All day today, as soon as I try to access Pogo.com, FireFox crashes before the page can even finish loading.
I've turned off hardware acceleration; turned off Flash's protected mode; cleared my browser, Java, and Flash caches. I used FireFox in Safe Mode and it STILL crashed instantly.
It's crashed dozens of times in only a couple of hours, and only when I access Pogo.com. I could access the site perfectly fine even as recently as four hours ago and I didn't change anything on my end before the crashing started.
Here's the crash details copied from one of the last crashes: http://pastebin.com/Hf2Wu6tB

I'm using Firefox 50.1.0 on a Windows 10 Home edition laptop version 10.0.14393 Build 14393. I have Flash 24,0,0,186 installed and Java 8 update 111. I noticed Firefox being slow on a lot of video sites (other than youtube). I have done everything I can think of from uninstalling Firefox, doing the refresh firefox thing, using the profile manager thing to delete my profile and make a new one. I deleted all firefox folders I could find with my profile data in it and reinstalled firefox.... nothing has helped. My problems are... 1. I get that annoying spinning circle thing. 2. When I try cycling tabs using the Ctrl + tab option it looks different. I don't like it. 3. Google maps will load, but when I click the icon to get directions from Point A to Point B and hit enter it never loads any results. (works fine in IE 11 I just checked)
I'm not sure what the problem is, but Firefox doesn't seem near as fast as it used to. My computer works fine when not using it, like everything else seems normal. But when using Firefox lately it's just slow/laggy/annoying.
I know Firefox doesn't normally behave this way though. I also notice under task manager everytime I open firefox it has 2 listed. For example when I open task manager and click the processes tab firefox is listed under the apps section once using 130mb, and then listed under background processes once using 207mb. Or if I click details it's also listed twice One PID is 6428 and the other is 2632. One is using 126K and the other one is at 181K. I know the two processes may be normal because I am aware it may be using one of them for sandboxing or whatever? My laptop has 8gb of ram so I know that's not the issue. Like I said all of the other applications seem to be working like they normally do. Just currently not firefox ): I really dislike IE, always have, and have always liked firefox ever since I knew it existed, so it'd be great if someone could help me fix it. I know the issue may not be firefox itself, but maybe something it's using? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling flash along with java, but that hasn't helped. Please see the pictures I attached, thank you to those for taking their time to help people like me haha! Note: Yes I have tried clearing cookies, cache, etc. it didn't help. I'm also fine with providing any needed logs to assist in troubleshooting. Just tell me where to locate them or what commands to use to get to them. I know firefox has menu things that tell about it's settings and whatnot but I'm not sure how to get to them.
I have tried all the suggestions to fix the slowness and crashing and nothing is helping. What should I do?

Starting last week, Firefox has not been working very well. It has been very slow, it takes a long time to load, and it freezes constantly.
I made sure that I updated Firefox, I have refreshed several times, and I have made sure that all of my plug-ins are up-to-date. I have even run both Malwarebytes and my anti-virus software to no avail. Nothing came up as far as the virus scans go. :-(

When I save some bookmarks, I add a remark about the site or a hint about the password. I would like to extract a simple sortable list of all the bookmark names so that I can sort and list and take it with me when travelling, print it, etc. The more sophisticated bookmark programs aren't suitable for my purposes.

According to Firefox's keyboard shortcuts page, Ctrl-F opens the search, and Esc closes it. I am working on some autohotkey scripts, for some of my colleagues, so it would be helpful to find text in a document and then shift the focus onto the selected text on the page. But once the search box is opened, it cannot be closed by Esc (as described). Ctrl-F doesn't close the search bar or toggle search bar focus. (Ctrl-F only brings the search bar back into focus, but won't toggle off the focus.) Ctrl-Shift-F doesn't either. The only way I've found to get focus out of the search bar is by using Ctrl-L and similar techniques, which lose the location of the selected text on the page.
I have tested this on multiple pages including Youtube and Google, and the behavior is always the same
Since Esc is described as closing the search bar, and it doesn't, I'm pretty sure this is a bug. I'm using Firefox version 50.1.0.

I'm using Firefox V53.0.3 (32 bit) on a Windows 10 laptop (V 1607, Build 14939.1198).
Firefox will start to slow down in page scrolling, hang and then crashes when one the following is perform:
1. Play any video in Facebook.
Video loading is almost always stuttering even when Internet speed is normal. During buffering, Firefox will slow in responding to page scrolling, then hang for less than a minute before shut down itself.
Sometime it asked about sending a crash report, while sometime it said it was unable to create one.
2. Plain browsing and scrolling down certain websites like Facebook (no watching any video) and 9gag.
When browse and scroll extensively, with the right scrolling bar minimized to the smallest size and reached almost the bottom of the column, loading becomes slows down even when internet speed is normal. Firefox will then behave as describe in (1).
P/S: Situation (1) and (2) cannot be reproduced in Youtube and Twitter, respectively.
P/S/S: Have installed and been using the same Firefox browser for years, the problems only developed recently.
I tried refresh and reset Firefox, but it won't helped.
Pls advice. Thanks.

Hi, I don't know if it's a firefox bug, or maybe a change made recently (in the CORS code) cuz firefox keeps complaining about the request being blocked (and I don't remember this happening, I remember the content of the file being displayed in the site, a json translation file, some months ago):

3 days ago, a webpage came up from Firefox for browsing security or something. So I clicked on ok for the added protection. Now, I can't search anything, no matter who or what it is. I tried different search engines with same results. Each time I try to search something, I get a message unable to connect or unavailable. I can do everything else except search, I get the same result when clicking a link on someone or something. I can't remember the full message I get since I am at work. Couldn't find this site to ask my question at home. I found this doing a search here at work. So what do I do? If resetting Firefox is the answer, will I lose my bookmarks?

I have been on the about config page where you are supposed to search for browser.pagethumbnails.capturing_disabled’ but it does not exist in mine to change from false to true, on my aboutconfig it says ' browser.pagethumbnails.storage_version' user set integer 3. My computer had to be cleaned up and all browsers were set back. Previously I managed to do the about config and change it to true, but as you can see it does not exist? Please help me with what I can do to get rid of the thumbnails. I only want Google.co.uk to appear on all the new tabs without all the thumbnails. I have added the add-on to get google on every page, but cannot get rid of the thumbnails. I would send you a screen shot of the about config page except that it can only be a jpg and not a word doc with the screenshot.

Hello, The problem of Firefox hanging and then crashing began when my Hotmail email account got switched over to Outlook.com. Yes I experienced a couple of hangs and crashes before that, but NOT almost everyday and multiple times a day and it has gotten worse ever since!!! At first it only affected my Hotmail email account. Now it is affecting my one Yahoo email account, and my one aol.com email account and it also affects many websites I visit!! Some websites that it affect: Facebook.com, NFL.com, Yahoo.com, YouTube.com, and others. It also affects my free desktop music streaming service through Spotify. It does NOT affect my mom's email account, nor my dad's email account, nor my one other Yahoo email account.
What have I done to try and remedy this problem? I have tried: Clearing web browser cache, clearing computer cache, clearing browser history, clearing cookies, restarting Firefox in "safe" mode, restarting Firefox with all add-ons as "never activate", disabling add-ons one by one to see which one causes the hangs and crashes, I scanned for: Viruses, Malware, and spyware nothing showed up except for cookies, and I have tried using other web browsers to check and see if it was my Hotmail or Yahoo email accounts. But none of that had any affect, except switching to a different web browser.
I do not know if is: 1) my soon to be 10 year old computer; due to age and/or out dated software/operating system etc. 2) Adobe Flash; due to corrupted files or something else, because flash keeps crashing. 3) something that causes a "bad" interaction between Hotmail, Firefox, and other websites/web related programs. 4) there is Malware, Spyware, and/or a Virus that my Security programs have been unable to pick up. 5) Something I have not thought about as of yet.
This could all be a moot point in a few weeks. Why? Because in about 2 to 3 weeks I hope to be able to order the parts for a new computer build. But I would like to figure what is causing this problem so I can either fix it, learn how to deal with it by minimizing its affects, or be able to fix it if/or when it happens on my new computer.
As far as I know of all my programs and add-ons, except 2 add-ons, are up to date.
And of course, it just hanged several times for a total of about 1 to 2 minute maybe 3 minutes! Seemed like 5 to 10! LOL

I'm using Firefox 50.1.0 and Windows 7 Professional SP1. When I click on the firefox icon, it starts a process that shows up as firefox.exe*32 in task manager, but no firefox window opens. I tried many of the suggested fixes for this problem on this forum, but none help. I tried:
1. Kill firefox.exe*32 process. Click on firefox icon. No window opens.
2. Uninstall firefox, delete folder AppData\Roaming\Mozilla, install firefox. The first time I click the firefox icon, it opens normally. But after I close it and click the icon again, the problem occurs again (process starts, but no window).
3. I disabled my antivirus and firewall SW (Symantec). No difference.
This seems to be a very common problem, judging from the many postings on this forum on it, and the many suggestions. But none of them appear to work for me. Can anyone give a definitive fix for this? It would be very much appreciated.
