Counter code numbers do not show for me here with FF but do show for Safari (which I don't like): http://robfalcone.com/rf/

Embedded archive sows fine on this ONE site but all others similar won't show it even tho all are set up exactly the same.

This form is showing correctly. https://www.denisericciardi.org/mailing-list/

This form is NOT. https://amherstrepublicans.org/mailing-list/

This archive shows correctly. https://www.denisericciardi.org/mailing-list/archive-2023/

The one embedded here does NOT. https://bedfordresidents.com/bra/mailing-list/newsletter-archive/

I have about 30 websites with these errors. The only ONE is this that has NO errors even tho setup exactly the same https://www.denisericciardi.org/mailing-list/archive-2023/

I have Firefox 115.1.0esr. Google is my home page. When I search for things I want to ONLY use the Google bar. I DON'T want to start typing and have the URL bar start to fill in. See screenshot, I've unchecked what I think should allow only the Google bar to fill in and search. But it's still going to the MAIN URL bar above. Please help me fix this, it's driving me crazy!!!!!

Hi, I accidentally allowed notifications (while using Firefox) from a particular web site only to find out that now I get numerous notifications regarding phony virus alerts, etc. I am unable to block the notifications.

I searched the web for how to block a notification from a web site, but have not come up with any solutions.

In particular, I went to about:preferences > Privacy & Security > Permissions > Notifications. The web site is set to Block, but still the unwanted notifications continue. Perhaps the notifications are coming from a different web site that seems to be hidden?

I also quit Firefox and restarted Firefox, but the notifications continue. I also restarted my Macbook Pro, but that didn’t help either.

Here is the link I originally clicked on, but I obviously wouldn’t want anyone to click on it:

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=!ducky+trialjuries&ia=web

I would be so grateful if anyone has a solution!

I added a screenshot of youtube having flickering while video is being played, it is a bit hard to see but there is a slightly brighter stripe on the grey background and picture cant depict flickering; it starts immediately after video is started and stops after 3-4 sec after video is paused, like there is some background activity behind youtube foreground. I understand my comp is weak (Intel Iris Graphics 550 1536 MB 8 GB, 2133 MHz LPDDR3), but not that much, please help

Animation triggers my migraines.

Man websites use transition and animation timing functions such as "ease in-out" to animate the interface. I try to block this. Among other tools I use userContent,css, including the following:

  • {animation-timing-function: step-start !important}
  • {transition-timing-function: step-start !important}

This works to de-animate regular css elements, but not ::before and ::after pseudo-elements.

The current css standards do not apply user css to pseudo-elements. I've written to the WCAG about the issue.

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1865572

https://github.com/w3c/wcag3/issues/40

But I really really need some way to de-animate these, because they trigger my migraines. Aside from css fixes, I often reduce the frame rate in about:config, but can't always do that, disable smooth scrolling, disable animated gifs and animated pngs, disable autoplay, block various non-scrolling elements using either css or uBlock Origin, etc.

For the last several days (as of 12/20/2023) I have had issues with playback on sites including Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Dropout.tv (not YouTube). Error messages indicate that my browser is unsupported and I need the newest version of Firefox, but my browser is completely up-to-date. Pausing my adblocker on these sites does nothing to correct the issue, nor does restarting the browser or my computer.

Comcast (Xfinity) requested that I change my webmail password. I have https://login.xfinity.com on the list of exceptions for cookies and site data to ALLOW. Regardless, Firefox doesn't allow me to do a password reset.

I used Safari to change the password. It worked.

Since I use most of the time Firefox, I wanted to go back and login into Comcast webmail using Firefox with the new password. It doesn't let me and just tells me to reset my password.

This used to work in the past. Something had to be changed since I last changed passwords for webmail in later versions of Firefox.

Please let me know know what to do to enable me to continue to use Firefox for webmail. I have version 115.5. Thanks.

about.ef2a7dd5-93bc-417f-a698-142c3116864f.mozilla This ‘cookie’ (no size shown) has been showing up on my Firefox ‘manage website data’ since at least March ’23 and it will NOT delete. It may not be 'a real cookie' but I still can’t get rid of it.

When I searched online for that apparent address I found: https://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/applications/tor-browser/-/issues/40175 The info near the top of that site’s page: Torbutton INFO: tor SOCKS: http://expyuzz4wqqyqhjn.onion/static/images/home/png/block-trackers@3x.png?h=70991bcb via --unknown--:cc55771ba6d6e8c6542066863a47e223 SOCKS is a username? And the ‘onion/hidden service’ address cannot be accessed unless using the Tor browser? So that seems a dead end for me.

I have seen 3 other people posting here in the past year about this particular cookie. hobro1 did an uninstall & still had to remove directories manually after getting some answers from several others. blazee decided – based on the answer given by jscher 2000 – that it probably wasn’t dangerous. mekishev 1 received an answer from cor-el that is incomprehensible to me, except for saying ‘it isn’t a real cookie’. I understand it may not 'a real cookie' but then why is it showing up in 'manage website data' where everything else is a cookie?

Can anyone help, please? I’m about to migrate over to a new computer and really don’t want to take this with me. I don’t like the fact that it persists, and that the cookies ‘keeper’ – SOCKS maybe? – is completely hidden.

Thanks much in advance for any assistance!

PS The only possible explanation I've come up with for how it got this cookie is when I was checking out some Firefox extensions; I didn’t even know what Tor was till trying to figure this out.

I am using FF 115.7.0 on a Mac. I normally use tabs but when I need a new window, it opens with every one of my bookmarks in a tab. I can open a subject in a new window from an article in a tab from a different window but I just can't open an empty window without getting all of my bookmarks opened in (many!) separate tabs.

Thanks for any help.
