Always when want to use the Website "Weather.com" my tab brakes down with the announcment" Der Tab ist gerade abgestürzt" which means: the tab just crashed. I do not know why this happens. Does anybody has a suggestion what I can do? I use a MacBook pro from 2015 with OS 12.7.1 and Firefox 120.0.1 Thanks so far Tobias

I turned off my Mac Mini 2 last night, February 7, and when I turned it on this morning, all my Firefox bookmarks were gone.

Everything else is fine (Chrome bookmarks, which are different from those in Firefox, remain intact). And yes, I should have known better, but since when a Firefox update deletes all bookmarks?

I'm guessing that is the reason, because everything else is intact.

Any suggestions as to whether there is ANY way to recover them?

I use Firefox for Mac. Often when I want to click on a link or complete an on-line form, a long list of unwanted suggestions pops up and orevents me doing this. Only by hitting Escape can I get control back.

By the way, I don't want any solution which involves clearing the cache, as I value that help.

My saved passwords are not showing up. I followed the advice on this post, by setting signon.debug and doing about:logins. Here are the errors shown in the console:

Duplicate tab closer closed all tabs that weren't loaded into memory, so how may I restore tabs across all tab groups that were closed as now showing 0 ZERO tabs open in most tab groups!?

Last update disabled picture in picture mode -- on top of full scree applications.

Please advise how to correct / adjust. This feature is vital to my work.

Is it possible for a big tech company like Apple to release a web platform that is not compatible with Firefox? Firefox is not supported by Apple School Manager (https://school.apple.com) i.e. a web platform designed for educational institutions (PA). Is it legal? Is it possible to make a claim to EU institutions? Thank you

I set up a Primary Password, but I can easily get around it by clicking 'cancel' then clicking 'home' icon. then I can get into ANY of the links. For others who have access to my computer NOT having that access is Exactly why I set up Primary password in the first place. Surely there must be a way to fix this???? haas2128@comcast.net Thanks. Firefox version 122.0 Mac: Sonoma 14.1.1 apple silicon

The problem emerged about a little over a year ago (around September 2022). It started with an installation of firefox on another machine running BigSur, and I guess the problem got ported when I restored a time machine backup on this current machine. I attempted to troubleshoot the issue by following mozilla support and reddit threads but to no avail. I, at the time, settled on monthly time machine backups, but now finally decided to address it properly.

Troubleshooting steps that I have followed:

• going into the about:config page and changing the places.history.expiration.max_pages and places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages to 2147483647 then to 999999 after reading about how a value too high might be ignored (both values didn't seem to change anything)
• going into the about:config page and changing the places.history.expiration.transient_optimal_database_size to 85534800
• removing the add-on/extension manager as seeing that it might remove history for some reason (from a [thread] by IceTemple)
• In the privacy and security tab, history is set to Firefox will use custom settings for history

Things I suspect might be the problem:

• I originally used the Chinese version of firefox (downloaded from the .cn website) and reinstalled the international version (from .com) after getting annoyed by the built-in ads. For convenience sake, I ported the profile folder over which might have carry the problem over. That being said, I don't think this problem existed when I just started using firefox but appeared awhile later.
• result of an update, don't know which though
• certain extensions (I haven't went through them individually since I installed a lot)

My questions:

1. How to stop Firefox from doing this ever again?
2. Alternatives of storing history if nothing works
3. Why did my troubleshooting steps not work? Is there something wrong with my version of firefox that prevented the about:config changes from working?
4. If I have to resort to backing up the places.sqlite history file, how do I restore/reintegrate them with current history file?

Before updating Firefox to 123.0.1 (64-bit) + MacOS Sonoma, I could use FIDO2 on OnlyKey and login to my proton mail. Now, however something has changed on Firefox that I get presented with two prompts to touch my usb key, but the key itself doesn't respond to the second prompt and login fails.

I first get this prompt as before. I select 'Authenticate' and would be presented with the second picture. Since my key is not expecting to be touched, nothing happens when I touch it and login fails with the message displayed in the last picture.

I had several windows open each with different tabs in them.

I shut down them down and switched off my Mac.

On restarting my Mac, one of the windows had disappeared from the restore session. I've checked my History but the tabs don't appear there.

I'm using the latest version of FF on a Mac Air M2

Please advise.

Have I been hacked?? Restore Session not even avail on Menu bar. No computer crash or electric failure in last 24 hrs, but not a single one of my tabs are still open on my browser (30+) and no tab/page option as usual asking if I want to Restore my Session. What the !*& happened to my months of tabs? I do/did have the correct settings selected for Tabs to be restored. Oh MY GOD --this is a complete nightmare!! I'm the only user on this home desktop Mac. About a month ago Firefox started giving me BAD REQUEST for URLs generated by the MLS system all of us realtors use.

This URL works fine in Safari, but not in Firefox any longer. What has happened and how/when will this be resolved? JPaul

Is there a way for me to retrieve my bookmarks? They have followed me through several macbooks, and reinstallations and this is the first time they've gone missing.

I have created a WordPress Website and some of the images are not showing on the FireFox browser. There is no problems on Chrome or Safari browsers. The first image is a screen shot from the Chrome Browser of a section on my website, the second image is a screen shot of the same section but from FireFox Browers. Can you help fix this problem?

Hi all, I did search the key word Outlook but did not see a helpful reply. I used my extension to clear the cache, did not help. I even call the help desk at work, they suggested Chrome and i was able to log on. I already have to use Chrome for Netflix, i don't want to have to move to another browser. I have Mozilla VPN but it is not on all the time. Please advise. thanks, E
