I'm using Firefox 127.0.2 on Arch Linux. In settings under General>Startup>"Open previous windows and tabs" is not checked. Under about:config browser.sessionstore.restore_on_demand is false, and browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash is false

How do I get Firefox to give me a clean slate after restarting my computer?

Firefox was crashing regularly in my PC desktop. I have updated from win 10 to11 recently then only i am seeing firefox browser crashes daily. I am using browser version 127.0.2 (64-bit). Below is dump file.

Hi, i have formatted my macbook pro, before i have made a back up with timemachine. I'd like to restore my bookmarks but i can't find it on the back up. I have tried to find on Library>Application support but in this folder there is not the Firefox folder in wich i expected to find the Profile folder.

This isn't strictly related to Hulu but using it as an example: Hulu has some bug right now where it will occasionally suddenly use a lot of CPU power and completely lock up Firefox, and to some degree my whole system. If I manage to "close" the tab, it *appears* to close, but it's very clear that whatever Hulu is doing is still going on in the background. This time I was at least able to open the task manager and kill Firefox – which immediately alleviated the problem, and upon reopening Firefox, the Hulu tab was still there (indicating it never closed).

I don't know if this is possible, especially given I don't know what's causing the bug with Hulu, but it would be nice if Firefox was better able to handle a tab getting out of control like that.

I use Firefox to access my bank account, and it autofills the personal id number, and, when I click, the 6 digit code, which I allow it to store, because no one else has access to this PC. BUT, I had to take it in for repair, and give them my Windows login details. When I got the computer back, I went to the bank login page, and the autofill was a different personal id number. Does this mean that somebody used Firefox on my machine to login to their account? Or could a reboot have meant that Firefox randomly changed the PID number? Thank-you for your help.

Are Firefox extensions sandboxed from the rest of the operating system? Suppose I have installed a malicious extension/add-on on my system. Would it be possible for the extension to access and tamper with my operating system? I do not care if it tampers with the browser tabs or data inside the browser as long as it does not have a way to tamper with my OS. Using MacOS Sonoma

Firefox is my favourite browser so I prefer using it in all my online activities. When I go to Adobe Firefly though, I consistently get a warning that this browser is not compatible and they suggest using Chrome, Safari or the latest version of Firefox !!! I am using the latest version available, 127.0.2 but Adobe does not detect it correctly. I have to switch to Chrome, that I'm not very fond of. I saw that a similar issue was posted 10 months ago but it's now archived and I can't even include a link to it here :( So, I hope this comment helps in case others have the same problem. Dear FireFox, I am writing this E-mail to address a critical issue. So i wanted to set up a password for my firefox browser so that only I can access it. i set a primary password, and it asks me to enter the password when i open my browser. However, when the message appears asking me to enter the password, you can just click "cancel" option or press 'x' it ignores the password and lets me in the browser, essentially rendering the purpose of the password useless. thus anyone can access my browser. i request you to fix this problem. I'm trying to setup MFA with DUO Mobile app, and I get past the part where I scan the QR code successfully. However, when it requests that I then enter the code generated by the app it rejects the code each and every time. My DUO app (on iPhone) is updated to the most current version as of today (6/30/2024), and my iPhone is updated to most current iOS version for iPhone 13, as of today. However, after multiple attempts the issue persists.

How do I stop these recurring update notices? Every 3 seconds. I'll update when I am ready as this current one does not affect me at all. For a while I fell for it, stopped what I was doing and did the ridiculous update, it still continues! I can move on to a different non-Mozilla browser if I have too. Return the option to not update and/or do it manually. FF127.0.2

about a month ago youtube was only letting me watch videos in 720 or 360, as of about a week ago i only have 360. i've disabled every single extension i have and i have firefox version 127.0.2.

i'm not having this issue in edge, so i assume it's firefox specific. anyone know what's going on or what i can do?

On 18 June in the morning my bookmarks were all listed to the left of my browser and I shut down my laptop. That evening I turned on the laptop and bookmarks were gone the browser got brighter and my bookmarks are now only accessible thru a tab in upper right hand corner called other bookmarks. I want them back to the left side of my browser and do not know how to do it.

Earlier today I had to do a complete software reset on my MacBook Pro (running Sonoma 14.5). Prior to the reset, I had been running the newest version of Firefox and was signed in; I assumed that Sync was on and that it was storing my passwords and bookmarks.

After the system reset, I re-installed Firefox and signed in again, but none of my passwords or bookmarks are showing up. However, under connected services, I still see the old (pre-reset) name of my MacBook Pro, in addition to the MacBook Pro's current name.

Is it possible to retrieve my pre-reset passwords and bookmarks?

<issue detail> Our salesforce have customized serach founctions. this search function doesn't work only in firefox browser(Edge, Chorme is ok). we can send input data from salesforce to search, however search result doesn't appear.

<current situation> we were investigating this issue with salesforce. we found this article : https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/platform/lwc/guide/security-lwsec-async.html >When LWS is enabled, JavaScript async functions that are used from a static resource work in Chromium-based browsers, but don't work in Firefox currently. The issue is a bug in Firefox.

I have Firefox currently installed on my Windows 10 computer as a backup browser. Normally I don't run it and it isn't the default browser. However, for the past couple of days the Firefox Crash Reporter keeps popping up when I don't even have Firefox running. I can't see anything running in the Task Manager that looks as if it might be related to Firefox. Why on earth does this keep happening?

I have both Win7 and Win10 on separate drives. I have been migrating from 7 to 10. From all appearances Firefox on both OS's are sync'd. I have asked for my passwords to be sync'd, yet they have not migrated to Win 10. Bookmarks have so I know something is working. Any advice? Thanks Chris

I'm having issues with videos loading on ANY webiste, YouTube ect.... This started happening very recently out of the blue. Videos work fine on Edge. Additionally, I cannot run Firefox in troubleshooting mode? It crashes. I tried "refreshing" and reinstalling Firefox to no avail. I am using AdAware AV and AVG anti viruses if it matters, I have tired disabling both and loading FIrefox, no changes.

I just got this new computer and want to transfer my FireFox bookmarks and history to it. I cannot access my old account because I do not have access to that email anymore, and you require me to get a code sent to that email to log in. That is still on my old computer that was originally running Windows 8, and has been deteriorating ever since Microsoft jammed Windows 10 down it's throat.

I might still be able to export the bookmarks if there is some way to do that.

The best way would be if I could access to that old account without needing to access bonin006@umn.edu my current email is wayne@nano-dyne.com
