Hello I no longer see any of my browser search history. It is completely blank. I can only see "recently opened tabs." How do I get my "history" back? Thank you very much.

I need to be able to delete the history on Firefox. I have reinstalled, tried all settings, etc. The delete key does not work anymore. I will be discarding this PC. I have a new WIndows 11 machine. Thank you.

Despite following the instructions ,I am unable to clear my browsing history. Every time I click on to "clear history," nothing happens. I am afraid to re-install the browser because my wife also has an account on the same PC and I do not want to delete here bookmarks etc.

Since last update (early mid Dec) browser history is not been deleted properly on clicking delete history. Recently opened tabs remain in history even after 3 to 5 requests to delete. The problem is the same on opening private purple tabs. Transfers history to normal tab history. Phone Samsung S21 Regards Rich

I need to permanently save my browsing history, but I haven't found such a function in Firefox. Firefox regularly deletes my browsing history, which I really dislike. I need it to accurately and precisely save my browsing history without any omissions. I need a solution to this problem.

Ive had Firefox for many years, and am pretty ok versed in it's options and tools. Since a couple weeks my history is completely gone. It also won't record anything new. Im not in safe mode, not incognito mode, all the settings appear correct, yet still, won't record anything. Please help

I have followed the instructions on the Mozilla website but am unable to delete my browsing history. I recently had a power outage and had to have my pc data reinstalled by a computer specialist. would reinstalling Firefox sort my problem?

I can't delete history. I know how to do it (ie menu, click "clear recent history" etc etc) but it just doesn't do it. I've uninstalled Firefox and taken the option to "refresh" instead of reinstall. Didn't work. Uninstalled it again. In the reinstallation I asked that it NOT import my settings etc but it did it anyway. Back came Firefox, complete with my history! I just can't get a fresh start. With regret, I'm starting to use a different browser. I dislike doing that but at present I have no choice. Whenever I use Firefox, I just clutter up the place and can't get rid of history.

After a re-start, my Firefox browser on a Dell laptop lost all history and has since also not been collecting websites visited. When opening a new tab, the shortcuts and recently visited websites are also gone and no longer being collected. My CCleaner recently updated itself to a new version but I unchecked the delete history for Firefox (which treacherously is clicked by default - I fell into that trap before). Happy to blame the new CCleaner but that would not explain why history is not being collected now - to me the fault seems to lie with Firefox instead. Another possibility that went through my mind: Is Microsoft sabotaging users of Windows 11 to force them to buy new? PS: Under "Privacy", "History", the setting is "Firefox will remember history", as it always has been and should be. But it has forgotten all previous history and it is no longer collecting any new history either!

'Browsing history: which one do I use and how can I browse TOTALLY private? I want the instructions of hot to do that if you have a way to do that.. thanks for your time

My history of sites visited is too big and when I try start firefox it loads 20 pages or more onto my computer screen and then stalls how do I stop this

I use ccleaner to run regular cleans on my computer. Noticed after running it today that my history wasn't deleted. I tried manual delete to see if it was a ccleaner but and still no deletion. I turned of history sync in my profile, also checked that permanent incognito mode is not turned on.

Last resort I uninstalled and re-installed (twice, once using REVO) yet all of my history is still there.

Any thoughts?

My browser, OS and drivers are fully updated.
