Profile cannot be accessed

Hello!

I'm getting an error message from Firefox whenever I try to open it that my profile is missing or cannot be accessed (see attached image).

I have tried everything from the help articles so far, and nothing worked. I deleted the profiles.ini file, I deleted the entire Firefox folder under Application Support, I have deleted Firefox and reinstalled it. None of that worked.

Even when I try to create/delete/save my profile over the Terminal, I get the attached error message.

I love using Firefox, but I simply cannot use it this way. No matter if I use the default, developers or nightly version.

If anyone has an idea how I could fix the issue I would be incredibly thankful.

Hello. I downloaded a Netgear driver update utility zip file (??) and for some reason I got confused when it said it would open it with Windows Explorer... and I decided to have it opened with Firefox instead. To add dumb insult to dumb injury, I checked the box to have downloads do that with ALL files like that going forward. If i click on that downloaded file, more than 175 tabs open up before i can make it stop. How do I undo this? Thank you kindly in advance

Even though another application is selected under Options-Applications for "mailto", it still changes the mailto to FireFox in the registry under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto\shell\open\command and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto\DefaultIcon.

This only happens when FireFox updates itself. It does not happen when FireFox starts.

Firefox Nightly does not recognize any programs.

For example, when I download a configuration file from Zoom, it asks me what to do with that file.

Usually, My firefox recommends me some programs or I can browse through a few suggestions.

With Firefox Nightly, there is absolutely nothing suggested... I need to browse to the programs .exe file.

Why is that? Is that so because I got both browsers installed?? This is very annoying. I would like to use the nightly version. It seems not to have that "loading" issue of websites which my firefox always has.

I often view pictures on https://www.pixiv.net/ When I select one jpg image on pixiv.net, copy this picture and then paste it to somewhere else, It becomes completely blank. And the copied image file is broken due to unknown reasons. Here I added one picture. It shows the result when I paste a said jpg image from pixiv.net to somewhere else (like a word document page). This issue happens with firefox 83 and firefox beta 84. It never happens with firefox 82. I don't know what caused this issue.

I have been trying to install Firefox on a Windows computer running Windows 10 Pro. I have two users on the computer. I have installed Firefox successfully on the main user but every time I try to install for the second user, it does not install. it says it failed and leaves a strange icon on the desktop which, when I click, it deletes the file. I am not sure why. I have installed the same on 11 other computers with two users and no problem with those ones.

So Im trying to download a 1.19GB file and get 300mb/s ethernet speed using speedtest.net/ Now normally from my experience its never taken longer that 10 sec to Download such a file. Although since today, either Firefox or my pc has decided to limit download speed to 90kb/s which means this is going to take 3h or so to download. I use Windows 10, don't have a metered plan enabled or any other wifi/ethernet speed limiting things, and no third party security software. Anyone have any ideas why this could be happening?
