Firefox has long been my browser of choice on all platforms. I am switching from Windows to Linux and have recently found problems playing some videos on the Linux version of Foxfire. I don’t know if it’s a matter of having the right codec or something else. The videos play with Chromium on Linux and with Firefox on my Android smartphone. In seeing other answers to this dilemma it presents another problem. I do use sync. But what troubles me is IF I need to give out the password for someone to use the internet that person now has access to my passwords. Since there seems no way, unless I shutoff sync. Is this correct? Should there be some Secondary password? Passwordpasswordpasswordpasswordetc.

The pdf gets overwritten by the new text when it is scrolled down or up and the whole pdf becomes messy. I have attached an image showing the same. The terminal gets into the background of the pdf and any other application that is opened on the screen.

I'm talking about how when you go to fill out a text input, it'll suggest that input next time you go to a similar field. Well, that system just saved my social security number as an input after I filled out a government form. I would like to turn this feature off now, and delete the history of it if I can. Is there a way I can do that?

In Firefox I get:

   File not found
   Firefox can’t find the file at https://the_url_in_question.
   Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.
   Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.            

Same file called seconds apart. Please note: this is NOT a 404 error. The file is there: if I fix the error on line 747, the PHP Notice goes away and FF loads the page correctly.

The system continues to tell me that my original email address is the primary address. That address has been hacked and I need to remove it and replace it. I am then told I need to add a secondary address before I can change. I go into the area where this is done and when I press add it says that the new address is already there. How do I get rid of the hacked address and replace it with the new one (which Mozilla does actually recognize!)?

Why can the Firefox source code (view-source) of a website be nearly three times the size compared with Chrome/Opera or when I save the Firefox source code marked and copied and then pasted and saved via an editor?

I'm using Firefox 127.0.2 on Arch Linux. In settings under General>Startup>"Open previous windows and tabs" is not checked. Under about:config browser.sessionstore.restore_on_demand is false, and browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash is false

How do I get Firefox to give me a clean slate after restarting my computer?

Using FF 115.12.0esr from openSuse 15.5. Get responses from various web sites that the browser needs an update, that it is no longer supported, etc. Some sites block me out. Another site just now reported the version of my FF is 102--so no wonder it has problems. How can I change the version number that web sites see to reflect the actual update level? Is there a way to force FF to use HTTP/3? There are multiple instances (youtube, for example) when site says "alt-svc: h3", but FF ignores it and keeps using at best HTTP/2.

Why do you make it so fxxxxxx hard to ask a question??????? In the tab info it says, If you want to move a tab from one Firefox window to another, click on the tab and drag it to the tab strip of another Firefox window.

What the xxxx does that mean????? There is no tab strip!! There is no obvious place to move it! These are bad instructions! When you write instructions read them over and make sure they are complete! Have somebody that doesn't know anything read them and see if they can follow them!

So I was trying to test webauthn so I went to webauthn.io and then signed up with my username but firefox then tells me touch your security key to continue with webauthn.io but it works very well google chrome. and shows me a qr code and then I scan it in my phone. And after some search I think that the problem is that firefox defaults to use the security key which is a physical device but i don't want to use it I want to get the QR code. Also I tried different websites but got the same problem.

And by the way I use arch linux but I don't think that the problem is with arch as I mentioned before everything worked very well in google chrome.

Well I am on the near end of Support for Windows 7 SP1 Pro here for Firefox 107.1, and very similar with me, instead of Stop Errors, I get complete Computer Freeze ups, and don't have Hardware Acceleration enabled on it, but I did some Evidence that the Freeze ups maybe due to too many Firefox processes running and apparently causing some issues of PID handling which is causing which I did a test and found out CSRSS.exe maybe having difficulty with the Multiple Firefox Processes in some versions of Windows 7, 8.1 & 10, last known problem was discovery of the Win32K. sys Lockdown Exploit which to some note is also Security Exploit.

Twitch, Youtube Live, Netflix, Kick... it seems any live streaming platform cannot play. I am running Linux Mint 21.3, Kernel 5.15.0. They work on a different browsers, they all also work on Firefox my laptop, which is also on the same OS and Kernel.

I have tried everything: installed ffmpeg, installed unrestricted ubuntu codecs, refreshed firefox (twice), uninstalled/reinstalled firefox, ive tried without extensions, yet nothing.

Cant for the life of me figure it out, im not sure if its my PC or Firefox on this machine.
