Hello all. I seem to have a new version of Firefox installed on my computer, or an update has made it a newer version (89) and now it does not save my passwords. When I close down the laptop and re start it the next time I want to use it and go to firefox, none of the paswords I had thought I'd saved previously are there. This is very frustrating as I have a lot of places I visit which I had, in previous times using an earlier version of firefox, saved passwords which populated the correct places. I am no techie so really don't understand what has happened. Every time I want to get onto even my email, I have to leaf through my black book to find the necessary password and do it all manually.

Please can anyone help?

My passwords are not being saved correctly and I'm running the latest version of Firefox. Twice this week I needed the correct pw to sign in to an email account and in both cases Firefox had the wrong password. Is there anything that can be done to improve the password saving of my Firefox account?

I have two Google Accounts, a private one, and a company account. The company requires to change the PW from time to time. Immediately after doing that, Firefox offers to update the saved login and I choose to update. To my dismay, I find out later, that the new PW was not saved, and I cannot login any more.

Happened three times now, and the third time I paid extra attention and updated in Lockwise manually after Firefox failed again. This is a nasty bug. Now I cannot trust Firefox to save my passwords?

I own a small business. We do have online accounts from suppliers, vendors to customers. I need to put employees in front of customer support for these online accounts. However, if an employee sits down to work on our accounts, he can clearly see the passwords for the log in information of our accounts.

Is there a way to lock the Firefox or any other browser (or any software or ANYTHING) out there that doesn't expose saved passwords? I don't know how to pass this security issue. The reason it's important is because if employee saves these passwords, he can obviously do bad things when he is not in the office.

Any help is greatly appreciated

I use the password manager in Firefox. Makes it easier to log in to different sites. I have found a situation that has been overlooked. Multiple sites use a persons e-mail address for identity. Different sites then would all use the one e-mail address for identity. Each site however would have a different password. So we have one "name" but multiple passwords connected to that name. Firefox doesnt realize that the one name has multiple passwords so everytime you login to a site that uses your email address as your identity, it asks if you may want to update your password. You have to refuse everytime because the different sites have a different password. If you update the password, each site will now have the password of the last updated password. Its a issue that needs to be fixed so Firefox recognizes how a Email address=Name can have multiple passwords because different sites are using the same name. It looks like Firefox isnt making the connection that different sites are being visited by the same person so some information will be consistent among different sites visited. Thus not realizing that its correct that the "same" name has a password that is different for this new site.

Is there a workaround? thx.

Hello,

When accessing my Old Navy account they require a 2 step process for Logging In. Once I click on the login button it takes me to a page where it asks for my email. Here's where I hit the issue: FireFox Password Manager does not fill this in for me; not even the auto-fill works here. After I enter my email it then takes me to a page where my password is filled in (yay!). I'm glad that it at least fills in the password but I'd like to not have to fill in my email on the previous page.

I tried to create a new entry in Password Manager but it won't take the entire url; it shortens it. This url changes each time I go thru the process which complicates everything. I was hoping to take one of those urls (https://secure-oldnavy.gap.com/my-account/sign-in?flowId=wJb1e) but it shortened it to just (https://secure-oldnavy.gap.com). I even tried creating a new entry without the last few characters (https://secure-oldnavy.gap.com/my-account/sign-in?flowId=) but again it shortened it.

Is there a way to get FF Password Manager to provide auto-fill of my email address?

Thanks, Andre'a
