bold text'I am so fed up with these updates loosing my passwords and data, why ? All my settings are messed up and last time it took two weeks to get everything back, why? I give up total idiots for releasing updates that are sub par!

Recently when starting the browser I've seen that Microsoft Defender blocks requests to one of my homepage shortcuts, due to it finding the URL suspicious. My question is as the title suggests: does Firefox ping the URLs or fetch metadata of said domains automatically/in the background to update the icons, website title, etc? It is always suspicious to find Microsoft Defender stating it blocks request to websites I haven't accessed in a while. So I'm trying to deduce if it is a feature and not a ghost in the wires...

My home desktop computer is asking for a network login to access the internet today, after FireFox crashed. I do not see anywhere to login. Please help. I have a Mini Mac. I am at a library as my internet is not working.

My Bookmarks and History are completely gone. I tried the recommended procedure to restore them from a back-up, but the supposedly automatic back-up files are completely empty. I have no idea how this might have happened. I have tried disabling some of my anti-virus apps to no avail. The only thing I can think of is that I may inadvertantly erased them when I ran a CCleaner scan. I could really use some help here!

Why was it done? Is there a setting I can change so I can see them work as animated favicons? Will you change this on your next update? Otherwise, I am going to have to roll-back the version.

When I try to full screen any streaming site on Firefox I can see the desktop on the edges, the video isn't fully centered on the screen. I have tried updating Firefox, my drivers, restarting my computer and even checking to make sure the resolution and aspect ration were good. Is there maybe an issue or bug I can try and resetting with a setting on the browser?

I had to install a new OS disk. So, I created an account, and made a synchronization. Then, I made a security backup. When I installed the SO and Firefox, I logged in to sync. As soon as I logged, it automatically started to sync the random tiles it had after install. So, I had to use the places.sqlite and favicon.sqlite files. It got me half the tiles, and even those were misplaced. So, I had to go for the security html, and I finally got everything I wanted. But, now it says the account is not associated. If I login to associate it, when I shut down the PC, it returns to those half tiles, and out of order.

How can I get this right?

If I delete my history of the websites I go on or delete my emails in which I use Yahoo and Gmail is there a way to save them in case I need some information from them in the future? Another words, they may be deleted in my history and I delete my emails in which i delete them also from my trash folder can I store them someone else that will let me see them in the future? Thanks

I cannot find a date associated with the history entry, I can search and the site link is shown but not date. I can sort by date but no dates are shown. Where is the date I visited the site?

ホームページにヤフージャパン以外にいくつかのページを設定しています。 ヤフーを見ているときにホームボタンでトップページにもどると他のタグのページも全てまた新しく立ち上がってどんどんタグが増えてしまいます。 見ているページだけ初期化する設定に出来ませんか。 Microsoft　edgeは出来たのですが、出来ればfirefoxに乗り換えたいです。

I find a website I like, I add to bookmarks, chose a location, add some tags and save.

Next I look for bookmark to verify it saved and it is not in folder it was saved into.

I open Bookmarks and search for this newly created bookmark and it is not in the correct location, it is in another folder, or past the folder in a tree that is not seen under the drop-down up under address bar, only through searching via Bookmarks. After I searched and I had found it, I chose open in folder, saw its position and dragged it to the folder and position I wanted it to be, then close the search, use the drop down folders in bookmark bar and not there. ??

Go back to Bookmark search, find it and it is shown to be where I last dragged it, but it is not there unless I search for it.

So not sure what is going on with bookmarks, but after saving they are not saved where I directed them to save and I am losing my bookmarks to some void in my bookmark manager.

After running updates and restarting my computer, I am no longer able to open my common websites used frequently. I don't know how to fix this problem. The search bar runs until it times out.

My Firefox sometimes freezes in the evenings when using AOL Mail and Facebook. I put this down to my old and slow PC. But I now have a brand new PC working on Windows 11 and all seemed fine, but it happened again this evening. I then logged into Facebook using MS Edge and it was working fine.
