Wenn ich mich auf meinem Linux Rechner im Firefox anmelden möchte um alle meine Lesezeichen und Passwörter zu importieren bekomme ich die E-Mail mit dem Bestätigungscode viel zu spät! Es dauert ca. 20 bis 30 Minuten. Woran liegt das?

TWO STEP VERIFICATION AUTOMATICALLY FORCED ON ONE OF MY COMPUTERS

AND FIREFOX DOES NOT "REMEMBER" WHEN SIGNED IN EVEN THOUGH CHECKED AT SIGNIN

WHEN I VIEW MY SETTINGS,,,,TWO STEP COMES BACK AS DISABLED.....BUT THATS INACCURATE ?? HOW CAN I DISABLE THE FORCED TWOSTEM FEATURE ON THIS SINGLE COMPUTER ??

Mozilla will not let me sign into my Amazon account without using a passkey. I have never established a passkey and I do not wish to use my phone to sign in and without using one of those two options, my computer is completely locked and I have to shut it down and reboot or sign out of Microsoft in order to regain service. I have deleted Firefox from my phone...I have deleted the Amazon app from my phone, and I unsynched everything before I did so. I have errased all of my cookies and cleared the cash. I use an Apple phone which is equipped with an excellent browser, and unless I can find some work around for this I am going to delete Firefox from my PC as well.

Several years ago I created an account for Firefox Sync. Meanwhile I changed my mail address, the old one, with which I registered, has been deleted as I just realized. So I can no longer access the code to login on new devices. What am I supposed to do now?

This is rather annoying. Firefox will disconnect/logout my account rather frequently. But the actual issue is... when I go to log back into the account. The login process will send me an e-mail with a code.

And I have 2FA disabled, but I still have to go through the 2FA process.

How do I effectively TURN THIS OFF.

(I do not store passwords in Firefox...I only store a few convenient shortcuts in the bookmark bar)

I use this feature so I have the same shortcuts in my bookmarks bar across multiple computers.

Firefox 143.0.4 (64-bit) on fully patched Windows 11 has an issue with FIDO2 keys, specifically YubiKeys. The keys will register, but then a window will pop up and ask if we allow that access. I allow the access, the key gets registered, but then when I attempt to use the key, it fails. If I try it in a different browser, the key works fine. Hope the devs see this.

The Government has to keep changing. "for our Security". We have accounts with the Veterans Affairs medical stuff for our medical stuff. NOW we had to move to Login.Gov or another website. It was horrible, but I FINALLY got the Olde Marine & Myself 2 Different accounts (i.e. 2 different email addresses) in Login.gov. VA has continued making changes & since Friday I can not get into "My Healthy Vet

i.e. I go through the steps & when I type in the e-dress & password MY PHONE SHOULD RING with a numeric code.  Once I type in the Numeric Code, I can continue to scramble around trying to access our pharmacy or our 'care team' in the VA system.

I watch the screen, nothing happens. I wait for the phone call nothing happens. I look in my email box & there is a message from Login.Gov that a code was sent to me. NOPE.

I have no idea why. as a cat like nosy person, I am always needing to know why. What is wrong? Is it the government & if so forget it as they most likely won't answer the phone. Is it Charter Spectrum? Is it Mozilla Firefox? (whine) I am beyond my paygrade here. Please someone who can talk to olde Phartes... MAYBE this could be SPECTRUM/Charter??? They are a royal pain in the tush. sending mail to spam that is not & ignoring that I tell them it is real; changing font sizes when I am typing; & other crummy stuff.

After the last Firefox update, I am not able to sign in to Hotmail (or possibly Microsoft account in general). Firefox is asking for "Face, fingerprint, PIN or security key" - but it has never asked to create any of these. Apparently, it is impossible to sign in with a password. And this request seems to originate from Firefox, not from Microsoft - and I am able to sign in to Hotmail with other browsers. How can I disable this, so I can use Hotmail in Firefox?

I enabled two-step authentication on my Firefox Account by clicking on "Add". Everything went OK. (It was the first time I enabled it. I've been negligent.) The "name" (email) on the token generated by my 2FA App was the primary email of my Firefox Account.

Then I clicked on "Change", and followed through the same steps as when 2FA was "Added". Now, the "name" on the generated token was neither the primary or the secondary email of my Firefox Account ! The name on the token was the email I used as the primary email of my Firefox account back in 2020 ! Despite the wrong name (email), the 2FA code worked fine for signing in. How and why does this happen? What is the intended purpose of the "Change" option?

I fixed the name on the token by Disabling then Adding 2FA again.

A Curiosity?: When I try to sign into Firefox account, 2 emails are offered by Firefox - the current primary email for the account, and the previous primary email for the account. The second email IS in Logins, but not for accounts.firefox.com. The 2nd email is rejected if it is tried to be used. Where is Firefox getting the previous account email from?

Hi Helpful People. I scanned the QR code to continue the two part authentication of my account. When I opened it all I received was an inappropriate ad. When I tried again I went to someone trying to scam me about security. I am using this forum to tell someone this happened. Thank you.

Mozilla has asked me to 'approve a sign-on'. They've sent me an Authorisation Code but I don't know how to approve the sign-on. What do I need to do, please.

I erased my iPhone and reinstalled Duo afterwards. There is no problem with the notices Columbia U sends to my iPhone to complete a Columbia sign in. But Firefox rejects the codes Duo generates for Firefox sign in on university-owned computers. There was no problem before I cleaned my phone and reinstalled Duo.

Hi, I am failing to access two of my yahoo mail accounts.

I am using Fire fox as my browser and Yahoo as my home page.

I have one other yahoo account which doesn't use two step signing in (where they send a code to my Android phone). This I can access.

I see there are a lot of people on the Internet suffering the same thing. What is the answer; if there is any.

I have tried most of the suggestions. I can't email them (can't find their address) or phone them (number don't work).

There are premium numbers. Is this the way it is going? If it is; if I can get my emails back, I think I will leave them.

No point emailing me. I can't get in.

Good morning I got problems with my account because I sold my old phone and forgot change Authentication but I have access to Email can you can help me restore access to my account?

Hi I have my recovery key under the email and wish to reactivate the account. I can’t receive the two factor authentication email to be able to get to the place where I input the key. Thank.

The best would be to recover additional backup codes but the address [ https://g.co/2sv doesn't do the job.

I cannot log in to iCloud.com, even after setting a popup block exception. When I click on the "go" arrow after entering password, I get a notice on my iPhone to allow access. After I approve, I get a 6-digit verification code on the iPhone. But no popup window appears on the Firefox tab, so I can enter the code. Any suggestions?
