I am constantly frustrated by unresponsive pages / script warnings etc using Firefox. This never used to happen on previous builds -- I am using the latest 86.0 -- but these occur so often that I am about to say goodbye to Firefox. This does not happen when I am using Chrome and other browsers.

I have been through all of the suggested steps to deal with these unresponsive script/page issues, and none has worked.

Would appreciate any help on this, but as I say I am about to leave Firefox at this point for Chrome and other browsers.

My print preview is no longer available, and the new one is too small to see what's on the page. It's useless! Also, simplify page is gone (I understand "Reader View") is the work-around. Also, it's many extra clicks to get to my system print controls to print properly.

Solving the print preview too small would go a long way towards keeping Firefox usable. The other things could certainly use fixing, however.

Hi all,

I have a issue with firefox, when i browse through sites i noticed a popping sound through my laptop speakers. I noticed this for a long time now and i thought it was driver related so i updated my drivers but the popping didn't go away. I tested the edge browser in windows 10 and did swap through the same sites as i did in firefox and that browser does not create popping noices.

Is there a fix for it ?

Just after the most recent FF update I noticed , from time-to-time, that when I print FF is using the FF printer mode instead of the default Adobe Acrobat printer mode. It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens. My options screen still shows Adobe as the default printer mode. So, I don't understand why this is happening. I look forward to anyone's comments. I just tried to print a list for the browser on Firefox and the new print options are useless. I use to be able to simplify, change background and have more options. This looks like the printing options on Microsoft Edge. I started using Firefox to get away from that. I mean if your going to mimic edge then why not use that browser instead??? Stop changing things. You update every 5 minutes and then it crashes, is to slow or just doesn't work. Slow the hell down and remember people like Firefox because it isn't like the big companies out there. It's a good browser. Leave it alone.

The push notifications from allowed sites are enabled in the privacy and security settings, but the little box that's supposed to pop up isn't popping up. I depend on these quite a bit on YouTube, so I need them to work. Any ideas on what might be blocking them? If you could give me a list of things to try, I'd be very grateful. Thanks in advance!

hello there and good evening:3 my husband and i are having this repetitive and extremely frequent bright yellow pop up with a robot that states "a webpage might be slowing down your browser." then the option to wait, or stop it. i've ran out of patience with this notification to the point to where even though i'de hate to, i would have no choice but to switch back to chrome just to stop being spammed by this pop up while im trying to relax. it happens more frequently on youtube and walmart.com, and i just want it to stop because it seems as if when it does show up, once it starts it never stops, and it actually slows down my webpage to the point of becoming unresponsive and stalling/crashing my only webpage open at the time. my husband has the same issue and we both use windows desktop. it only started appearing after the latest update. please, can someone help me make this thing go away? its very stressful and i cant browse in peace anymore on firefox. yes we have turned off all background processes, and we both have scowered settings troubleshooting for hours at a time to no avail, it just never stops and it behaving like a really bad bug.

All of a sudden I am getting an icon in the Facebook URL re: cross site cookies. When I click on it, it says permission granted. I never approved this. How do I get rid of it please?

Hello, is there a way to turn off the new print function. I want my print program to open and not a complicated print program that cannot be used by us. Since this new setting, we can no longer print properly and have to do all print jobs with a screen print.

Hello, im a web developer and have come accross a problem which only occurs in the firefox browser.

When i design a website, i use the www version of it always, and have redircts for all other instances, eg; mydomain.co.uk > https://www.mydomain.co.uk http://www.mydomain.co.uk > https://www.mydomain.co.uk https://mydomain.co.uk > https://www.mydomain.co.uk

So they all end up at the secure www version of the website. This is done in the .htaccess file and works great in Chrome, Edge, Explorer etc just not firefox.

What can you do about it?

The issue is most likely with the web site, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the web site’s administrator about the problem.

Ignoring it then procceeds to the full https://www. but that warning screen will be enough to put potential visitors off no doubt.

Is there an "easy fix" for this or is the only way to solve the problem to use up more SAN's and double up on www and non-www versions of each website?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm running Mojave 10.14.6 on a MacMini (late 2018) with 64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 and Firefox v86.0 64-bit.

I need to disable Command+D that's currently used to "Bookmark This Page".

I need Command+D for another use.

I've searched about:config for "bookmark" and get a lot of hits, but I can't tell which one controls the setting for Command+D.

Or . . . am I barking up the wrong tree?

I want to disable Command+D.

Leaving the ability to mouse up and click Bookmarks > "Bookmark This Page" is ok.

I just need to disable the keyboard shortcut Command+D for "Bookmark This Page".

Anyone got a "howto" for this?

I set my primary password yesterday since I was leaving my laptop with a service person. Today, Firefox tells me the password is incorrect. I am entirely confident I know what I intended the password to be, and it seems wholly unrealistic that I made the same typo twice in one entry, yet I've trial and errored almost every possible typo I can think would cause this. I am really not sure what to do now, all my accounts are locked behind a password that is not the one I set less than 24 hours ago. What can I do?

I have many tabs like 200-300. Firefox crashed today. I also have 4GB page file on top of that. Strange! After I restarted Firefox it was using only 6.8GB RAM. Perhaps memory leak. BTW if I have browser.cache.disk.enable set to false. Is page file still used?

Hi a lot of websites I visit are not displaying the font correctly when using firefox. I have set "Allow Web Sites To Choose Their Own" already in the preferences. See image below for example. It's happening a lot at the moment . I have updated to latest Firefox and Mac OS is latest. Pages are fine when viewed in Chrome. Help please! Cheers- Vince

When I try to open a word document from a website via firefox it will not open. Constantly gives me an error message. Been in touch with microsoft word and its not an issue on their side.

I can open the documents via microsoft edge but not fire fox.

Hello everyone, I recently just restarted and re-downloaded the new Firefox update but for some reason none of my bookmarks, passwords, tabs, history, or anything was saved. It basically wiped my Firefox clean and i don't know how to get everything back. Anyone know what I should do? Appreciate the help! Thanks.

Hi Guys 'n Gals, As of today, I am unable to log into the Australian Tax office Business Portal or Business Services (BETA) through MyGov using Firefox browser. I can log in through Edge, no problem to both. I've cleared histories, cache etc on Firefox, and it is up to date. I've logged out, and logged back in. When I attempt to enter the email address to log on to ATO using Firefox, I can type the address as far as ".com". The moment I type ".", I lose the entire address, except for the ".". I don't get to the "com.au" part at all. I've contacted the ATO, they have no updates at all regarding issues with Firefox. We are getting close to Plan C (Sledge Hammer LOL). Any and all help gratefully accepted, I do not like edge....... Thank you Trina

What is throwing me is that when I visit https://bugzilla.mozilla.org I am prompted for my Primary PW, and FF autofills the login form with my old FF support account credentials, indicating that the old support account and the bugzilla page are recognised by FF as being linked?

So before I try logging into https://bugzilla.mozilla.org with either the auto-filled old FF support credentials, or my newer FF Account credentials, does this page come under your FF Account umbrella? Thanks.
