I am unable to use passkey with the 150.0 (64-bit) update of firefox. I get a message "The operation is insecure." when trying to create a new passkey and when attempting to use a passkey that has worked for months I now get "Passkey authentication error: The operation is insecure." Unfortunately the same day Microsoft patches were also applied, KB5086096 KB5086097 KB5091596 KB5082417 and KB5083769, 26200.8246 which could also the the problems, but firefox is reporting the error, so I am contacting you. This in on a Windows 11, version 24H2 system.

I was going through my account settings today and noticed that two factor was disabled. I thought this odd as I usually set it up on any account I use, so I of course turned it on and went about linking my authenticator app and generating account recovery codes. Yet in my authenticator app there was already a Mozilla account with my email, but the codes it supplied did not work. I also found old account recovery codes I had written down which did not work either.

What could have happened to cause this? I must have had two factor on sometime in the past and added it to my app and generated recovery codes. How could it have been disabled, the old codes made invalid, and Microsoft authenticator unlinked? Am I looking at an account breach somehow? I have no unusual activity as far as I can tell and no recent data or password breaches. The only thing I can think of was I removed a number of old devices from my account and signed out of them, but I still own the old PC's so no one could be using them.

1: By logging in to my account I am asked to "Enter two-step authentication code"

Upon my knowledge I do not have anything like this. Can I still log in by using my old username and my normal pasword and the be able to sync between my different PCs ?

2: How to sync my EDGE Bookmark list to my Firefox ?

I;m using Firefox and Mozilla services from beginning, since I was child. I noted what MFA is not working, on my both accounts. it was my early guess also since last year but i fought it was my problem. No after resetting and getting notification what password is not correct makes me guess something is off. i might be wrong but looks like internal problem, maybe a breach what no one knows. what can i say from my side, as an IT company director and IT person. i can exclude all my thoughts about my side, since i changed and reinstalled everything on my devies. got fresh OS and hardened every device. problem still exists. maybe someone could check my accounts and internal settings for firefox security on accounts and MFA. since codes are not valid. had to disable mfa on my both accounts.

About a month ago, firefox started requesting i use a "USB key" when logging into hotmail or ebay. i do not have a USB key and have not knowingly selected that as an option. how do i turn that off. i can work around it but its becoming more annoying and seems to be spreading to other secure websites.

Hello, i installed windows again and now I wanted to get firefox again, I want to login and get that Code sended to my email, but after I click on the button where I have to write that code it saya unexpexted error

Hi, please assist. My old Gmail account that I used to login is no longer working when I try to reset password. I don't have a 2FA push code (must have deleted this); however, I tried one of the 2FA backup codes which I do have (ten digit) to sync and access my old account and reset the password, but it is not working. None of the codes are working. Please help me reset and gain access to the account. Can you help me reset the password, and disable 2FA so I can get back in?

Hey, I have a new laptop and want to login to my account. My account is an hotmail.com one. After giving the password Mozilla is suppose to send me an email with an authentification number. The email is not coming. Not in the spam section, anywhere. Tried multiple times, same issue. Add Mozilla to my contact list, nothing changes. Tried to change my Mozilla account email address, not possible as I need to pass through this process again. Is my only option to delete my account and creat a new one with another email address?

i've been having an issue with back ups(not the problem here) but at one point, i changed a secondary account to the main one, and now when i try to log in, and it sends the verification email to my email account, i never get the emails, so i cant log back in, i dont recieve any of them, checked spam, and every folder i have, not only for that email account, but for all the ones i have connected to my mozilla account and i dont have any emails there, how can i fix this

Since yesterday I cannot log in to my hotmail accounts via Mozilla. It keeps coming up with the message "Please retry with a different device or other authentication method to sign in". I select sending a code to an email to try a different way but it doesn't even send the code either so I simply cannot log in

I can log in via Microoft Edge so the issue appears to be with Mozilla but I have no idea what has happened or how to fix it

I love Mozilla so do not want to be forced to use Microsoft Edge :-(

I have tried 4-5 times today unsuccessfully to setup my Firefox browser on my new Mac laptop. Cannot seem to actually receive any emails from Firefox with the verification codes. Have checked my spam filters, no emails sent there. Nothing sent to other email folders. Made sure accounts@firefox is in my address book. Not forwarded to another email address. And have sent test emails to my account associated with my Firefox account. They come thru successfully. But nothing at all from Firefox. Is there an email problem today from the Firefox servers?

I recently switched from Chrome to Firefox. Now when I try to login to a platform, my verification codes to my phone are coming through too slow. What is causing the delay?
