I am still using Win 7 but converting to Win 11. The most recent "patch Tuesday" update from MS killed Office 2016. Since then Fire Fox will occasionally pop up the "Couldn't load XPCOM." (no file extension) warning. It may do this when opened but not always. Can also occur in the midst of a session.

Program seems to be working correctly but some of my pinned locations disappeared when this started. New locations are retained between sessions. Is there a problem with continued operation with this warning? Is there something that I can do to repair it.

I lost a bookmark folder in my main computer. I did a sync and it did not appear. I opened an other older computer and it was still there. I did a sync and expected it to then show up in my main computer, it did not. I went back to the old one, there it had now disappeared. The help files say go to bookmarks, then to manage bookmarks, except I don't have "manage bookmarks", just a list of some recent bookmarks. When I do a " bookmark search" for something which was in the folder, it finds it, so the folder is still somewhere. How do I get it back? Why did sync fail and did not add it from the old computer?

OK, for me, this has always been the 'go to' browser of choice.... until recently...!! I've tried a whole heap of browsers, some open-source derivatives, some based on gecko, you name it, I've tried it.... for Mac and for Windows, although I won't put some of those tripe PC ones on my beloved Mac, and there in lies the problem...!! My Mac Pro is a 17yr old quad which is still quick by today's standard and I run El Capitan as it won't upgrade anymore, running Firefox v78... I don't it to be running the most up to date b'cos I'm not doing anything special to warrant getting t'morrow's browser today.... my problem is.... some of the extension which made this browser run faster have been stopped due to verification issues...!! How did these extensions make to the Add-ons if they were never verified in the first place as they were in use for a while before use was halted...!! Now, I get stupid pop-ups randomly, along with salacious material asking my to join suggestive websites and worse, some of which bounce to 'other' websites when you try to delete them...!! Do you not have ways of verifying these extension before they hit the Add-ons page...?

Hello! I wanted to see if there was a way to have sent tabs be automatically opened on Firefox mobile. Searching "Automatically open sent tabs on Firefox mobile" gives help guides on syncing and not how to automatically open links sent through the feature.

Instead of having to open any number of notifications I would much prefer the tabs automatically populating the tabs browser. I currently send from PC/iOS-mobile to Android-mobile but will be switching to a second iOS-mobile device soon.

why does firefox blocks incoming http conection to localhost:8080 when I try to obtain a google oauth2 token using oauth2.py ?. The Google server returns the token via http to loaclhost:8080 and the port is blocked by firefox.

Increasing "network.http.connection-timeout" setting in Firefox to a big number – say, '9000', does not change the time period after which "The connection has timed out" message appears (the default value is '90'). Changing it to '0' makes this message appear even faster than when using the default value.

Please let me how I can increase timeout to a big number.

In what file does Firefox store information about the icons of added search engines?

(After copying the profile with the search.json.mozlz4 file, search engines added by the user work correctly, but their icons cannot be seen - each search engine is marked with the same icon 'magnifier' - as you can see in the attachment.)

My laptop's motherboard is being replaced. While that process is ongoing, I'm using a spare laptop from my employer. I didn’t realize that resetting my password would delete all of my saved passwords, bookmarks, etc. Will they still be available on the laptop that’s being repaired, since it wasn’t synced with the Firefox servers?

Hello, Thanks for taking your time to help me with an internet page problem. The pages load but when using the cursor to select an option, I must reload the page using the circle with an arrow icon almost every time. Never happened before and it's annoying. Are you aware if there is any reason why firefox seems not to work with https://mycambridge.sso.cambridge.org/ in combination with the google authenticator app. I'd be most grateful for advice, as a longtime firefox devotee, who has to remember to use an alternative browser for this particular combination. Over the past couple of days, Firefox has been crashing almost constantly, with my MacBook sometimes also crashing/restarting. Both Firebox and my MacBook are up to date. I've also used troubleshoot mode and turned off my extensions, which seemed to lower the number of crashes, but it still crashes often. It might not be a problem with Firefox itself and be my laptop though.

Recently I have noticed 'Your browser is being managed by your organization. - That being ImportEnterpriseRoots' appearing in settings. I have seen this mentioned by others but as of yet I cannot see if it has been sorted yet. I have uninstalled and it went away, but it has since returned the following day. I Do not have any other anti-virus on this laptop other than Windows Defender so it cannot be that. I will not be using Firefox as default until this is gone, or at the very least know that its safe.

Ran into an interesting bug with Firefox since installing the macOS26 Dev beta. Whenever I use command space to bring up spotlight, Firefox become unresponsive, the beach ball will spin. It will only happen if Firefox is in focus when I use spotlight, and only if I am signed into Firefox sync.

I am not sure of a way to help replicate this issue as it seems to only happen when signed with Sync, but I would be happy to provide additional if I can.
