When watching something on Youtube and I click on the coloured download icon, I get to be able to click on the title of the video. A blue 1 appears in the download icon. When I click again, then click on the blue 1 to watch the download. Nothing happens. The window just sits there and states 'downloading', but it does not happen. This happened last year and you managed to fix it; now Youtube seem to have blocked downloading again. Geoffrey D Dean, Australia.

Attempting to download and install browser. exe. file downloads OK. When running exe. file, it hangs halfway through, and stops. Following message appears: "Gah. Your tab just crashed" Restore tabs option fails to fix problem!

My desktop PC is using Win 10, 64 bit with 16GB RAM. Chrome browser Version 114.0.5735.110. Have cleared cache and history. Win Defender only anti-malware prog running. Have run CCleaner.

I set my browser to use English instead of my local language and I expect sites to use English by default. Now for some reason Gmail showed me a "do you want to leave this page" browser dialogue in language other than English.

Turns out, there's a new(?) option to set alternative interface languages, and I suppose websites can now choose which one to use?

Wow, just noticed, even tooltips on this website aren't in English anymore. This is extremely annoying.

I'd love to remove the alternate language from that list and leave Firefox interface exclusively in English. There is no option to remove the second language, only to move priority (see screenshot).

Searching through about:config with "language" didn't help. The closest relevant result was for the dictionaries. I do not have problems with dictionaries; "alternate" did not bring any relevant results either.

All stories on Fox news and Yahoo do not show comments on the end of the stories. If I use MS edge the comment sections are there on all stories. I am using the latest mozilla program and am running windows 10.

Over the years I have accumulated important links in my Firefox Bookmarks bar and passwords file and it would be a disaster if for some reason my hard drive got compromised and I could no longer access them. Is there any way to copy the data to another set-up, independent of my laptop, from where the data could be retrieved in a usable form for display on another laptop or PC? Thanks.

When I use Firefox, Every. Single. Time. I log into gmail, all the instructions are in Chinese. If I just log out, default is Chinese. Do I need to change my email address? Gmail is my work email, also, and it doesn't happen with that account at work, but the default browser is Chrome.

Yes, I've repeatedly changed the language back to English. I have 2-step verification for logging in. I just changed my password, closed all browsers, reset trusted devices. Did not help. If I use Mozilla Firefox, when I type in gmail.com, my email addresses are in English; everything else is Chinese.

I used Firefox to log into QB online morning of 6/8/23. Afternoon of same day I was kicked off and unable to log back in. This morning I contacted QB and we were able to log in to QB online from my computer on another browser. I updated FF today and still can not log into QB. How do I log into QB online using Firefox like I have done for years ? James Fletcher

I saw an other article about the same possible but they had a problem with an extension but I dont have that extension but still have the same problem. Whenever i watch twitch or youtube and i alt tab or switch tabs my audio and video stops playing.

I have the latest version of firefox as of 6/8/23. I want to be able to click on a link and the + sign on the upper left webpage, (next to the tab) to open a new window, not a new tab. I have been able to do this since firefox was invented many years ago, but suddenly the option for that in settings appears to have disappared. When I uncheck the box in the tab section in settings, "open links in tabs instead of new windows", it is still opening links in tabs. Is there a way to stop the link from opening in a new tab, and instead open a window in a new browser any more? If not, I will be sad to switch over a browser that can still do this. Hopefully someone will provide a solution. While many online posts refer to a "options" button, I only see "settings" button (when I click on the three lines in the upper right).

I know there are ways , with more clicks or longer shortcuts to get to some folders but this is the main and most easily accessible way to get to my bookmarks. I know this has been discussed in some older posts but they are all archived so I can't ask any questions there. Sorting by name, for me, is quite inconvenient as sometimes the bookmarks title isn't immediately, easily remembered. Thanks.

I'm running 113.0.2 (64-Bit) on Ubuntu Focal.

I just wanted to log into my bahn.de account, got prompted with a hcaptcha which I correctly answered and then got an "503 Service Unavailable" error. The problem is reproducible each time I try. It was working fine when I last tried about 2 weeks ago. I tried disabling addons and tracking protection, deleted cache + cookies + login data as well as cookie files, reset Firefox - no change. Fun fact: The login is working without issues and interestingly even without captcha showing up in Opera and Epiphany (Gnome web browser).

Any suggestions for debugging would be very much welcome. Any hint on why the hcaptcha shows up in Firefox and not in Opera and Epiphany is much appreciated, too.

A webpage has 1,200 rows.

I do Select All or drag the cursor from the first row to the last row to highlight all of the rows.

I then do Copy.

When I do Paste (using Match Destination Formatting) to paste the copied rows into an empty Excel spreadsheet, only about 65 rows get posted.

What am I doing wrong?

Usually when I start my browser for the first time, I have the Firefox homepage only. For two weeks ago, suddenly an extra tab show up when starting: A page with a commercial for installing "Avast Online Security & Privacy (Add to Firefox-button)".

I use Avast, but I don't want this add-on. And I certainly don't want that extra tab every time I start my pc.

I have three times searched for a solution all over in the Mozilla & Avast settings and on the net: I should go to "Add-ons and themes" - "Extensions" - and on the list "Manage Your Extensions" I should remove this add-on - but it's not there of course, because I didn't install it.

So how do I remove this tab from showing at start-up? (Google Search can't help) Appauling that someone put this tab on my pc in the first place. Both Avast and Mozilla have other ways to communicate with me about that add-on, if needed. Now I had to shut it down every day for two weeks, because I was way too busy to write you until now.

Win 10, FireFox ver 114 just got update on 6/6.

Been using FireFox for years w/o any problems until this latest update.

Ever since, "Twitter.com" and "Tweetdeck.Twitter.com" both have super magnified screens. All other ones are slightly magnified.

I have 5 columns in Tweetdeck that used to show up completely but only 4 show now--see attached. When I log out of Tweetdeck it takes me to a screen that says "Page isn't redirecting properly" and I can't type the URL and get back to a normal screen--instead it takes me back to my already magnified and logged in screen.

How in the heck can I correct this???? It's driving me crazy!

We had a power failure last night. Now i cannot post to Historum (although I can read it). Error message says "Oops! We ran into some problems. Please try again later. More error details may be in the browser console." I've been on this for 2+ hours, have restarted and cannot understand console message.

BUT, Firefox 114.0 has only this: $vars{dir} = 0

Since it appeared that firefox was somehow "merging" the two tags into one, I reversed the order to this to see if the new first var would post. But instead, now this works 100% fine: <input type='hidden' id='fileCount' name='fileCount' value='0'> <input type='hidden' id='dir' name='dir' value='datasets/open/2023-06-07_09:54:40'>

The system is working again. chatAI suggested a few things like updating firefox (I did) , but nothing they suggested worked. Only my reversal worked.

Thoughts?
