Can You explain why you try to inform us about securities and improvements against privacy threats BUT now the Browser try to get access to a personal Folder? Does the Documents folder needed for internet browsing? Please, answer me otherwise I report this weird behaviour to authority. Thanks

What are the restricted sites in the Firefox extension details? What are the sites restricted by Mozilla, as referred to on the page https://support.mozilla.org/pl/kb/dlaczego-niektore-dodatki-nie-sa-dozwolne-na-stronach-ograniczonych-przez-mozille?as=u&utm_source=inproduct#firefox:win10:fx135 ?

I have a HUGE problem with Firefox memory usage. Some open instances of firefox are taking anywhere from 600mb to 2.8gb of memory. Since firefox opens MANY instances even with only ONE active window, this very quickly uses all available memory (4gb) causing a full laptop crash.

More concerning is that CLOSING the worst instance of memory usage STILL leaves the single open page/tab open, so what exactly was the memory eating instance actually doing ???

I have included a screengrab of the many remaining instances of firefox in windows task manager AFTER closing the main culprit.

I have also included a screengrab of all the adblockers I use which I believed would limit unnecessary memory usage, but does not seem to be effective.

Please assist or advise why Firefox seems to be slowing down my system by memory usage. I have a handful (6) of tabs open on 1 browser session and my system started slowing down so I checked my task manager and it shows that I have more than a dozen of Firefox instances open chewing up almost 90% of my memory.

Please assist or advise me on how to tweak my browser to perform better, and not to show ghost instances

I'm encountering some difficulties with my current account, which is locked out. I would like to request assistance from the support team to help me delete my account and remove my personal information from the platform. However, I'm having trouble finding the contact information for the support team. I couldn't locate their email address or phone number, and I'm hesitant to post my personal email address and information on a public forum.

I'm feeling quite frustrated, as I've never encountered such challenges with an app before. It appears that I'm unable to reach the Firefox support team at the moment. Can someone please provide guidance on how I can securely and privately request their assistance in deleting my account and personal information?

I had to create a new account just to post this question because my original account got locked out. This happened because I recently acquired a new phone and didn't transfer the two-step authentication information to my new device.

Just getting started using Mozilla features after many years absence. So much has changed! I have yet to decide what I need help with. All of it! So let me proceed on my own to figure this out and return for support when I feel I need it most, and more importantly, when I feel I feel I have the time and energy to devote to the learning curve required.

I regularly receive email advice (via Thunderbird) from companies to access my account with them.

Two days ago I selected a link to direct me to the secure form. I note that the exact same link has been provided to me in the past and opened. This time however I was confronted with "Invalid Address".

I was advised to copy the link into another browser; I chose "Edge" and the form opened.

I have cleared FireFox's "Recent History" but that still gives no joy.

How do I overcome this?

Is there something in a configuration file that I might edit, or a potentially corrupt Windows Registry entry?

I do not use any Windows Security depending upon Bitdefender (which has never created any issues of this nature).

Hi there! It started yesterday. I keep getting warning messages from Bitdefender that a connection Firefox was trying to establish was blocked. I will include a screenshot of the warning. I searched the link included in the warning and it comes up as a Firefox related link. I had six or seven of these warnings within the last 3 hours of using the computer and am concerned and irritated. Firefox is updated automatically on this computer and I think the last major change would have been the "cookie jar" thing(?). Obviously, the warning only says that the a certificate has expired. It seems to me that Firefox's DoH implementation is not just pointless but actually harmful. It is security theater. Let me explain:

• There is no fine-grained control
• There is no ability for the user to choose what level applies to what networks
• Default Protection provides no protection when there is a canary domain (trivial)
• Increased Protection provides no protection when the default provider fails (trivial)
• Max Protection requires manual intervention when the default provider fails
• Bonus: it's inconvenient or impossible to use on mobile

For DoH to be useful, the user has to invest effort they could better spend setting up a proper system-level solution.

Hi I am a long time user of firefox because i love its customization and tools available to help me with my work and personal life. Recently i have been ordered to remove Firefox from the company laptop as it was deemed insecure by the IT and security department. I have been told to use MS edge and Google's Chrome. Their reasoning is "An inconsistent comparator in xslt/txNodeSorter could have resulted in potentially exploitable out-of-bounds access. Only affected version 122 and later. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 136 and Firefox ESR < 128.8." I do not know what this means. Is there something i can tell my IT department to argue against the directive to only use either Edge or Chrome. Best regards, F Silva

I was very excited to see in the 131.0.3 release notes that it fixed a problem with bill pay. I've been unable to use bill pay at my small local bank since v131. My bank was unable to help me and I couldn't get bill pay to work with v131 even after opening everything up as much as I knew how (cookies, trackers, etc.).

Sadly, v 131.0.3 still has the same behavior of blocking bill pay with a very similar message to the BOA message posted earlier.

My local bank uses a site named: web13.secureinternetbanking.com and in the past, I also needed to exempt cookies from sites named: cwsb40.checkfreeweb.com and cw411.checkfreeweb.com. I've also added these sites to the exceptions list for enhanced tracking without effect.

I found a thread on Mozilla Connect from ipv6_fan that seemed to indicate a solution.

Based on that thread, I checked the following parameters:

The value of network.cookie.cookieBehavior.optInPartitioning is false.

The value of network.cookie.CHIPS.enabled is true.

When I set network.cookie.CHIPS.enabled to false, my billpay popped up as usual.

This seems to indicate (to a novice like me) that there are still issues in 131.0.3 with partitioned cookies.

To make this point, yesterday I spent probably an hour and a 1/2 trying to get to another bank account on Barclays working again because they just "upgraded their web experience". I think I was able to get all the new URLs identified for my exception list for cookies, but blocking cross tracking also creates havoc and I had to turn it off to get the bank site to work. I tried to add sites to the exception list for cross tracking, but firefox still showed it was blocking trackers even though I had added it to the exception list - so I gave up after all that time.

I appreciate the additional security being built into Firefox, but it seems to not play well with banks who seem to be on their own path for increasing security. These two paths don't seem to be converging.

I hope this doesn't sound ungrateful. Thanks for working on this.
