I have uninstalled FF ver. 62 - it was working, but I can't deal with Quantum's memory use. Tried installing ver. 35, 46, and 49 64-bit (uninstalled each one before installing the next), but none will allow me to add a bookmark to the toolbar. When I try to drag a site to the bookmark toolbar, a tiny triangle appears at the left edge of the toolbar and nothing happens. Also, when I choose "add bookmark" from the menu bar it displays the add bookmark dialog, I click Done but the bookmark doesn't show up under bookmarks, and the "Recently Bookmarked" item is grayed out.
Ads are being blocked, but I can't find an ad blocker installed.

Some ads are being blocked in Firefox, but for the life of me, I cannot find where I might have an ad blocker turned on in Firefox or installed as a plug-in or extension. Chrome displays the ads correctly. Example site is www.milesawaygrandparenting.com. There are three ads at the bottom of most pages which display in Chrome but not (for me, anyway) in Firefox.
Where might I look or troubleshoot to find out where the ads are being blocked? I have McAfee Total Protection installed, and Privacy Badger also.

Hello -- Weird thing, here. I'm trying to help a friend of mine. Recently Firefox on his Windows 10 laptop will not open google as his home page. When he opens Firefox the status bar indicates it's attempting a TLS handshake with google but after many, many seconds a blank page appears. I have made sure it's set as his home page and have done a refresh on Firefox. What's weird (to me, anyway) is that I can set any other page as his home page and it will open up directly into that page. Not google.
I'm guessing an update broke it but am not there daily. Please let me know what other specifics are needed to help me solve this for him.

How do I turn this function off so that it will not become full screen unless I explicitly choose that option from the fullscreen/restore button or a menu option inside Firefox.

Why can't I log into my old firefox account from 2013? My account was considered a "Theme Artist" and I only ever uploaded one theme. But it says the email doesn't exist when I try to recover the password through the email. Yes it is 100% the correct email, I've only EVER had two emails, I'm certain it was this one and I even have old emails from mozilla themselves talking about my account. As you can see in the screenshot though it says it's from "nobody@mozilla", but it definitely wasn't a phishing email so a lot internally has probably changed within mozilla since 2015. But, how do I talk to an actual developer to recover my account as obviously you guys wouldn't be able to help with this. I know it was a long time ago and a lot has probably changed internally with mozilla but I would like access to my account back.
Oh, and yes my artwork Theme is still uploaded to the addons website: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/user/7768082/

PS: I asking using Waterfox, but Waterfox 2019 killed most legacy add-ons, so I'm looking to to back to Firefox. I solved almost all my problems, except this one which is crucial. There are many sites I visit regularly and would like a 2 line bookmark toolbar, (entirely separate from regular bookmarks that are stored in a different area and in their own folders). The bookmark toolbar is very convenient, but would be far better if it could be increased to 2 or even 3 rows, to avoid the hassle of clicking through folders to find my most commonly visited sites. Using Firefox 70.0.1 on Windows 7 desktop computer, 64 bit. Thanks to anyone who can solve this!

Problem:
Back in 2015, Mozilla destroyed the search bar by removing the text labels, making it almost impossible to search because you can't find the engine you want. They also removed the ability to switch engines, meaning you have to nominate your engine every single time you search.
On top of this, Mozilla reversed the order you do things: It used to be that first you chose the type of content you wanted, then you thought about your exact query. But now, you first have to specify your exact query and THEN think about the type of content you want to search for, which is totally counter-intuitive and terrible interface design. It's like being asked for the name of the meal, movie or book you want, before you've even decided whether you want a meal, movie or book!
The reason Mozilla gave for these awful changes was to "make searching faster", but that simply is not the case. The new search bar requires just as many clicks, yet it's drastically slower to use as it's almost impossible to find the engine you're looking for from all the unlabeled engines. Plus, having to type your query first is completely counterintuitive to the user's thought process and slows things down even further.
Solution:
For a couple of years, Classic Theme Restorer was the perfect solution, bringing back the old bar exactly as it should be. However, since Firefox Quantum, Classic Theme Restorer doesn't work, so I've been using Jefferson Scher's excellent userchrome script. (Thank you Mr Scher!)
Sadly, with Firefox 70, the script seems to be broken again and many of the engines are missing from the list. I've tried taking the script directly from Jefferson Scher's website, but doing so just makes text labels disappear. It just seems to be broken again.
