I've reinstalled my Windows and once I logged into Firefox and synced my data, I got the wrong bookmarks from years ago, most stuff are of my brother. I tried restoring them, but I only got the date of today which is completly empty. My history looks right, so I guess this is the right account. They're really important, what do I do?

What is going on with the Bookmarks function continuously duplicating? I've used the add-in tool (Love It!), but my bookmarks keep duplicating! What is going on & are you going to fix it? I use Mozilla Firefox exclusively as I don't like or trust Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. Would REALY like to get this problem corrected!

I just got some message saying that my Firefox version needed to be updated and by hastily taping on the ok button I did it without noticing that it had done it to a newer version no longer supported by my Mac OS.

I wanted to go back to the most recent version still supported by El Capitan 10.11.6, so I installed again the 78.10.0ESR and now all my browsing history from many years back is gone.

Could you please help me getting my history back?

Going through internet through several hours didn't bring any good solution to my problem.

I want to add the Bookmarks to my Browser page. The schematic says I need to press the Toolbar button, but on my latest version of Firefox there is no Toolbar button. Then I have another problem with your instructions. I had to Download something called Filelink. It directed me the Preference section on my menu under More Tools. Accept there is no such thing on my version of Firefox. I have to send a video of about 54 seconds to someone via Thunderbird email, so need to know how I'm going to do it.

Is there a way to delete a bookmark from the book-mark drop-down window (accessed from triple horizontal bar/right side of browser) but retain the same book-mark that had been saved in a folder created in Other Bookmarks? I discovered that when you delete a book-mark entry from drop down menu, the same entry is also deleted from its saved location in Other Book Marks. I was trying to reduce number of unsorted entries in drop down menu while saving (and retaining) the same link in the Other Bookmarks section and folder. I want to continue using the sorting and discrete folder saving possible with the Other Bookmark section but clean up the clutter in the unsorted bookmark section.

I reset my Mac and thought Firefox would keep all my bookmarks for when I would reinstall Firefox and synchronize all my bookmarks, like I always did. It was not necessary to export and to keep them, because I have never had problems before and I trusted Firefox.

Now this did not happen and I lost if not thousands of my bookmarks I have gather in years... I'm very disappointed, for the first time.

Do you have a cache or something or other solution so I can get my bookmarks back? Thanks.

I opened my bookmarks today to find out that all my bookmarks are showing the same web address (Chevrolet.com). And when I went to Recovery, I only found the backup that Firefox did today with the single web address for all my bookmarks. Firefox was updated to version 120 on 11/21/2023.

I have a problem retrieving my favorites/bookmarks. I changed computers (all of them, even the hard drives).

I would like to recover my favorites/bookmarks but cannot do so because I am asked to look for them in folders that I no longer have, because they are on the old computer.

Does Firefox not save any information about my favorites/bookmarks? Have I lost them all? Do I have to redo my whole life?

What has happened to all of my Task Bar / Tool Bar? As of today, Sunday Nov. 26th, everything is gone. In addition the browser itself looks "different" some how.

Unless I'm crazy, Firefox used to import the tags in an exported bookmarks HTML file. I used this to move bookmarks between profiles. What happened to that capability?

From the main opening screen on the right hand side ( Pic1 ) click on the three horizontal lines Tab. Go down to "Bookmarks" listing (Pic2) Click on " Bookmarks " to open and it gives you Pic3.

At the bottom of Pic3 is " Recent Bookmarks " and it lists ALL the previous bookmarks that have been opened.

Question - I do not want that list displayed, How / Where do you disable it in Firefox ?

Other people who have posted this question have had individuals just saying " Right click " on the bookmark and delete. That not only deletes it from the recent bookmarks list BUT also from the Actual Bookmarks!

So.... not a good idea.

I have spent over an hour searching the internet and the Firefox settings trying to figure it out.

Hi - I just reset my PC and trying to restore Firefox. I saved the default release folder (qejikze4.default-release-1669319412153) which contains the latest bookmarks in the "bookmarkbackups" folder. I tried to just replace the bookmark file in the new install (how I previously transfered them), but I can't find the files in the latest V.120 version. Any suggestions on how I can do it?

Is there a way to display a column in the bookmark manager (Ctrl+Shift+O) which would show in which folder each particular bookmark is?

Is there a way to search for bookmarks (in the bookmark manager or the bookmark sidebar (Ctrl+B)) by specifically excluding certain (bookmark) folders (e.g. MySessions, Save for Read Later, BSP2 trash folder, etc)?

If the above is not available, please kindly consider those ever since important features.

Please help me restore my bookmarks and history - the update seems to have wiped everything clean. PLUS I have multiple Firefox icons appearing in my dock. MacBook Pro.
