I don't know what happened because the browser was working fine earlier this morning and I didn't do anything to compromise it. I didn't go to settings and change anything. I suspect someone may have 'hacked in,' if that is still even a 'thing.' I think this because when I try to shut off my internet temporarily someone turns it back on and I usually have to 'fight' with whoever that is to get my internet to go off. I tried to ask google a question I wanted the answer to. That question was, how long does the flu last (because I have it or covid.) I also asked how long does covid last. What happened was that spinning thing where it was continually searching but never going to the site. Can you help, please? Thanks in advance if you can.

i have problem with the proxy setting when i am setting ip address 127.0.0.1 to intercept the request this is the problem i am having please help me about this problem and call me on [removed phone# from public] as soon as possible The proxy server is refusing connections

Our IT specialist at UW-Madison is stumped and suggested I reach out to Firefox. He was helping me troubleshoot why Firefox keeps saying it's sending a code to verify my account, but I never receive the code. He has added the "accounts" email to my contacts and I don't know what else to do or try. Any ideas from the community? I need my bookmarks after upgrading to Windows 11 and can't imagine trying to recreate them all.

I want to get rid of that url bar that pops up on the left bottom of the screen when you hover over a bookmark, a link on a page, a video... anything that leads to another web address. It disappears when you hover over it and changes to the right bottom of the screen. It appears when i'm trying to watch videos on sites when i'm in full screen and refuses to go away. I've tried the chrome folder solution posted here and it doesn't work. I've tried many other solutions online and they don't work either.

A few of the things that were supposed to be labeled as they were in the solution were not available on my new version of FF but I found the correct folder to post the chrome folder in regardless. The box to open the profile folder was further down and labeled differently than in the instructions posted from a year or more ago here.

I'm using a fresh install of windows 11 and the latest version of Fire Fox 115.0.2 64bit

I suffered a catastrophic crash and had to replace my computer, a mac. I replaced it with another mac.

Because the older one will not boot up, I could not migrate my firefox data.

I ended up doing 'lost password' for all my sites.

There are a couple where the lost password thing hasn't worked.

It occurred to me to rename the (new computer's) logins.json file, copy the old computer's logins.json file from my external backup drive, put it in new computer's /user/library/application support/firefox, and then look in preferences, get the two passwords I want, set things back, enter these passwords into firefox again.

This did not work. In fact, now no matter which file is named logins.json, preferences says I have NO passwords stored.

I cannot find anything that tells me how to just decrypt the .json files (at least, not in a step-by-step way that I can use.)

Recently YT is barely loading videos with the message "if playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device" or it simply stuck tried on edge and it doesn't happened can anybody help me diagnose this problem?

Restarting FF doesn't always work has to be done multiple times, and it soon breaks after browsing or restarting the browser

The grey bar on the player does load but the player never plays its just back

I received a message from Fire Fox that I should update. Now I have 2 Fire Fox icons and I need to know how to determine which one to delete. Then I need to know how to transfer my favorites and history to the one I keep. They both show favorites and history. I'm a rookie at this so if you can explain step by step it would help, thanks.

Hello. Last night i had to reinstall windows and i lost everything. but in firefox i have loged in and synced. its also synced with my safari browser on my phone. is it possible in any way to get my bookmarks and passwords back? because everything is gone and the profile folder only shows dates after i installed firefox again!

Since the Firefox update released 2 days ago (version 115.0.1) I'm constantly having an issue which causes the video to stop playing after the adverts. I eventually get a video unavailable message. I've cleared my cache but it's made no difference. I'm hoping that this is a known issue & that someone is investigating ?

As of the past few days the OneNote Web Clipper Extension has stopped working in Firefox. Is this a known problem? Is there a fix? I've tried refreshing FF and reinstalling the extension but the problem persists.
