I want to re-install Firefox after having re-installed Windows 11. But the installation keeps freezing or I get a message that it's already installed and just needs to be refreshed, which doesn't work either. I tried removing the Mozilla program files from File Explorer but that froze at 99% complete, although the files did show in the Recycle Bin. I definitely need help.

They come in as Unconfirmed ######.crdownload I've tried the link on the Mozilla site and the link in the Microsoft store. I'm using Chrome as a browser & want to change.

This was a WIN 10 but has been professionally upgraded to 11 two times with last just a week ago. I have run Firefox as chose browser for years. Now they keep bumping me off & back on Google. Have tried to ID Firefox as chosen but they don't seem to hear. Even with Firefox symbol on my screen, now I click on it and Google comes up.

 Have tried downloading again without success.  Ff will not show up in a Program search.

What to do?????

Then winget shows the installation was successful, but the shortcuts in the Start menu and on the desktop point to a path that doesn't exist. I noticed that this path is the one I passed to winget via the -l parameter, but it is missing the slash (`/`) > D:/a/b/Mozilla/Firefox/ → D:\abMozillaFirefox\ I couldn't find the installed Firefox either in the root directory of drive D or under the originally expected path D:\...\Mozilla\Firefox.

Although I passed the -i parameter (specifying interactive installation) to winget, I didn't see the installer window. In the user registry, the installer also wrote the aforementioned incorrect path, and I cannot uninstall this installation through Windows Settings.

I wrote a script myself to search for folders or files with 'firefox' in the name (case-insensitive) on my system's C and D drives, and I only found this folder that looks related: ```pwsh > ls "C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox"

I want to know what the installer does after running the above installation, and how I can undo these changes to reinstall Firefox?

I just got a new desktop and I don't like Edge that comes with windows 11. Downloaded Firefox and tried to sign in to Firefox. Had to change my password and the download seems to have gone away. Do I need to download it again? I want to make Firefox my default browser.

my firefox keeps getting completely deleted from my system after repeatedly reinstalling and having it get delited from my windows 11 system i installed with administrator permission and the installation lasted for two days now this morning after working for about an hour it crashed twice on the third attempt to open it i found that it had been deleted what do reckon i do

I would like to install firefox pc on a windows 11 laptop that already has firefox windows loaded on it, I can not get it to run. I think the installer exe has run and then get a message about windows and try again or ask for support help.

As my title says i cant move Firefox from desktop because it is *the* browser file not a shortcut, and every time i try to move it to any different folder it just creates a shortcut in said folder. I asked Copilot how to reinstall it, set it in actual search mode so i could have 100% reliable steps, nothing worked! >:ε

so im asking yall if there is a way to fix it, thanks in advance

The latest version of Firefox (installed today) just crashes when trying to open any tab and will not reload anything. How can I reload the last working version? Kind regards Stephen.
