I suddenly started a thick outline shadow around dialogue boxes such as the Google search bar. I thought it was them but it is on all websites and only on Firefox. I did not change anything. I did restart my pc yesterday but it just started this morning when I opened Firefox. Firefox 124, Windows 10 I don't like it and want to get rid of it but I don't know how.

I've followed this tutorial on howto install firefox as deb via apt. After successfull installation the menu font looks really wierd. It looks stretched and the numbers are not displayed correctly.

Recently, I have been unable to hold down backspace to delete multiple characters in certain text boxes in Firefox. Namely, in the EndeavorOS forum post text box, Google Docs, and the google search box. I am not experiencing this issue with any other app, and in chrome, with the same pages, the issue doesn’t occur. The issue also does not occur in the URL box or the forum post text box here. The issue still occurs in troubleshoot mode.

Previously I've been able to select search suggestions using the keyboard when typing into a search bar. As of a few days ago this no longer works on some sites like YouTube, but does work on others like Google. The issue is not to do with num lock or scroll lock, and my browser is up to date (124.0.1 Ubuntu Snap version).

Hello, Firefox randomly downloaded a file, with seemingly randomly name, that is 0 bytes and in download manager the source is moz-safe-about. It happened when I was accessing a popular wiki site. I opened the file in notepad, it was empty. I put it on virus total and came back negative, as it is an empty file. I've curbed through the support tickets here, using the keyphrase 'moz-safe-about'. I understand this was/is quite a common problem, but it still makes me quite worried and left a sour taste in my mouth, as I haven't understood any of the explanations. I have enabled firefox to ask me whenever it wants to save something (I have no idea why this isnt the default state). Happened on a somewhat fresh, updated win 11 installation. I'm also attaching more information here with a picture. Long story short: should I be worried? Am I overreacting and this is just some sort of a bug that occurred while getting a sites data? Hi, I seem to be increasingly having problems logging into some sites. Mostly it seems to be football sites - https://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au/afl?destination=%2Fafl%2Fclassic&apiIdentifier=afl_classic and https://www.fanfooty.com.au/. Both are working fine in Chrome with the same username and password. Recently I couldn't log into my AGL electricity account, then suddenly, it came good on it's own. I have cleared the cookies but that didn't help. Cheers, Ian.

Since I upgraded from Kaspersky Internet Security to Kaspersky Plus, my Protected Browser version of Firefox has lost track of my current Protected bookmarks and stored passwords - but the bookmarks and passwords in the standard (i.e. not Protected Browser) Firefox remain the current set. Unfortunately this is a different set, so I no longer have access to the Protected passwords etc. Although Firefox has just updated to 124.0.1 the About display in Protected Browser insists "Firefox is being updated by another instance". Kaspersky have studied the GetSystemInfo report and cannot find anything amiss, so is Firefox causing the problem? e.g. where in Firefox did Kaspersky manage to find a three-years-out-of-date set of bookmarks and passwords?

I have been going to the same website using Firefox for a year or two and now when I go there the home page for the site shows up for a few seconds then disappears leaving a white screen. Once when I was backspacing there was a notice saying it had been deleted from it's cache and to reload which I did but nothing happened. I have also been using CCleaner and I have been cleaning the MFT free space for Drive C I've been doing that for a month or so and I'm wondering if that caused the problem? I wouldn't think so if it was the problem it should have happened the first time I used it and it should happen on my other browsers and it hasn't. It's only 2 web sites that I know of that have this problem there may be others but I haven't found them yet. How do I get FF to reload the site in it's cache and keep it there if this is a problem with FF? If this is a problem with CCleaner and the free space scan I'd like to know that. Thanks for any help this is great.

I had to delete Firefox on my iPhone because links in emails wouldn't open anymore. Yes, it was set for default.

When I re-installed it, the tabs don't close. I hit the X to make a webpage go away and open a new tab. Hit that X when I'm through. Then close an empty Firefox on my phone.

When I reopen Firefox, I get all these little miniature webpages of the tabs I closed. I don't want them. I closed them because I was through. This is wasting my time making me close them again and again ...

Please tell me how to set Firefox on my iPhone so that when I open it I get my homepage with shortcuts I have chosen and nothing else.

I don't know if that was supposed to look like, but when rendering MathML in Firefox 124.0.1 when one uses "mtable" element the browser adds very huge gaps around.

Would a FireFox programmer please explain to me why you took away the scroll bar at the bottom of the browser? All companies are taking away too many options and ALLLL software doesn't work as well as before.............

Thunderbird also needs the scroll bar at the bottom of the e-mail and the sizing of columns fixed.

Issue: The "Recommended stories" setting for the new tab default home page periodically re-enables itself.

Version Info: Firefox 124.0.1 (64-bit) OS: Linux Mint 21.1 Cinnamon

Additional Information:

• I do not use pocket, at all
• All settings that I can find related to pocket are disabled
• I do use Firefox Sync, however the other device (124.0.1 (64-bit) on pop_os!) does not have this issue
• Does not correlate to version updates (Mint has automatic updates disabled in policies)
• Does not occur after a simple restart

I am tired of disabling this setting and having it return seemingly randomly. I have no interest in these stories, and consider them spam.

Please assist me in determining why this is happening on this device and how we can go about preventing it going forward.

I noticed that a couple of times when I click on an external link on a mail or a bookmarked site as icon on my mac, Firefox closes all the tabs and open that link in a new window, so I lose all the tabs and address... Sometime I have more than 30 tabs open and i't difficult to reopen all from history. What happen? Why? I can't see also the "restore last session" command into History menu. Can be fix it? Thank you.

Dear Community,

After I tried to fix a slow browser in troubleshoot mode and reseted firefox, I get each time i start Firefox a success page with the option of restoring tabs.

I don't want that, I want my own startpage when i start Firefox, but i tried to get rid of it whiteout success. I enclosed a screenshot of the page i see everytime now.

I hope there is a solution for it to get my startpage back.

How do I perform very basic editor functions like add/remove/move a page in the new Firefox PDF document editor? I am in the Mainstream Firefox 124.0.1 64-bit. Thank You, David

I'm having a problem logging into one of my banking sites. I talked to the bank tech support yesterday and did a password reset. There was nothing wrong with my old password. That worked yesterday but today I'm back to the same problem. It won't log me in.

I deleted cookies and cleared cache but still not logging me in. I tried another browser (Edge) and got right in. In Firefox, I use private mode to log into financial accounts but I also tried the regular browser and still won't let me in. This is the only account I have a login problem with. It did work after the password reset if that's a clue but I don't want to have to do that every day just to check my account.

I need a fix for this. It's very inconvenient and it is the only account I have a problem logging into with Firefox.

Received an error message Platform version 124.0.2 not compatible min/max version >=124.01.... Solution on Mozilla was to refresh uninstall/ etc. and not remove data; that choice about no removing data didn't come up. now all my bookmarks are gone, and when i tried to restore backup, the latest was oct 2022 and didn't have but a few bookmarks. Can these be pulled from anywhere else?
