You can't change Firefox keybinds from within settings. Please can someone direct me to a resource that details each step in achieving this, without need to install an extension. Currently "Ctrl + Win + Left Arrow/Right Arrow" moves between tabs for me, however I use vertical tabs, so would like to use "Ctrl + Win + Up Arrow/Down Arrow" instead.

I want to remove the top toolbar. I actually use the plug-in called “New windows without toolbar” for this, but I have to activate this plug-in by clicking on it every time. I want the toolbar to not appear at all when Firefox first opens, how can I achieve this?

Hi, I got a new laptop recently and ever since then I've been experiencing this problem. Websites like https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com or https://ukutabs.com offer the option to autoscroll, so that you can play your instrument without having to pause your playing and scroll further yourself. This feature hasn't been working for me ever since I got my new device and since it's various sites, I suppose the problem must be in the browser itself, I just can't figure it out. In the case of Ultimate Guitar, when I click autoscroll, it does move slightly, once, but then stops again, and you'd miss the movement if you're not paying close attention. I can switch between various speeds on this site as well, but it doesn't do anything. In case of Ukutabs, there's not even any kind of response from the site when I click the option. I tried turning on and off Firefox settings concerning autoscrolling and smooth scrolling, but nothing solved my problem.

How do I stop Fox News videos from automatically popping up in a small lower right window? I’m using a DuckDuckGo browser, MacBook Pro laptop with Sonoma 14.2.1 operating system. I’m not very techy so need a solution I can understand and implement.

why do my add-ons keep getting disabled?

ff keeps disabling add-ons that i have used for years and even keep a v. 5 to use the older add-ons and use the latest ff developer to use w/ more modern websites. ff even disables add-ons that worked perfectly well in ff developer and does not even give me the opportunity to re-enable them like i could before.

is there any way to force my old version to let ME decide what i want disabled/enabled?

Ever since I loaded 120.0.1 (64 bit) I have had problems accessing numerous sites. For example, https//HOn30.org. FIrst I get several "Having trouble ..." messages, and when it does come up it's a blank screen. I have had this happen wtih Library of Congree, eBay, and most sites from linking within another web site. I have tried playing with the "HTTPS mode" and the "DNS over HTTPS" to no avail. What changed with this version and how do I fix it. Win10 Sp1 64bit Dual Xeon E5 CPUs 128gb RAM nVidia Quadro K5200 w/8gb VRAM C: = 1tb CT1024 SSD (Crucial) D: = 2tb 7200 rpm WD E: = 5tb SSD (Samsung) F: = 1.5tb Seagate (can you tell I used to be tech support?) _1. Go to Firefox SETTINGS __

_2. From SETTINGS, click on SEARCH __

_3. Attached snippets / screenshots show nice shortcut to toggle on-off auxiliary Search Bar on the Toolbar. Version 121.0.1 has the shortcut. Version 122.0 does not have the shortcut. __

_4. Please issue an update that will restore this shortcut. __

_5. FYI, I did figure out that you can navigate to SETTINGS, MORE TOOLS, CUSTOMIZE TOOLBAR, and FIND in order to add or remove the auxiliary Search Bar on the Toolbar. But the shortcut in illustrated in the screenshot of Version 121.0.1 was so much simpler!

I noticed that after the recent updates, the pop-up notification for blocked pop-ups has changed from yellow to white.. This makes it very difficult to see and I almost missed it. Is there a way to revert this change using userChrome.css?

I don't understand why this unnecessary change was made. I already have my own userChrome style for the entire Firefox because it was frustrating to constantly change it back after each update.

I would appreciate any information on how to revert this change.

As the title says when I am using the video player on Coursera website I am not able to hide the control bar while on fullscreen mode (even if I don t move my mouse for more than 15 seconds). I ve attached a screenshot with the control bar being displayed. (also the captions are overlapping with that control bar) I ve also tried different ways of opening the fullscreen mode (click on the "Full Screen" button or by pressing 'F'). I don t have this problem on websites like YouTube.

Amazon search has disappeared from browser and not included in list of search engines. I want amazon.uk not U.S. and I do not know where about:config is.

Can anyone help me out and others on this matter? several months ago appears FB decided to screw everyone over by arbitrarily forcing auto refresh. If you're reading something long and or have to step away for a moment it is gone.

Some have posted for chrome they have an extension that stopped it. The only one on FF does not work. I tried it, does nothing at all. Time for FF to fix this issues allowing you to turn it on or off at my will.

Yes, I know addons exist for it but many work places don't allow installing addons, security wise they can be a concern and these addons have poor UI/UX. I am genuinely considering using Edge over Firefox due to them having better tab groups which I never though I would say. Please implement a simple tab folder, literally just what current Edge has. It is a very useful basic feature and I would really love to have it included in my favorite browser I have been using for over a decade. Thank you.

Preferences in user.js are added permanently to prefs.js and persist even after user.js is deleted. What if you want to specify preferences in a file, just like with user.js, but you don't want them to be made permanent? In other words, so that when the file is deleted, the prefs will be forgotten. Is there any way to do this?

I've been encountering a persistent error with Firefox, and I'm hoping someone here might have a solution. Whenever I try to open Firefox, I keep getting an error message that says "Secure Connection Failed" for certain websites. It's really frustrating because it's preventing me from accessing important sites. I've tried clearing my cache and cookies, but the issue persists. i've been in touch with you about an issue playing pogo games & need help please. The 1st firefox version I had worked great but changes have been made since then-I don't believe I was using enhanced protection control. The card games are not flipping correctly, some games are slow in moving pieces in a puzzle. Could someone advise me on what can be done? Thanks!

As the subject says, i cannot remove the up and down arrows from forms that have a numerical input even though autofill/history options are cleared and disabled. I've even tried deleting cookies, cache, site data and so on, to no avail. I've also tried a clean terminal with no extensions installed and i have the same issue. Other browsers do not have this issue on the exact same form. I am at a loss, any assistance would be appreciated.

I am looking for the widget.windows.window_occlusion_tracking.enabled preference setting on Linux. I was wondering if this setting was available on Linux? I have seen it on Windows. I was also wondering when this setting was introduced and if it is still active in the latest version of Firefox.

A couple of weeks ago, a message came from Firefox saying - do I want the facility of opening a Firefox window on starting it? I thought that would be a confirmation of my existing setting of opening Firefox with the previous tabs. But no. Firefox now opens a separate blank window in addition to the previous window with the tabs.

How can I stop the opening of an additional blank window, which I now have to delete everytime? Thank you
