I'm running both versions of firefox on my mac by renaming the .app for nightly. However, when I click on a link on an application, it seems to default to my nightly version instead of release.

For both versions, the "default browser" setting is enabled. One thing I tried was letting chrome take the default again, and setting it from the release version after. Both versions then showed it checked again. I cannot uncheck it from the beta version.

It seems they might be reporting to the OS as the same app for this purpose.

Another thing I tried was changing the app name in it's Info.plist. Now, I see a new name in the menu bar and it shows as a distinct browser in the OS' "default browser" settings. However, it doesn't seem to solve my issue. All links still open in the Beta, even if the only one currently open is Release.

Is there a way to have it default to the normal version of firefox?

Hi there, Can anyone help me please. Ive been using Firefox forever and yesterday I signed into a Gmail account to send an email to someone, I typed in who it was to, then subject and then when I went to type into the body of text, the keyboard wont work.

I thought there was an issue with the keyboard but I then I tried to type in issues on firfox and loads of text is missing, I basically cant use firefox at the moment as Im only viewing half the info.

Ive been sent a credit not from someone and this is what its viewing like.

I didnt change anything that Im aware of

I am unable to connect to my printer over my local wifi using the IP address when using Firefox (126.0) on MacOS. On Linux (Firefox 125.0.3, for Ubuntu), the procedure is simply to type the IP address into the search bar, and press enter, and it works. On MacOs, no way to get to that website, I only get a Google search (I also tried adding http:// or https://, or tried creating a Bookmark and modifying the address there, it simply refuses to update if I just have http://xxx.xxx.x.xxx as the address)...

Any chance there might be a way for me to connect to that IP-only website?

I just updated Firefox & added recommended things. I went to "https://www.cranecu.org/" As soon as I hit the LogIn button I got an "Error 404" message. However, I called the office help & they suggested I try another browser. I switched to Safari the button works just fine. Any Suggestions? I am not the sharpest tack in the box when it comes to computers so please be simple. Thank You

I have attached a screenshot of this error which keeps appearing when Firefox is running. It is pointing to a contamination in Firefox itself, not a particular website, though the latest Firefox also will not load X.com even with Tracking Protection turned off for the site. I ran a scan and found nothing. I also cleared browsing objects from Firefox, and I still get this popup threat warning. It appears to be triggered by something in Firefox code. It says it is from https://services.disconnect.me/disconnect-plaintext.json from the process /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox. This began when I updated Firefox to 126.0 (64-bit) on MacOS Sonoma 14.5.

'I added http websites as exceptions to the https security feature but Firefox won't let me get in them. One is my health care portal. I've tried everything and re-done the process several times, but I have to go to a different browser to get in. What do I do? Thank you.

No matter how I try, I can't get Firefox to save any of my passwords om my brand-new Mac computer. Nor can I reset my primary password, as I was told this might help. It didn't; I couldn't reset or change. Indeed, I don't even remember ever having chosen a primary password. I've been through all sorts instructions, but get stuck being informed that my efforts have been unsuccessful. Would be most grateful for any help. (I never had these sort of problems with my 12 year old Mac.) Bosse, Stockholm

I recently deleted pwnedpasswords.com from my cookies, as well as blocked this website; however, it keeps reappearing in my list of cookies.

I've never even visited this site (that I'm aware of), and it's a bit concerning to me.

In spite of clearing ALL my cookies (and blocking this website), it keeps appearing in my list!

Please advise :)

This is my Mac Monterey. My Windows 10 is in Safe Mode With Networking. The last update will not download. That version is 125.0.3. What's available under Windows updates does not download either. Now I am running my antivirus on my Windows to see if it runs clean. I do not know why I cannot apply these updates.

I've used Weebly for website building for many years. After the latest Firefox upgrade, the Weebly editor display labels are overwritten with other text, as in the attached images. I've checked on Chrome, Safari and Vivaldi browsers, none of which have the same problem. Opening in safe mode has the same effect.

I am trying to remove a profile from Firefox and this message is above the profile I want to delete.

This profile is in use in another application and it cannot be deleted.

I have searched the Mozilla support site and can't figure out what application is using that profile.

I'm using: Macbook Pro Mac OS Sonoma 14.0 Firefox v 126.0 (64-bit)

Whenever I use the picture in picture feature, it always opens up in a bigger tab instead of the floating PiP. I am unable to adjust the sizing whatsoever. Is there a way to get around that?

This current version of Firefox (126.0) is preventing Yahoo! Comments from showing/displaying in ANY Yahoo! article. After I finished reading a Yahoo! article, the Yahoo! Comments is viewed but upon clicking on Comments, it just disappeared. It happens in any Yahoo! article with Comments. I used Safari to see if I experience similar issue but Safari is able to show/display Yahoo! Comments upon clicking on them. I have no other browser plug-in or app in Firefox preventing Yahoo! Comments from showing, it seems to be a Firefox JavaScript issue.

If I Close (not Exit) FF and then later Open it, the new Open page is a different size and screen location than when it was last closed (I have to then reposition the page manually).

Is there a ABOUT:CONFIG setting I can can change to stop this?

I have pictures that are slanted. Chrome, and Safari don't do this, so I know it is something with Firefox. Every once and awhile Firefox also has little square dots that appear s’ for ‘Firefox’

After updating firefox to latest version 126.0 (64-bit). Responsive design mode is showing zoomed in content and not behaving the way it used to do in previous version. Please check

The menu bar at the top of Firefox is extremely small. The size is about 1 mm. I have tried all the supposed fixes and none of them work. I have a new Macbook pro using Firefox.
