(SECOND occurrence of this problem; not sure HOW previous instance resolved - my short-term memory ISN'T the best at present!)

Have taken all recommended steps short of completely refreshing (renamed a file titled 'config.json.old' as it was the ONLY one with a 'json' filepath suffix) because I don't want to have to relocate (another) existing session / configured profile by trial & error if avoidable - 'cookies' were removed along with history / cache cleared; reset / deleted related browser registry entries as directed, activated ' Troubleshooting / Safe Mode' contingency and STILL can't download anything (additionally, tried to do so with and without limited-time Malwarebytes web protections).....want to CONTINUE using Version 95 because by ALL indications and from what I'm seeing in Comments, my instincts about newer ones - were sound, WELL-informed.....please advise ASAP? Thanks!

All of a sudden Firefox has ceased to react when I'm trying to download a file/save a page. When I click Cmd+S or File → Save page as…, nothing happens. When I try to open an upload dialogue, a solid gray window appears, and that's it. Uploading files through drag&drop interface works fine.

The problem seemingly appeared after migrating from a Mac Mini to a Macbook Air (both M1). I've already tried to restart the laptop and refresh Firefox — to no avail.

Is there anything else I could try to do?

I have a brand new Win 10 MS Surface 4 Laptop, and have tried downloading and installing various versions of Firefox:

From the the Windows Store Direct downloads (via MS Edge): Mozilla FF Win 64 Mozilla FF Win 64 MSI Mozilla FF Win 32

I have completely uninstalled and attempted to re-install each in turn. Attempts to open FF through desktop shortcut, Start Menu and Win-R FF.exe all seem to start but only ever get the briefest flash of a blue line along the Taskbar then nothing. Same happens starting Shift-Shortcut.

Nothing shows in Task Manager either after any start method. I'm pretty sure I'm not in 'S Mode' as I've been able to download, install and run WhatsApp Web, but I'm not wholly convinced I've cleared that up fully.

FIX what seem to be CLEAR conflicts with relationship between platform and user's device (desktop, Dell Optiplex 790 in my case - that do NOT occur with Opera, otherwise) as WELL as aforementioned ATROCIOUS performance quality - BTW, this is the SECOND update / upgrade I've done in LESS than a WEEK.....

Hi All! Need some help for a client please :) iMac 27in (late 2013) Processor = 3.2Ghz Quad Core Intel Core i5 Memory = 8GB DDR3 MacOS Catalina = 10.15.7 1TB HDD Not sure if this is a MacOS thing or a Firefox thing. My client would prefer to use Firefox, currently using Chrome. However - whenever they close Chrome or shutdown / restart the computer, Firefox looses everything and they have to re-import all the data from Chrome. This is happening on a continual basis. It's simply not saving any data / settings that are imported from Chrome.

I HAVE COMPLAINED BEFORE ABOUT THIS- \bing-ebay-google-wikipedia-amazon - CONSTANTLY -- DOWNLOADING ONTO MY FIREFOX - AND I DID REMOVE ANY THING CLOSE TO bing-ebay-google-wikipedia-amazon- I NOTICE SEVERAL PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM- SO REMOVE THAT CRAP ADS OR I'LL FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT- I WILL MAKE SURE THAT PEOPLE SEARCH THEIR FIRE FOX. THANK GOD FOE UNINSTALL TOOLS THAT CAN TRACK AND FIND YOUR SECRET AD ONS- NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO SEARCH OR WORRY ABOUT FIREFOX PUTTING JUNK ON THEIR BROWSER- YOUR STATEMENT OF TRUST STATES THAT FIREFOX WILL NOT AD JUNK OR UNWANTED ADS.

I just recently updated my Macbook Air to Big Sur and downloaded Firefox to use as my default browser. Installation went smoothly and I am able to use the program as intended. When I click on an external link, an window pops up and tells I do not have permission to open the app and to contact my computer or network administrator for support.

I am not computer savvy when it comes to programming and would love any help anyone has to offer.

Hi there, I've downloaded Firefox but I only seem to have the disc image, how to I get the app to open? It's in my applications file. I have a MacBook Pro with High Sierra version 10.13.6 OS. Many thanks in advance. Best regards, Anna Daley
