holding the Option key while in the URL Search bar activates other functions (Switching search engines: Option + Up/Down Arrow) and completely disables my ability to move left or right through the URL by word.

Is there any way I can disable this shortcut key combination?

cannot load X, this is not an everytime occurance, super random. Perhaps half of my attempts to load the page it is interupted by an error.

You Tube will not go full screen. I've tried reinstalling, clearing cache, refreshing page, pressing F11. Nothing works. It will go full screen in a private browser, but not in a normal one.

My Firefox started crashing a lot recently. Dozens of tab crashes within the span of just a minute or two are not uncommon. Sometimes, the entire browser itself crashes. Usually, the reason given is a vague EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_WRITE or EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ. I should note that in my case, the crashes affect most of the browsers I use, but they do not crash nearly as often as firefox does.

I've tried using it without any extensions (clean install), and with hardware acceleration disabled. I've run a RAM test also, which showed no issues. Disk check also indicated no issues. I installed windows 10 and even windows 11 on the secondary hard disk, but the issue persisted. I've also tried forcing my discrete/integrated GPU to be used solely as the display adapter, but the crashes still persisted.

When using firefox on ubuntu, the crashes do not happen, strangely. There was only one instance that I noticed the crashes on ubuntu, and that was when I set my discrete graphics card as the exclusive display adapter, from the BIOS settings.

Anyway, nothing really sticks out as the root cause. I cannot open subsidiary pages in my CIBC account after spending ten minutes to get into the account page because there are so many levels of protection. Once I am in I should be able to go from page to page easily.

Hi, I'm using Amd 7900X3d cpu without graphic card. İf I use without graphic card, firefox render like belowed image with corruption. İf I use dicrete nvidia graphic card firefox working correctly. Edge running working well in both cases.

I'm using amd 7600 cpu other pc everything working very well in without graphic card.
