5eagle: Is there any possibility that the question 'How do I turn OFF FireFox as Default Browser' could be answered? This thread was archived, without conclusion, it seems cor-el Top 10 Contributor Moderator was/is unwilling/unable to provide a solution/answer [2021 ish]. Like 'Shucks ' I would like to 'Turn OFF FireFox as Default Browser' I did not enable via settings so must have missed the opportunity to deselect when installed. If not possible to turn off please advise and I will uninstall and use another. 05 June 2023.

Just recently been experiencing the 400 Bad Request error on Kick.com (a live streaming platform) for about a couple hours now. Never had any issues prior.

Was informed that this same issue is happening on other browsers and the only solution is a "quick fix" (clear site cookies) which only works for literally a second. When the page is reloaded the error message pops back up.

I'm running Firefox 113.02 on Windows 10 22H2 OS Build 19045.2965 on an older HP Laptop.

In trying to resolve an issue with another app, their help desk suggested that I needed to start Firefox fresh with a new profile, that the profile I was using might be causing the problem. My first step was to save and rename the profile that I was using before proceeding, then I proceeded as instructed. I don't know how to revert to the old, saved profile. Articles that I've read discussed too many variables confusing me ; so I'm here to ask help from the community.

The reason that I want to revert is because I lost add-ons that made my browsing life better. I failed to make a note of those add-ons, some of which I've been using for so long that I've lost awareness of them. Bookmarks have also been scrambled and lost. If it matters, I've run Firefox today using the new profile that is missing things I want and need. If browsing today added anything to the profile I will happily do without it to get my old profile settings and pointers back.

I can see the profile that I renamed and saved when I enter about:profiles. I also see several other profiles. I infer that the last profile in the list is the current and default profile, but I'm not certain; so maybe that question should be my second. My first question is can I revert to the old profile? When I see the old, renamed and saved profile, it does not appear with a button to make it the default.

From what I've read, my understanding is that I have to make the saved profile the active and/or default profile so that it will be used by Firefox each time Firefox is reloaded. Do I also have to rename it?

Help will be greatly appreciated and gratefully received.

I add to reinstall windows, and every software including firefox.

Previously I checked that my datas were proprely sync.

I just finished the firefox installation, but the sync does not find any of my previous datas... T.T

Any idea please ?

I am on a unstable internet connection and while trying to download a large file it gets often interrupted. By default Firefox deletes the .part file and I am forced to again download from zero. Is there a config that I could change so Firefox keeps .part files so I could continue resuming the interrupted download?

I just installed Firefox on my Mac and log in on the account. On new windows device it was always downloading all the addons and importing settings etc.

On Mac I just logged in and nothing happend. Like no any import was made. No any add-on was installed automatically.

Do I have to install everything manually?

I've just noticed whilst writing a blog on wordpress that my firefox built in spellchecker is no longer working. It no longer works on wordpress. It no longer works on any other page, including this one. Here is an example sdhflakshfldfjl - included in the files below. Thanks in advance.

After I boot my system I am not able to open Firefox as it complains about an open instance. After around half a minute the file disappears on its own.

Deleting the lock file manually works for starting firefox, but seems to sometimes delete my cookies as well.

The issue is not reproducible by just logging out and in again.

When opening Firefox for the first time after turning system on for the day, Firefox has for some reason opening a separate window With this address: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/avg-online-security/?src=external-app-newtab-store I do use AVG as my anti-viral program but am not interested in using this add-on. One of the main reasons I use Firefox is the ability to enter the address bar and press "Tab" to go to the next option instead of pressing the down arrow like in some other browsers. The problem I'm encountering is when I want to get to something further down the list, it's all of the sudden tabbing to this little 3 dot menu that has "Remove from history" and "Learn More".

I use this feature a lot to visit past pages for researching, so I'm wondering is this 3 dot menu new? Is there a way to disable it? I've attached a screenshot to hopefully more clearly describe what I'm talking about.

I may be misunderstanding the nature of syncing here but my question is this:- I have 3 devices that at various times in the past have been synced but no longer are. Now I want to sync them all again but I want the information that is on my PC, I'll call this the primary device, to by synced to the other two. In other words, I don't want to loose any of the tabs, passwords or bookmarks on this primary computer and I what them transferred to the other two. So, how do I set my PC as primary device? Hi, I just want to ask why every time I used Firefox browser on my PC then open my Task manager the Firefox in processes tab have 10 more counts even I didn't open any website and add tab. Please kindly check my screenshot. Hope to get feedback on your team. Thanks..

Since Ebay changed their format for auction ads the photos that are part of the ads open as faint negatives that can barely be seen. However, if you right click on one and save to a new tab they are fine.

Google searched stopped working in Firefox version 113.0.2. I have tried all the fixes suggested and nothing has worked. Any other suggestions or do I just stop using Firefox?
