I did an hardreset to my computer yesterday, today I logged in to my FireFox account and now all of my stuff (History, Passwords, Bookmarks) are from 2020. I don't have any backup, what do I do?

I have been having problems with Firefox on my Desktop-PC for about a week now: I am almost always shown another tab with an error message (an new tab with allways the same content) in addition to the website that is regularly called up and also works:

Tab-Headline: Seiten-Ladefehler Fehler: Verbindung fehlgeschlagen

Beim Verbinden mit 0.0.0.1 trat ein Fehler auf.

   Die Website könnte vorübergehend nicht erreichbar sein, versuchen Sie es bitte später nochmals.

It doesn't matter which regular website I call up - it also happens when I call up the Mozilla Firefox page.

It is as if my website call is executed twice: once normally and everything is displayed correctly. And once as an extra tab with an alleged page loading error where the connection has failed.

How can I prevent these additional tabs with the error message from constantly popping up and being displayed? I have not made any other settings and Firefox has always worked perfectly so far. It doesn't happen with Google Chrome, for example - so it's not my PC.

Can you help me?

Camera and microphone are blocked. Sessions by Psychology Today requires access to your camera and microphone. Click the camera blocked icon Camera and microphone are blocked. in your browser's address bar and refresh your browser.

Please add support for progressive web apps to firefox, it is the only reason why I have stopped using firefox in preference of chrome. Without this feature, we can't use websites in split screen without the search bar area eating into the web page.

the darn boxes that pop in on the right bottom of the screen are driving me crazy. I will be switching browsers if there is no way to turn them off. (My popup blocker is enabled). Help!

I want the Firefox suggestions to show up when I click on the address bar. Currently, it shows up only when I type a letter. I am unable to find the settings for it. I know it's a silly query, but would still appreciate it if it could be answered.

I can't seem to be able do disable search suggestions, or at least make them appear after my bookmarks and browsing history, i.e. I used to be able to type "gm" and the first option would be my Gmail, not a google search for those letters.

If "provide search suggestions" is on, the box to show them "ahead of browsing history in address bar results" is greyed out and can't be toggled; if it is off, then the sub-option turns on.

This makes the autocompletion feature basically useless.

Is there some other way to change this? I've tried restarting the browser after a settings change, with no luck.

I'm a software developer working on some web application and sometimes need to manually add URL components in the address bar of an open tab simpyl to test something. For example I have some tab open shwoing the web page under "http://localhost:8080/entry" and I need to test "http://localhost:8080/entry/foobar" by manually adding "/foobar" to the URL. Depending on if "/foobar" exists or not, either some web page is shown or inc ase of a HTTP status code 404 Firefox automatically opens a new tab and forwards my input as search to Google.

That is not what I want. I want Firefox to simply show the HTTP status code 404 like the other browsers I use. Though, I want to be able to search in the address bar in general, only not in case there's an existing working URL open already and I change the child path only.

Is there some way to disable the behaviour of Firefox for 404s or do I need to completely disable searches in the address bar instead?

Good Evening, My company requested a factory restart and I compiled. I am working to restoring my old firefox bookmarks and preferably history/settings. Is there a way to find and restore this data? I am using the same firefox account as before the reset. Thank you.

Also, what are the best practices for backing up my data in the future to easily restore or transfer my settings and bookmarks in the future?

hi, well I deleted and distrusted a certificate. now I'm trying to import the same certificate but it doesn't work. when i add the certificate i does not show anything on the certs list.

I would like you to stop displaying notifications of incoming emails while I'm reading my other emails. These notifications block what I'm trying to read and they are irritating and annoying.

I want set my new tab page to open a local file. The same local file is also used for my home page. Until recently, I used the new tab extension to do this, however that stopped working.

There are many existing posts out there regarding this, so it seems it is a desired feature. However, none of the posts are applicable to the latest configuration 119.0 (October 2023).

Is there a way to force the new tab to open a local file? Or open the home page (which is also a local file)?

I am using Firefox for my emails and I can't now see some of the Unread Messages on my screen. My Firefox version seems to have changed and before it had a folder of Unread Messages and it still does but when I click on that word, it does not show the Unread Messages.. Good evening, I have a problem with the display of bold text on the Wordpress site editor.

I have already contacted the Wordpress experts and we have noticed that the problem does not exist with other browsers and does not depend on the brand of the PC, given that we have tried with different PCs and with different operating systems (Mac and Windows).

The problem really comes from the browser.

How can I solve it?
