I downloaded firefox 13 about a week ago and when I open a new tab the boxes that are supposed to display your most visited webpages don't work, if you go to your bookmark that says "Most Visited" that displays my most visited webpages fine but none of the pages show up on my new tab page. Also if I click and drag one of the websites into the boxes the website name appears but it never loads any picture for the website. If I don't click and drag the website to one of the boxes then the box is empty....there is no website, nothing. But I've gone to plenty of sites plenty amount of times and it is not showing up http://i.imgur.com/TWmAU.png --- Here's a image of what I see (to clear up any confusion)

We have one application where we have java applet program to select and upload file form the desktop to the server. While pressing first time "SELECT FILES" button, it works fine, but for the second time it crashes. I tried finding issue with my code but it is working fine on all other browser. The moment I press select files second time, the waiting wheel keeps on rotating till my application crashes.

Hi there The most recent update for #Firefox has a "bug fix" (1565315) for which the access to details are denied. That's peculiar for an open source project. The bug is about Russian users having their default search engine changed. Is this just a geolock? VPN didn't work. I like to be able to view the details of any update I'm installing, for obvious privacy reasons. When will these details be made available so I can update? Thanks.

Can anyone point me to the firefox version 28 exe file fore windows?
I can find this link " https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/ " but it lists a number for version 28s (28.0, .0b1/2/3.../9) and the sub-directories there are a mess of stuff that I have no idea where to go and what to get.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. I updated to 29 and the GUI change is too much for me, so I installed a really old version of ff and am looking to update back to 28 until I feel like I want to adjust to 29.

In the description of the new web push notifications it says "Firefox maintains an active connection to a push service in order to receive push messages as long as it is open. The connection ends when Firefox is closed. On our server we store a randomized identifier for your browser"
I understand that I can keep Notifications disabled (which is the default), to never actually receive notifications, however, by the above wording (found at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/push-notifications-firefox?as=u&utm_source=inproduct#w_upgraded-notifications ) I assume that even if I don't enable Notifications, that even though the web push stuff is opt-in per website, even if I never opt in, Firefox will still be phoning home the entire time I'm running it. So it will have a log of every time I start FF, how long I had it on, and when I exited. (Granted it's randomized or whatever, but the concern still stands.)
I don't want that... Is there a way to disable this always-on connection?

Hi, I get the infamous SEC_ERROR_UNKNWON_ISSUER error on mail.google.com, support.mozilla.org and others but the weird thing is that certificates look legit. In fact any employee of my company is having it since months and across various versions.
I have checked the antivirus but it does not look like it's the cause. I'm currently running Firefox 61.0.1 on Windows 10 17134. The only special thing in that network is that there is a proxy cache but it does not do any nasty thing on https, and the weird thing is that Firefox on Linux doesn't get the error. On Windows I also tried to not configure proxy in Firefox and using system's one but it fixes nothing. I also tried to delete the SiteSecurityServiceState.txt file but it fixes nothing.
Basically, users can browse the web correctly, then around 18:00 or 19:00 on UTC+2 (but perhaps it's just about a specific amount of time after they started Firefox hours ago in the morning) large https websites (gmail and others) stop to work. For some unknown reason our own website using letsencrypt certificate still works.
If users turn Firefox off and on again it solves the problem and users are workarounding this bug every day since months this way but I'm looking for a real and definitive fix.
I copy paste there some certificates I get when I click the SEC_ERROR_UNKNWON_ISSUER link:

Can anybody suggest a site that I can use to replace Real Player. One that possibly has the ease and range of Real Player. I have been all over to Real Player, Adobe, Firefox, and every other site imaginable. I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled enough junk and useless "fixes" to fill three computers. I need a new downloader that will allow me to D-load and save videos from various sites. Is there any other site that will do that. Oh yeah, free helps too.

I have the "flash cookie remover" installed. I recently rebooted my router, giving me a new IP address. Then I opened Firefox in Private Browsing mode. When I searched youtube for "replace radiator" it auto-suggested "jeep cherokee" (my car) and "honda civic" (my parents car, which I occasionally work on).
Private Browsing isn't private! How do I protect myself from being uniquely identified by companies?

I have several addon buttons in my toolbar to the right of the urlbar. Firefox hides them in a dropdown button labeled "More tools...". I don't want it to do this when it is wide enough, but I can't figure out how to change this behavior. When I enter the customize screen, the button vanishes, and neither it nor any of the buttons it hides appear on any toolbar or in the "additional tools and features" pane.
What I want is that when the window is wider than 700px screen pixels, it shows all buttons. If it gets even wider, then keep stretching the urlbar.
Here's how it looks like now. http://puu.sh/cw3qv/ceebc027c6.png
How can I achieve this?

I have here a serious very strange problem and I do not know what to do. I'm on Xp here for +15years without any problems sofar that I have not fixed but the time has come that I have now here a big strange problem. The problem is that when I surf to certain sites is that my browser hangs and I can not load any pages and the wheel keeps on spinning. Then I must close it and FF stays hanging in task manger and so I must close it there as well. This sounds familiar around here a so pose but I have done everything I can that I know off and I know a lot to fix problems. I have done it all and the strange thing know is that it does it with every browser EXCEPT the old Internet explorer on Xp. That seems nothing to worry about it and I can go on browsing like nothing is happen but every other browser hangs. Name them all... I have tried it. Also when I start in safe mode... all the same. It hangs except IE. So it is no program that I have installed or what so ever and I can browse all my pages that I browse and now off and no problems but in a while it hangs with a new site when searching for something etc....
Also I have here every good security program on Xp like Kaspersky, Emsisoft,... and many more on XP (not all of them running off course) but they find nothing so my pc is clean of infection. until now I have found no infections throughout the years that I'm on Xp so this is also not the problem. So what is the problem here? I have also W8 and there is everything fine but here on Xp... I will give the link that I have found today where I can make this error appear very fast and always. This is a little bliss for me because in the past I cannot get this error every time. Some times I thought even that the problem was fixed because I get no problems for a while but now I have found it so make it every time. The link is https://developer.mozilla.org/nl/docs/Web/Demos_of_open_web_technologies It is a link that does not work but that is not the problem. The problem is that when I click on this link it stays on loading but never loads but the real headache is that when I want to open other tabs with other sites all the sites does not load. I see it loads for about half and than nothing. It stops and I get to no other pages until I restart the browser. Then is everything fine. I get also no errors in the logs here except the error log of FF.
So If the error is also when in safe mode what can be the problem? I have it with a few websites until know so there must be a connection between the OS, the third party browsers and some sites? I do not know. I have tried also every network program to fix all the things that they can fix but nothing works. I think it is a Xp problem here but the strange thing is that IE is the only browser that not hangs when doing this.
Have anyone a clue what this can be?

Hi. I have a website which display numerous audio outputs using the HTML5 tag <audio>. Firefox is the only browser that fails to display all the audio files on the webpage.
It only displays the first audio file. All other browsers display every audio file......?

Using firefox 45.8.0 ESR on Windows.
Trying to load https://secure.scheduleonce.com/dana
The page doesn't load, and in the network panel I see a crossed padlock icon instead of green padlock icon for this request: OPTIONS https://cfproxy.scheduleonce.com/get-data/GetLandingPageLayout
on Chrome / Safari / IE and even more recent version of FF this page loads fine without any problems.
Is there any way to debug what's wrong with that reques to resource exactly ? FF doesn't give me any information as to what went wrong.
I suspect it might be related to the fact it's a preflight CORS request (the requested domain is different than that hosted page domain).
