Hi, I've noticed that web pages load slower recently. As all of the recent updates seem to be about adding AI features to the browser, I can only assume that this is the problem. I have disabled the .ml. settings and saw an improvement in performance, but performance is still degrading over time as new updates release, so I'm guessing that I missed something in the settings.

I'm also concerned about privacy. As these AI features make use of tools that cannot always be run completely locally, it increases vulnerability to provide very little value, if any at all. I would argue that it makes the browser worse rather than better, so that's not worth any level of risk to me.

If these features continue to be expanded then I will look for an alternative browser. I know that it is tough to find browsers which aren't Chromium-based these days, but it's not impossible. Firefox is not the only choice.

I have tried several online suggestions to speed up page load on my Firefox browser. None have improved my situation. I can start a web page load on Firefox while simultaneously working from another browser. The other browsers load and I am able to complete my business before Firefox even loads. I am quite frustrated by this as I have used Firefox for as long as I can remember.

I refreshed the browser, I switched off all of the extensions; makes no difference. If I switch adblock plus back on, it doesn't block ads. Everything is super slow. It takes forever for some pages to load. I had no problems before the most recent update.

Trying to browse ebay using Firefox. The pages have become really slow when loading.When scrolling down the page is blank then slowly populates as I scroll down the page. I've just tried microsoft edge and there is no problem.

I find that my desktop browser firefox is very slow or doesn't work at all on a lot of websites like amazon or fortnine.

My old PC and my mobile phone runs these website fine.

Sometimes the website will work for a moment, but stop and just load for ever after I open a new tab or clink a link. My task manager doesn't show any ethernet usage despite the tabs indicating they are trying to load. Refreshing the tabs does nothing and no matter how long I leave them they don't load. All my drivers, OS and programs are up to date. I have disabled my enhanced tracking protection and I don't have any adblockers. I have tried using the CMD "ipconfig -renew" and using ccleaner to clear out my cookies and cache but, nothing seems to have any lasting effect.

I am losing my mind trying to fix this. Why can I not browse the internet on my PC?

Any help on this would be amazing and much appreciated.

When I open any stream, it takes about 2.5 seconds from the start of the page loading to the appearance of the stream image and playback. For comparison, in version 137 it took about 1.0 seconds.

I know Firefox is slow when opening Facebook. It's busy blocking all their crap. But recently it's been super slow and non-connective to many sites I visit often. Firefox (152.0.4, 64-Bit) security settings – whether intended or not – are blocking work on the Internet. Hi hi, I just did a complete reset to factory settings of my laptop (MSI), and a wipe of my hard drives too. After reinstalling Firefox (literally the first thing I did after setting up windows), it runs more slowly than before the reset (even for a basic search on Google/Duckduckgo). I am also unable to load any pages under the domain discussions.unity.com : the page loads forever, it's impossible to click on anything (even the hovering styles don't work), and I get a banner at the top of the screen that says "This page is slowing down Firefox. To speed up your browser, stop this page.". Also the memory usage for this page skyrockets (gone up to 4000MB??). I've disabled the 2 extensions I have (Dark Reader and Adblock Plus), restarted Firefox, restarted the computer, cleared the cache, even turned off the mozilla syncing, nothing worked. Any idea on what could be happening here? It's the first time in using Firefox for over 15 years that I've seen this happened.

Hello! After a clean install of Windows 11 24h2 Pro, Mozilla Firefox is unusable. It takes about 2 minutes to load a page which is abnormal. I remember I had the same issue when I first installed Windows 11 23H2 Pro and that was resolved somehow but it was 2 or 3 years ago and I've no idea what the solution was back then. I've tried some basic stuff including Test suggestion which of course didn't resolve anything as almost all of them are referring to cleaning cache, reinstall Firefox etc and it literally has nothing to do with my situation. Any solutions?

Duck duck search via Firefox has become painfully slow, although if Google search is used the speed is OK. I have cleared caches, cookies etc without any improvement. Firefox 148.0.2, Windows10. Is this a recognised current problem?
